December 22, 200619 yr I for myself probably would mind it very much. I already get enough people following me at least 5 times a day saying "Whack me with chicken". Seriously, is it too much to show a little respect and just say please? I can't even imagine having a Skillcape. I think that once I get my Firemaking Skillcape (soon I hope), I'll rarely, if ever wear it. If someone asks politely, I'll happily show them the emote, but unfortunately most of the Runescape Community is a bunch of demanding, disrespectul people who think they're in charge of everyone. Thats one of the reasons I'm very glad to have found Tip.It, everyone here is awesome Expecting a good life because you're a good person is like expecting a bull not to charge because you're a vegetarian.

December 22, 200619 yr wow, this is kind of...... odd all you skill cape owners discontinue wearing you skill capes, because you're too selfish to wait 10 seconds and do a stupid litle emote for begging noobs? just do the emote, and get on with life. personally, i dont beg to see emotes, but i cant stand level 126's wearing capes refusing to do the emote, because they cant waste 10 seconds of their life. Wow, this is kind of........odd: I felt my IQ dropping by about 100 after reading this. I personally agree with him (leinfo). If it's annoying that you have to impress people with the capes, then don't try and impress them by wearing the capes. Fairly simple logic if you ask me. If making someone happy means spending 5 seconds of your life after only clicking a button a problem, then don't wear the cape. Basically, if "emote beggars" are just too much for you, then just don't wear it. Again, simple logic. I also love how people are so bad at comebacks and counterarguments that the only thing they can say in response to an intelligent post is "uh, well, you're dumb! "sticking out tongue*". I also love how people mistake that capes are only worn to show off to others or impress others, then tell the cape wearers to just suck up the abuse that goes along with it, or leave the cape in bank. Does it take 10 seconds for A SINGLE emote ? yes. Does it take 20 seconds for two emotes ? Yes. Does it get annoying if asked 20 times an hour ? Yes. Does it get annoying to be asked to do it again, just after you did the emote and the one asking wasn't paying attention anymore ? Yes. Does it interrupt whatever you're doing ? Heck yes. There, I spent more than 10 seconds of my life on this post........happy ? oh no, well we wouldnt want you to loose 10 seconds of running or take a break from cutting a tree, or making a potion, etc. the point is, just do hte emote once if oyur being begged, then say somehting polite in refuse to further begs like, "im sorry i've already shwon you my emote" I seriously doubt you are asked that many times, by now people have seen all the emotes excpet for uncommon ones such as herblore, agility, etc. thanks for the cropping Mr Joob =]

Sure...10 seconds isn't much of my life... But when you get asked by almost everyone you pass by, it sure takes alot of time (and the smithing emote is one of the longest emotes in game as well, lol) I love the free xp I'm getting from the cape though. Ppl usually bring me rune bars and ask me to smith them some items out of the bars (although there are plenty of noobs who ask for multiple sets of free rune)
December 22, 200619 yr IMHO the way I see it is that basically your wearing the cape to show off, they're designed to let you show off, and your complaining about having to show it off. You could always wear obby cape, same bonuses with no pestering. Although I probably would hate it, which is why I don't buy a quest cape lol. :P
December 22, 200619 yr I love the free xp I'm getting from the cape though. Ppl usually bring me rune bars and ask me to smith them some items out of the bars (although there are plenty of noobs who ask for multiple sets of free rune) I agree that's annoying. Rune bar takes long to spawn, and there are less than 15 rune rocks in entire runescape. I'd find it annoying if I had 99 smithing. Full rune is worth something like 180K it is totally not free.
December 22, 200619 yr It gets annoying a few times, some people even ask for the emote from the firecape which dont have one.

There are only 6 rune rocks I can think of :s 3 in wildy (1 below the lava maze, or at least it was there in rsc) 2 in the heroes gulid 1 in the dark caves (dark beasts) Anyways, yes... It's hard work to get that rune and ppl expect me to just hand over free rune because I have a high level? I have a life... Not like I'm going to spend it on mining/smithing rune and giving it away, at least not to total strangers
December 22, 200619 yr That's like asking "Are you alive right now?" Supermonk, proving you wrong since 1992. Supermonk rocks, I want to have his children.Music is like candy. You always get rid of the rapper.
December 22, 200619 yr I'm getting second thoughts about completing the last few quests because of this problem. [hide=]tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :( :lol:But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities. That tears it. I'm starting an animal rebellion using my mind powers. Those PETA bastards will never see it coming until the porcupines are half way up their asses.[/hide]Apparently a lot of people say it. I own. http://linkagg.com/ Not my site, but a simple, budding site that links often unheard-of websites that are amazing for usefulness and fun.
December 22, 200619 yr I don't mind if they ask with proper english like "Can you please do the emote" other than "do emote plz" Quit RuneScape :)
December 22, 200619 yr It depends. If I'm doing nothing and they ask politely I usually do it, but I get REALLY annoyed when people ask and I'm obviously busy. Yeah I don't want to spend 15 seconds doing my long-[wagon] cooking emote every time someone asks. It might not seem like much, but it adds up when you have people asking every few minutes, or even saying 'do it again' after you just did it.

December 23, 200619 yr Ok for my case, my mining cape is rarely seen in the game, so the people's approach to getting me to do emote... -"I have not seen the emote before" (since it's fairly rare of course much have not seen it, not a good enough excuse) -*Compliments me first before asking me for emote* ( i knew i saw that coming) I get about 10+ emote beggars a day and almost from everywhere (except the ones that mistook my cape for quest cape), which is very bad.. :( However i still want to wear my mining cape proudly \ Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.
December 23, 200619 yr i norm dont get annoyed when its somebody with a higher cb lvl than me or when they have been talking to me for a while beforehand i ignore people who just click 'follow' and beg to see my emote...thats just like some1 randomly coming up to u and asking to see how much money u have in ur wallet -.- Click here to see my goals and achievements thread
December 23, 200619 yr I don't get annoyed when they actually ask.I get annoyed when the tell me to do the emote,as in "Do emote!11!","Do the emote!" etc.Or when they expect me to drop whatever i am currently involved with so they could see the emote. If they ask nicely i do the emote.
December 23, 200619 yr I ask, politely and if they don't want to I leave them alone. I have a Quest Point Cape and I get spammed very little since it is quite a common cape, thank god! Well yes I do hate it when they dont get it that I won't show them the emote.
December 23, 200619 yr Think i've seen you saying "Pay me 5k and i'll do it" Lep. Their reply was something like Omg noob beggar   If only i could click that emote. Currently not active on RuneScape.

If they ask nicely i do the emote. I agree, the emote doesnt take that long(cooking, aguably the longest one out there) , and i like to entertain polite newbs who have never seen emote. Examples of what i do. (A)"Hey Goat, can you please show me your emote?" Of course I do the emote, they are asking nicely and just want to see the emote. (B)"do emote." Just, no... ©"Do emote plz" It depends on my mood or what im doing, i will usually do it though because they said please(or plz). Ive had 99 cooking for 24 hrs, heres how many of each ive had. (A)1, I even did it again because he was so nice. (B)1, Didnt do, was a bossy noob. ©5-7, Most usual way youll see, wont do again for them though. So 10 times max today ive been asked to do emote.Let me go cry  I shall take my flock underneath my own wing, and kick them right the [bleep] out of the tree. If they were meant to fly, they won't break their necks on the concrete. So, what is 1.111... equal to?10/9. Please don't continue.
December 23, 200619 yr it really doesnt bother me considering i have such a low combat lvl for a quest cape i kinda like showing off a little especially to lvl 110s who dont have one \ lost rights to my dark red text >:( 12/20/06 - QUEST CAPE OF ACHIEVEMENTBarrows sets: guthan, verac, dharok, maybe ahrim eventually <- lost to a hacker whole stole everything of worth from my bank
December 23, 200619 yr Overall, I'm very fine with the asking to do emotes. The only thing that annoys me is when they ask to see it again and verbally assault you when you don't do it again.
December 23, 200619 yr I just ignore them. Never trust anyone. You are always alone, and betrayal is inevitable.Nothing is safe from the jaws of the decompiler.
December 23, 200619 yr I havent been asked to do emote cuz I dont have 1 lol. I havent once asked any 1 to do it, when I get the level Ill see it, which is a big goal for me, seems how im a lazy butt Sees Chocolate should be a medicine on my life insurance plan
December 23, 200619 yr i don't have one so it doesn't annoy when people ask me because it can't since they aren't asking me but seeing other people be begged is annoying Doing a little bit of everything
December 23, 200619 yr i dont have one yet (almost have a quest one but..) but i know how it could be really annoying. even more annoying for the rarer ones.
