January 13, 200719 yr Title Says it all. Tell me the best book you've ever Read and a little bit about them. For me its two. I like them both the best. The First book is called "Bravo Two Zero" written by Andy McNab which is a famous true story of an SAS Patrol behind enemy lines in the First Gulf War in Iraq, where their position got compromised after a couple of days and had to try and escape to the Syrian Border. In the end Four Men were captured (one being the leader Andy McNab), three died and one of them escaped. I was on the edge of my seat reading it the whole way through and loved it! :D The 2nd is a fictional series of 21 small books divided into 2 large series books. There's more out there I just haven't been able to locate the other books as their in a different language originally and got translated over (and I've only been able to find the English translation of books 1-21). The series of books are called "Rolf Torring's Adventures" by Hans Warren Holm and were gripping from start to finish. I had never read so many pages so fast in my life before this book. {Oh and If anyone can give me the whereabouts of where I can get books 22 and onwards I would be eternally grateful} :) The books pretty much are set in South East Asia and up into the jungles of Asia and pretty much get up to a ton of adventures. So there's mine. Tell me your favorite book of all time. And a little bit about it. :) And please, no one reply saying that they don't read books or anything like that. I really don't care. ~~Eelspremiers~~

January 13, 200719 yr I don't read books. ... Not regularly, anyway. The best ones I have read have generally been when I've been on holiday. My favourites are The Restaurant at the End of the Universe by Douglas Adams, and The Devil's Dictionary by Ambrose Bierce.

January 13, 200719 yr Honestly, The Lord of the Rings books. I love them :XD: Same here. I can't stand them lol. :P Anyway. Darkling Plain by Philip Reeve - I think I was crying as I read this, and I rarely get emotionally involved in stories. It's frustrating sad but a great read. :D
January 13, 200719 yr In all honesty, i hate reading books. Even though I had to read books in school :( But the only set of books iv read outside of school is the Harry Potter series, which i quite enjoy. Main/Retired - BuzzsawCurrent Account - Wileout
January 13, 200719 yr Gah, hard to narrow it down. I'll say two from vastly different genres. Douglas Adams - Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. So random, so classic Tom Clancy - Red Storm Rising. It's a 700 page long nonstop description of how WW3 would act (in 1985) if no one used nukes. It reads like a giant Command and Conquer level but when you read it you need a map of Europe in one hand and a computer with Wikipedia near by so you can look up all the different tanks/jets/Russian ships. :)
January 13, 200719 yr The wheel of time series (Robert Jordan) 1984 (George Orwell) To Kill a Mockingbird Enders game (Don't read his other books though #-o) Umm... With fire and Sword The Blind Watchmaker by Richard Dawkins Emperors -(something) by Zacharis Timothy, or maybe it was Timothy Zacharis (best star wars trilogy) Hmm.. I'm trying to think of some good books I really should get back to reading, haven't read a good book in two months. Les Miserables maybe? (Victor Hugo)
January 13, 200719 yr I can't stand them lol. :P Yeah, it's definitely not for everyone. But I got hooked on when I got the feeling of how vast the Middle Earth is or how rich the history Tolkien made it to be. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
January 13, 200719 yr The best book I've ever read is probably Ender's Game. [insert birds flying in a circle here]Yes, that sig was annoying.
January 13, 200719 yr Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov, though Pale Fire is a close second. I also like Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. Me doing staff.
January 13, 200719 yr I can't stand them lol. :P Yeah, it's definitely not for everyone. But I got hooked on when I got the feeling of how vast the Middle Earth is or how rich the history Tolkien made it to be. Talking of Middle Earth... I loved the Middle Earth series by Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell. It's almost childish, but it's so much fun to read.
January 13, 200719 yr Douglas Adams - Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. So random, so classic Agreed :D. One of the only books I could actualy get through.
January 13, 200719 yr I can't stand them lol. :P Yeah, it's definitely not for everyone. But I got hooked on when I got the feeling of how vast the Middle Earth is or how rich the history Tolkien made it to be. I'm reading the Silmarillion :XD: Very dry, but also very interesting. He invented a whole universe.
