Jagex mods have said it has a purpose, players just havnt found it yet.

Well I'd keep it, they may make a use for it and hardly anyone would have it so you could sell it for loads

I think what he meant is when you mine a rock its the same as attackig the person: by clicking on it. Then the miner will be skulled as he thought he was going to mine, but skulled himself instead.

If you turn into a rock, are you solid, or can people walk through you? Because if you are solid, you can make a wall of rocks to protect someone.. :lol:

The price that the ring of stone is worth, it's not worth it. It would be better if it had bonuses, now that ring would be worth 5M if it did. Str bonuses would be awsome \

Not sure if it still applies, but it's said that the easter ring and the ring of stone both have a freeze-time effect.

while wearing the ring, you cannot be frozen or cursed. Its been tested and is flawless

It should take you off the minimap.

Anyways, I say just give it some stat bonuses and make it need to be operated for it to turn you to stone.

There are a lot of questions about the ring, does anyone know if it freezes the effect of poison?

look at the emerald necklace? ruby necklace, dimaond, dragstone?? some 1 mentioned bird eggs, but theirs alot more items in rs that dont have a purpose then you would think.

I think when Jagex released the onyx jewellery, they said that the ring of stone would have some powers later on; I know this only because somebody went back and found that article and quoted it on these forums a few weeks ago.

Maybe you'd be camouflaged when hunting :D

Of you have either flag and turn into a stone the flag gets hidden. Although tbh, if someone see's a random group of people but know flag, it's a safe bet that the rock has it.

Dude it's awesome. One time my friend was in a war, and accidentally brought his ring of stone with him there :-# ..

 

 

 

He killed 3 people in barrows armor (What a war sheesh..) Picked up all their loot.(Gets Tbed) By the other team and runs into the black castle in the wilderness. He runs around losing them... Runs to the coal mines and realizes he has his ring of stone!! LOLLLLL. He turns into a coal rock/mined rock and they run right passed him!!!! :D One of them runs back and yells HEY THERES A WHITE DOT!! And then he logs out.. Whew. Thanks to them being dumb, he made it out safe with 2 torags sets and 1 set of veracs.
