Maybe the new whip? :P

lets be original i hate when people suggest more whips, its dumb. its unique.

That'd be interesting, I'd like to see things more like the Barrows weapons meaning their uniqueness in regards to just about every other weapon floating around Runescape.

yea tell me about it.. optimistic 12 year olds... dark beast drop pl0x... lol now lemme control myself dont wanna be as optimistic as the 12 year olds.... but if they do release them i hope its from a select few monsters and its actually a drop... when they said 3rd age items were going to be "rarer then a challenge scroll from imp" i thoughtthey were going to be a dropped item because challenge scrolls are dropped. i was dissapointed when they were rewards from clue scrolls even though now its not as bad as it could have been. but if they make weapons i hope they make it be dropped by a select few monsters Ie: King Black Dragon, Dark Beasts, Red Dragon, Kalphite Queen, Dagganoth Rex, and so on.....

I was thinking of a "chain" kind of an idea. It would be two handed and it would have a [bleep]e at the end. I guess it would be kind of like a whip, but I would love to see someone dragging back a chain then whipping the skin of the bones of lurers. :)

Sig by me....

I definitely agree; 3rd age weps would be awsome. They should also have a set effect.

As to the post complaining about their prices, they are supposed to be that expensive. The chance of getting them from a tt is 1/10000.

A tazer, enough said. Zap zap, fun, eh? As fast as a dagger and as deadly as a great axe.

we need good weapon, and maybe even 2 totally different

weapon 1.

fast. faster than msb. hitting good combo, maybe it would have minium damage around 10, ÃÆÃâÃâûber training weapon. special (only working on monster and with full set) with massive crushing effect stunning opponent, hitting around 20 instant damage aside with your normal hitting and rising your combat stats slightly, even while potted.

weapon 2.

slower than even hallys, causing massive damage to all living. again, with good special. the special would only effect on non-human charaecters, so paladins and such would be cutted out. the damage would be as high as your current strength lvl, potting incounting, prayer out, and salve out.

i wouldnt still take these to kq or something, imagine the pain if you die :XD:

Melee

>3rd Age Dual Swords, like 1 in each hand? Katana type swords.

>3rd Age Mace, a decorative and highly powerful mace, like drag baxe strength at least

>3rd Age Knuckleduster, looks like a huge [bleep]y gauntlet, that hits at the same speed as unarmed combat but much much harder.

Mage

>3rd Age Orb/s, a glowing magic orb you hold in your hand, maybe 1 in each hand? massive mage bonus

Range

>3rd Age Falcon, an ancient long-lifed falcon that attacks your foe from your arm, ammo could be some sort of treat that they wont attack without being fed

god its like every kid who want to have a :soopR wEp0n d00dz" is posting here... while there are alot of ideas thrown around you have to take into account everything that a weapon IS... Weight str bonus speed ect... not just what it looks like...

The guy right above me did a decent job... Lets try and SHOW people what we are thinking not just throw out random ideas... :-w

the set effect thing would be cool yomom1919

New sigzor^^

Melee

3rd Age Twin-Halberd - A Halberd that contains a blade on each end of it. The weapon has an unusually low strength, however each strike will automatically hit twice (without special). The Special Attack would double the power of both of these attacks.

3rd Age [bleep]ed Shield - A 2-handed weapon that looks more like a shield then a weapon. In the center of the shield would be a large [bleep]e for Stab attacks. Lining the circumfrence of the shield would be small blades to be used for Slash Attacks. The shield would give Attack Bonuses somewhere between a Dragon Longsword and Dragon Battle Axe and have the speed of Verac's Flail, however it would give unusually high Defense bonuses for a Shield.

Magic

3rd Age Elemental Battle Stave - An Elemental Battle Stave that can be enchanted with the power of 1 Elemental Rune, and the power to cut in half the amount of any other Elemental Rune needed for a spell. This stave would require 1500 of a rune to change its Enchantment using a POH Study.

3rd Age Staff of Power - A Special Battle Staff that can be enchanted with the powers of Mind, Chaos, Death or Blood. By using 1500 of the rune of your choice with a Crystal Ball (?) in your Study, you will enchant your staff with 3000 of that particular rune. A staff can only be traded when it has a full charge or 0 charge. If you wish to empty the charge, you may return it to a Crystal Ball, where you will receive 1/4 of the runes remaining to put towards a new charge. The number of Runes left in the staff will be indicated in your Magic Menu when you hover over a spell that uses that rune (It will display a number, rather than *). When you select a spell, there will be a toggle button available as well that will allow you to use up runes in your inventory for your spell before the magic begins to be drained from your staff.

EX: You enchant your staff with Blood. Rather than seeing */2 for a Blood spell, you would see 3000/2 at full charge, which would then become 2998/2, 2996/2, etc.

Range

3rd Age Boomerang - An unusual Range Weapon that returns to its thrower. The Boomerang is lined with metal blades to give it its power, and occasionally may fall short. In this case, the user must run out and reobtain it. This Boomerang contains power thought unimaginable before, being able to hit solid 30s when someone has a Range level in the high 90s. The Boomerang can also be used as a Melee Weapon, if desired.

That's all I got in the line of potential 3rd Age weapons...

I had similar idea too those, i thought of a twin blade sword, and a boomerang, but i thought for a boomerang, it wouldnt have ammo so it would require an upkeep of some sort which would be expensive for jagex to implement it, Karils x-bow needs ammo and upkeep!

they just need to release armor for lv 80 90 and 99 melee stats, untradable or, tradable but unwieldable unless you have the stats(average of lvl 80,90,99 in every stat.) exluding prayer in that average.

personally I think that whips are strong enough, if not too strong. If they released these weapons they should have a different benefit than a whip. Like as good as a whip but against certain types of monsters due to having a higher crush? stab? something like that. I think you get my point :o .

I really think 3rd age is underpowered as it is. I think Jagex should make 3rd age the 80+ armor everyone is waiting for. Lets have a comparison as to why 3rd age is underpowered:

Chance of a 3rd age item from treasure trails: 1 in 10,000 (from jagex themselves, approximately)

Chance of a barrows item from barrows: 1 in 12 (with 20-30 kc. approx; read leesters' post "Kill count does increase your chance of getting a barrows item" for any doubts)

Now I am aware, as everyone else is, that barrows decays. However, the average price for a 3rd age kiteshield is anywhere from 90-120M. Say full Guthans is 9.2m, and we are marking 3rd age kite at 100m. In order to spend 100m on a full set of guthans + repairs, you need to have completed 250 full repairs, or 4,000 hours of guthans usage.

I honestly dont think anyone is going through 166 full days of using guthans, so its quite obvious no barrows item will ever come near the price of a 3rd age item even with repairs. Remember, repairs are also only a measly little 360k.

Therefore, I think 3rd age should have much better stats than barrows, and also be the new 80 armor, or atleast 75 armor. Also, Like someone else suggested already, the weapons should have def requirements equal to the def req of the armor. That would give defence much more weight in combat.

I think Jagex only released 3rd aged to try and balance out the prices of the rares. They can control the drop rate of this armor, so they pretty much have the entire economy in their hands (of course, I may be completely wrong)...

If they do make 3rd age weapons, I hope it has some strength attack so that we can level strength while using whip for attack and defense. Also, I hope it looks better than granite helms does, lol.

dangg stuff that are so overpowered kind of nowadays
