Cbkviper
I thought I was making a ton of money by picking up iron daggers in the goblin hut, walking to varrock, selling them to the sword shop, walking back and repeating. :-w Looking back on it, the funny part was that there was actually competition for picking up the dagger. runepaladn
I did not know what the multi-combat sign meant for a very, very long time. Almost a year of confusion...
Echofish
I was pretty much a big noob my whole RS life until I reached lvl 50 or so.. I only found out that you could go through Al Kharid for free by going around it. I was following a friend and I'm like 'Dude, where are we?' 'Al Kharid!' 'Ehh?' I also thought that the multi-combat sign means I'm near the wilderness. I stayed away from Falador for 2 months or so  Ultra Unholy,Hearted Machine... zazacon
When I first got to lumbridge I immediately logged off because I saw men and women dieing. Then when I eventually logged back on I realized they were NPC'S. Then I met a really cool guy who showed me the ropes, gave me some stuff, and then everything went pretty smoothly there on out. truffoo
On my very first account (not this one) I didn't pay attention on tutorial island. Therefore I didn't know about banks so kept everything on me. Completed a couple of quests that gave me heaps of gp (like Sheep Shearer) and then died to a goblin. The world had ended, all was lost, so I started again ... only died a couple of times since (not counting once on purpose to see Grim Reaper). story isn't it? orangefire0
Oh, i'm not really sure, I remember having one of the beginner maps, and thinking that it was impossible to get to varroc, so I ran around the desert town(can't think of it's name right now) and Lumbrige for like two weeks, then I finally got there by mistake. Good times.
fakeitormakeit
1.) When I started out (the first day) I thought worlds were different "realms" of runescape and they each had something different, until 30seconds later were I told my friend I was by some bridge in a town called Lumbridge but I couldn't see him but he said he was there(different world). 2.)I don't know why I got so easily confused the first time I made a round trip (Lumbridge-Varrock-Barbarian Village-Falador-Draynor Village-Lumbridge) and had to keep looking at the map. Walmart44
When I first started playing and got a pick axe I mined copper and tim in the varrock mine, then i would walk theres ores from the varrock bank to lumbridge to smelt it, then walk from falador to the anvil north of it ( where that quest is). I did everything the hard way, but was to nooby to now better. Fear is your only God
Outsanity
I remember when my friend told me there was a wilderness to the north that had "levels," that I thought it was like...a minigame. And that the levels were levels such as in a game where you have to beat each level and get to the end. I found out how mistaken I was when my friend took me there and began to attack me. lol. I didn't die. He didn't want to kill me. Just teach me a valuable lesson. (Not to trust anyone.) I also did nothing but kill goblins, cut trees, and firemake for like a week because I didn't want to get lost, and I thought firemaking was the coolest thing ever. lmao. |2,300+ Total|138 Combat|12 Lvl 99 Skills|99 Slayer|

Kill_Thomas9
... you reminded me of myself. i was stuck on tutorial island making bread all day long. almost quit because of boredom. until another lvl 3 brought me out and told me that making bread and getting high cooking wasn't all there was to runescape. You can't speak to other players on Tut Island :shame: You obviously havn't been playing long. You used to be able to talk on tut island. So dont go act all superior and all when you're wrong. Best one on this thread so far. I remember finding out that I could go around the Al Kharid Gate (10 GP was wayyyyy to pricey back then). Seeing all those people still passing the gate, I thought to myself, "Hah, I know something they don't" : Good times... CampbellMC
My friend told me that I should train on chickens when I first started, I had no clue what I was looking for but he said to go north. I walked right past them and fell victim to the Varrock circle of darkness. My friend gave me some new armour and I trained to about level 10 and went in search of vengence against the Dark Circle and died again. My friend removed me and said I was a lost cause.
