i tend to wonder why many tipiters make fun of the official forums. its very helpful for selling items ingame, its also a great place to discuss stradegies.

Other than the marketplace (only thing I use offical forums for) its a load of bull in my opinion. I dont like talking with little kids, experence in real life and RS showed me theres no point. :uhh:

its better to post more quickly, to get faster replies. too bad you cant customize sigs, avvys though.

true enough, I tried to make the Illegal Danish clan (yes taken from WOW) and it went to page... 20 in... 30 seconds, and only 20 people read it! and 5 of them were me!

The only use of the official forums seems to be for the marketplace, and nothing more. I try to help people on the official forums by answering questions when I can, but there seems to be less recognition of being helpful on officla forums, than there is on fan site forums. :roll:

because you cant put pics or diagrams on there, so poeple dont know how to solve new puzzles traps etc...but here you can...and here you can add keyloggers, torjans etc..so up to you.

The TIF community is more mature and can carry out civilized conversations. Besides the marketplace, TIF is much better.

there are a lot of spam topics that tend to be weeded out really quick but there are also a lot of good topics around it. true there are a lot of morons who post on the good topics, but its the same way here lol..

On Topic: I used to go a lot on the goals and achievements forum. (Our blogscape and rate this in one forums.) And I liked actually, but now I have TIF it all seems rubbish. Just because you can't add any pics and such.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

O yea, almost forgotten, the ridiculous 2000 signs rule each post. They obviously put because of all the spamming kids. Those aren't very fun too.

The forums move too fast, people pay no attention to the rooms, and make many many many many spammy topics constantly. I would hate to be a forum mod there.

On-Topic: Personally I don't get it either. Sure you get the occasional spamming eejit who can't read the rules but there's plenty of mature people on the offical forums. As well as that the offical forums are better for posting suggestions and the rants can be pretty funny sometimes. Theres only 3 things I don't like about the offical forums: the dull background, the character limit and the lack of personal features.

i'm gonna agree with that. I see my share of really good and well thought through topics, and also my share of topics that make me want to stick my eyelid in the waffle iron.
