Why do you use tip. it?

Featured Replies

the news artical got me thinking, there are sooooooo many fansites out there, just google search and you will hind atleast 20 on the first page. So why do you use Tip. It? Or do you just use the forums?

Me, I use it for the atmosphere.

Easy, Tip.It keeps me from dying of boredom while skilling. Besides, it's a great place to study other peoples strategies and propably learn from their mistakes.

it was the first fansite i found :D

also it has good guides, and a good community

Mainly because the majority of users are mature and helpful. It was also the first fansite I noticed.

1. first fansite i ever saw.

2. very nice people.

- I'm not proud of everything I've done, but I have no regrets

Atmosphere, and the people try to help. (to some extent we are a community...)

Oh ya, and if you ever flamed some one (other than drop traders) you get flamed.

What has become of the runescape community???? :wall:

There is a community?

Well to be honest, I find Tip.It to be the best RS fansite that I have ever used! The guides are awesome, the forums are awesome-er, and so are the people! :D :D :D :D

I really feel comfortable here.

Pretty much what Dragon said.

Thread terminated.

I guess that means I'm the thread Terminator?

No Tip.Iters were harmed in the making of this post.

A little bit of everything. Mostly forums. I used a different fansite forum first, then when I came here I realized how much better it was here.

122 Combat : 99 Hits : 99 Attack : 99 Strength

97/99 Defence : 99 Fletching : 99 Woodcutting

it was the only fansite that was decent when i started playing

i think tip it was the first 1.

1. I don't wanna get my posts all the way back up on other sites (lol)

2. I've made a lot of friends here on TIF. (122 to be exact)

3. I've been here for over a year and it's been nice to me.

That's why I use Tip.It. Oh, RSC isn't great every thread is bumped down to the bottom everytime you refresh, so many people there..

This is probably the best fansite around and by that I mean in the community and helpfullness of the guides here. I also believe it is the oldest. The reason I use it is because I spend alot of my time fishing Lobsters on Karamja. So browsing the forums and reading through the Archive of Wisdom means for a more entertaining time. Well when it comes down to it, what would you rather do? Listen to the irritating noobs on the dock or browse tipit!

EDIT: Would it be much of a problem if you replaced the word 'y' in your title to 'Why'. Sort of annoying lol.

i only use tip.it for the guides, calcs and forums

the only flaw with tip.it is that they dont know anything on the street prices or other things about runescape

well i still like tip.it anyways

Woot! Got total lvl 900 in f2p!

:| Other things as in? They have a guide on pretty much everything..

Its was the best fansite I found with great guides and now about 80% of my list is friends from the Forums \'

Expecting a good life because you're a good person is like expecting a bull not to charge because you're a vegetarian.

I really love tip it, first fansite i found, a few months later i started to use the forums, and now have happily been a member for over 2 years.

If i didn't, i'd die of boredom while fishing. That's why :D

Lamest attempt at a lure ever.
No, Ive seen "selling easter egg 5m must be level 78 77 or 76 and meet at varrock bar unarmed.

I use it because of the community as a whole, of course, every FanSite will have it's 'bad apples', or complete and utter idiots, if you will.. but Tip.it's community is tight knit.

calvinandhobbessigedite.png

Well, I have a few reasons. Most of them already said.

1 it makes it easier to not die of boredome

2 most people are above the age of ten <.< *Cough* not like RunescapeRealm*Cough*

3 it helps me out a lot. I wouldn't be close to where i am now in runescape if it werent for this site...

-Useful Information on tip.it (calc., bestiary, etc.)

-The forum I read and post while play runescape.

-Meet many people on forum that otherwise wouldn't know.

̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Most people are mature, making things easy for everyone to understand.

̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ There is a lot of helpful information, and constant updates.

̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ It is very communal, and you actually feel like a part of the team.

̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ There is more than meets the eye.

Yesterday when I read the beastary guide, I found out that by entering an items name you can see which monsters drop that item.. which I was totally unaware of. I had thought that you could just enter monsters names and see what they drop. I am quite glad I found this out, and it proves that having a guide on everything is helpful.

I use tip.it and TIF mainly because of the quality of information and the fact that the community is so nice. I would be quite stuck without you guys! :)

Tip.it just keeps the boring out with funny stories and topics that keep me alive while skilling (usu. smelting steel bars)
