January 29, 200719 yr i had to walk the 3 miles each way to school when i was a kid, my mom couldn't afford the bus fare. my kids walk the 2 miles now, but if it is raining or if they have alot of stuff to take in/bring home they can get bus fare or i can drive them. January 29, 200719 yr i had to walk the 3 miles each way to school when i was a kid, my mom couldn't afford the bus fare. Psh, back in my day it was a five mile walk, uphill both ways. In the winter the snow was above our knees :notalk: I know the price. I pay it gladly.

January 29, 200719 yr Our school bus was set alight a few months ago. It totalled the bus and did considerable damage to the art block. That's the only major act of vanalism in the schools history (I think), although since I came there have been at least three incidents of spray painting and two bricked windows. January 29, 200719 yr That's happened to three or four schools in my area in the past month, and they all got closed down for the day too. Kids let the air out of the tires though, they didn't slash them.
