Someone in SODB got banned temporarily for saying "paris hilton has a weird nose"

WTH???

Maybe nose means something else in England? lol. I bet it was Luca :P

nose just means nose here. its not slang for anything.

on topic: couldnt the people who reported you get reported for misuse of the report system?

Probably. From what I understand, the chat went something like this...

Player1: Who uses Linux?

Player2: Me

Player1: Reported!11

Now it's hard to understand here because he managed to get someone to admit to using a "third party client" (note the quotations), and was therefore able to report them. That would be the same as if the person asked "Who uses SwiftSwitch?"

Linux is an operating system, not a client, its the same as banning someone for using mac or windows. Also, ss follows all the rules now so you couldn't get banned for that either.

I'm aware that Linux is an operating system. That's why when I called Linux a "third party client," I also said "(note the quotations)" although looking back on it, "client" may not have been the best term.

I'm also aware that SS is now considered legal, but for this purpose, I was refering to the illegal version of it...

don't worry, you are going to "hell" anyway. wanna race to see who gets there first?

It appears to me that jagex have made a mistake, and it should be sorted in your appeal. Unless you had somkind of add on tot he programe that broke the new 3rd party software rule (please dont think I am accusing you).

Jagex will always make mistakes, dont blame them, if you see how much they have to do, the odd mistake is bound to happen.

You will not find a way to fax jagex, they do not publish a phone number, and disreguard any CS issues via other e-mail adresses, and post.

OMG you need to sue Jagex. NOW!

They are clearly under the influence of Microsoft! Get the Sherman Antitrust act on them and they will unban you, because it is illegal to form monopolies!

I hope you get unbanned, this is violating your constitutional rights to a fair trial by your peers!!

Ok, I got banned for using Linux. How stupid is that? I was chopping magics, and I said "who here uses Linux to play Runescape"? There was at least 2 people who reported me, and now, 3 days later, I am banned for breaking Rule 7. I hope they respond to my query. And if that doesn't work, I am going to figure out how to fax them or something.

For those of you that don't know what Linux is, it's a type of free operating system with many different distributions.

OMG, that's awful man. Really sorry to hear that. I hope they give you some kind of compensation, say a years free membership or a 1m exp genie lamp or something :uhh:

Lets face it. No matter how good the game is, Jagex's CS isn't very good *cough* just like Mac computers *cough*.

I mean c'mon, I know of 2 tip.it users who were unbanned almsot 300 days after their banning!

[hide=]

tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :(
But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities.
That tears it. I'm starting an animal rebellion using my mind powers. Those PETA bastards will never see it coming until the porcupines are half way up their asses.

Apparently a lot of people say it. I own.

I think jagex is a bunch or deranged drunken monkeys, with their butts on fire, who are bribed to ban people.

Ok, i was jking about that, lol. No offence to jagex intended.

on topic~

thats is... beyond words. Thats like saying "who here uses the official rs client" and getting banned.

Im gunna make a rant, and send in a customer support query about it, then go cut myself (just kidding)

Btw, what rule did it say you were breaking?

I'm loving the fact that someone who works for a computer game programming company didn't know what Linux was...

It is Jagex afterall

don't talk abou t Jagex that way. THey didn't have to have f2p, or even make the game...

that aside, I use linux (not my main system though windows mostly) and I have almost never had a problem.

Report abuse buttons don't have a no 7 tell what he siad, they just send a snapshot, they could have misinterpreted.
