Recently, this question has been popping into my head. What am I buying with the money I am trying to make? I didn't want to buy any skills, but I didn't want to buy anything useless, like treasure trail items. This has lead me to quitting.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Anyways, why do you try to make money? To buy skills?

I've very competetive and I always am trying to raise my skills just to see my overall rank go up. Making money is just a bi-product and I get to enjoy owning a red mask for it :thumbsup: .

._. I'll miss you Erk. Hell I don't even bother making money any more, I hang with friends instead. With the money I DO make, I spend it torwards having fun. Whether it's running around skulled with a santa hat in the wildy (No lie) or soloing the kq with my gunthans, I try to have fun XD

buying skills is practical. honestly your intentions of being independent is noble but truly you should look deep inside your self, and hate people. and then buy supplies from people who really worked for what you want to buy, go F2P to buy most your stuff, they are the real workers

I get money...mostly for construction and collecting dust...I refuse to buy supplies!

I raise money mainly to buy skills and sometimes buy decorative clothes :

I raise money to keep my friends realous that I'm 1/3 their combat and 1 1/2 their skills and I CAN DO BARROWS!

I'm just trying to get the leetest outfits and pick cabbage, nothing more. Sometimes that requires cash. Sometimes it doesnt ( 4k Chompy hat ).

I try to make my skills raise, after that, I train some more for total 1337ness. But honostly, moneymaking isn't the funnest thing in the world, well if you're not a PK'er :P. I use some of money, for buyable skills like smithing. I use my combat money for just Barrow-ish stuff, Guthans, Super pots, etc. :-w

I raise mine for skills since I already have what I need

I saved up from 2M when I became members to 5M only 4 months later. In the meanwhile I got +500 skill total and numerous quests..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then a few days back:

 

 

 

900k on getting 60 prayer

 

 

 

800k on some TT I've always wanted.

 

 

 

1M on construction, I just want it up so badly..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I save money to realize at one point, that money isn't cool, its what you spend it on.. that is cool \

I get money to spend it on skills and buy items that I like or need.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And I also like seeing lots of money in my bank. \

i save money so when updates come and i'm on i get logged when it updates so i log back on run to the runes shop and buy deaths like crazy! :twisted:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'm f2p...i don't need a lot of money unless i want a rare or a 99.... :cry:

It's good you realised it's not all about this game. Everybody have to move on every once in a while and for you it's now.

I've asked myself this same question many times. For me, as a merchant, I'm going for the perfect bank + buying skills, My goal is a bank comparable to that of Leesters and at least 3 99's

i by stuff that looks cool and well some stats

this is how it works for me if i try to make money i just waste time and get no where fast when i don't try to make money it comes pouring in... I use my money i get to fund my skills.. There really isn't any item i want too bad so i just buy skills..

I've bought all the items I need - the only thing I spend money on now is runes for having fun mostly.

Get a 99 that you've always wanted, for me it's 99 magic.
