I got this idea from a friend, and I've been thinking about it while I've been playing recently. Have you noticed a relationship between a person's favorite skills and their personality? I'm not saying this holds true to all people, but in general I've noticed a trend.

People who have high defence and lower attack and strength - normally some of the more intelligent people (not all people, I know, and I don't mean to offend anyone).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

People who train herblore or farming seem to be the same as defense.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Have you noticed anything like this?

Imo there's noobs- idiots, high level skillers- smart/mature and the rest.

Ah yes, low-level skillers tend not to be jerks too =p

combat- more cruel person, power wanting

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

skilling- fame, power i don't know :P i agre with the defence thing tho

yes, i've noticed this a little bit... there are always a few nice people willing to chat in fishing guild...

I had a person in a former clan who had fairly high attack and defense, lower strength. He was very smart with PKing and such, probably because it takes a bit more skill to try and avoid losing a bunch of good armor and weapons in the wild than it does with a strength pure.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also, skillers are usually a lot nicer than normal people. Mainly the level 3 skill pures.

Shilo Fishers are usually calm and most of them quiet and nice.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fish Guild fishers are kind of talkitive, and can be annoying at times.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Catherby fishers...never mind.

Most runecrafters and skillers are very respectable (you knew I would say that), but from the people I know in real life, those who train mostly combat tend to be more young and immature. (level 109 friend with a lower total than me)

I tend to notice that people with high combat but low totals can be real jerks sometimes.

I've found that lower level woodcutters and fishers tend to like to talk randomly, while the high level ones are more mature and can carry out a normal conversation :thumbsup:

In all seriousness though, I don't think it's as simple as saying that high stats grant maturity.

Well I'm exceptionally well rounded, so what would I be :-s

I feel well-rounded also. 75 combat, 1127 total, 86 woodcutting. :thumbsup:

Crafting.. Lol.. What would I be? Dull?

There's a reason all skillers are nice ppl: you can't have a short temper and get lvl 99 woodcutting, it just takes too much patience!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But yes, I agree (I'm a nice person, too, just trying to get 70 attack to wield a whip right now).

Yep. i love crafting and thieving...but there's not much relation.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Combat wise i prefer atk and def.

Can probably put Questers in with def trainers/ herb / farmers. Requires a lot of time and thought for some quests. Only exception might be people people who use guides for every quest.

catherby-newbs can be good soemthimes, but usually bad. Entertaining, but bad

if i spent about 2-3 months i could probaly come up with a decent formula

in months 0-2 people tend to be very question'y so no real comment

 

 

 

in months 2-4 if you've got a high combat and a low total your probaly ganna be a noob'y kinna person and ganna keep this track for awhile

 

 

 

if you've got a rounded you're probaly mature and semi-knowledagable

 

 

 

if you've got a skiller then you will be looked down due to a low combat but in the long run you'll be alot better then them

 

 

 

4-8 months the person with a high combat will either learn or continue to be that avg lvl 70 you always see

 

 

 

the rounded person will become a mature person probaly finishing up legneds

 

 

 

and the skiller will continue to be shorta looked down apon but his total will be around 1400+

 

 

 

8-12 months at this point you will see a clear distinction between the lvl 80 now noob jerk

 

 

 

the rounded character will either have broken off and gone pure combat

 

 

 

and the skiller will be hitting around 1700 and becoming looked apon by his peers for his high levels and his combat will sore past the orginal person that was combat orridented because his greather access to rescoures

People with higher strength than attack and defence - Generally stuck up and arrogant; I've known MANY people like that.

For example myself (or so I'd like to think), 90combat with 1445 Total, not bad?

Players with a mid-high level fishing, like 65, are really nice and awsome and polite and will one day rule the world. Mmhm. 8-)

Yea most of the people with high mining that I met has been polite.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I also agree that people with high str is VERY arrogant.
