With a very biased opinion, I'd say Australia. This place rocks. Plenty of opportunity and simply stunning geographically. All social systems are above average and bordering on excellent (I haven't studied, this is just from personal experience). The only problem is the school-girl attitude our two rival political parties have. They could do better and progress is halted somewhat because of thier childish bickering. Other than that, Aus rocks your socks. Oh and we rule at sport and beer drinking. :P

Well, I'm perfectly happy in Canada, but, if I had the choice, I'd like to live in Germany :D I love the geography and I dont mind the weather too much either

I think Howard has met his match this year. I predict Rudd to win amongst the childish bickering. If I had the choice though, I wouldn't vote for either. (Hey, not a bad Idea :P ). I'm with Howard on nuclear power although, in my opinion, the country would progress more with Labour State and Federal governments. The educated person would see Howard and Costello are desperate for votes and thus attacking Rudd, although there is still a little bit of a question mark over his head for me.

BMI is a horrible horrible judge. Like I said in the other thread: I am 60 lbs overweight according to BMI. But 40 pounds of that is muscle. That leaves only 20 pounds of fat, which for my BMI is almost insignifigant (and with proper wardrobe choices not even noticable). Hell, I have absolutely no problem walking around without a shirt.

Most politically stable country? I would have to say the United States. The reason? It has to my knowledge the oldest fundamentally unchanged living government in existence. I would give the UK second place in this instead of first merely because although they have an older government it has had a fundamental change to the point the monarch is pretty much the leader in name alone. Since the question was most politically stable I have to go with the US as the answer.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The most economically stable country would either be Switzerland or the US. It is difficult to argue against the past economic successes of these two powerhouses. One is the banking leader of the world. One has the best track record in the world over the past 100-150 years in new businesses and scientific breakthroughs. Granted things may change for either of these countries but as of right now it is hard to argue against either of their track records.

The survey for the British Broadcasting Corp.'s World Service asked more than 28,000 people to rate 12 countries ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Britain, Canada, China, France, India, Iran, Israel, Japan, North Korea, Russia, the United States and Venezuela ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ as having a positive or negative influence on the world.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Israel was viewed negatively by 56 per cent of respondents and positively by 17 per cent; for Iran, the figures were 54 per cent and 18 per cent. The United States had the third-highest negative ranking, with 51 per cent citing it as a bad influence and 30 per cent as a good one. Next was North Korea, which was viewed negatively by 48 per cent and positively by 19 per cent.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Canada had the most positive rating in the survey, with 54 per cent viewing it positively and 14 per cent negatively. It was followed by Japan and France.

Sarcasm please? They're still war torn after the civil war ended in 2002, and they're one of the poorest countries around. And the Liberian Civil War and possible Guinean Civil War aren't helping much either. They only think the RUF is gone, and they've only begun to take away their power. And even though Britain pulled out its troops from Sierra Leone, it hasn't improved much since.

probably the rocky mountians in colorado, the united states. the countries plenty big, has by far the biggest economy in the world, the highest per capita income of any country of real size, and although health care isnt free, its probably the best in the world, as when your paying doctors 400,000$ a year, they better be good.

Hovever the scandinavian countries, Sweeden, Denmark and Norway are supposed to be among the best because they have stable governments, stable economies, pretty decent GNP and capita per citizen ect. aswell as low crime rates making them among the best places to live.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Reasons i wouldnt live in US is the fact that the entire planet despises the current government, which is probably the most stupid and incompetent government the USA has ever seen, but that will change in the next couple of years (no offence to americans of course :wink: )
