Viktorkrum77
and the minimum wage is over $7 usd \ Which is not a good thing in the least bit.better than $1.25 + tips. At least the bulk of your wage is not determined by the people you serve. Yeah, but it's payed for by the tax payers, and this is going to hurt our economy since we really can't afford to raise taxes without taxing the rich more, which we should being do right now if we didn't have a plutocracy for a government system. runemetsa
huh, I was planning to move away from Finland, but if even people from other countries think that it is a good place to live, I better not complain then. Or I guess I just don't appreciate things until I don't have them. 1_man_army
Um, Switzerland is much more powerful than the US when it comes to military technology. Bigger isn't always better, in this case the most technologically advanced is, which is Switzerland. Are you saying Swiss would win in a war because they have better DEFENSES? Only one country could ever even challenge the US, and thats Russia The Vietnamese had a small and badly equipped military but they drove you out of Vietnam, the Afghan's were badly equipped, badly organised and smaller than the Russians but they won. On top of that we (the coalition) are eventually going to be pulled out of Iraq despite being so well equipped. What Im saying is that any army can be beaten regardless of how well equipped they are or how many soldiers they have. He who learns must suffer, and, even in our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God. - Aeschylus (525 BC - 456 BC)
No_OnE
typical stupid americans. So the typical American is now stupid? I agree, those comments are stupid but I think it's just as bad to say that the typical American is stupid. Anyway, my preferred country is America. As for best, I would probably say Finland or some other country in Europe. I know the American government doesn't always make the best choices but it's not all bad. I've grown up in America and I love it. I wouldn't want to move.

BlueLancer
[*:23hm4lrk]Australia [*:23hm4lrk]Svalbard [*:23hm4lrk]New Zealand [*:23hm4lrk]Finland [*:23hm4lrk]Switzerland Pick one of those :) Safest possible environments especially if you want to have a family in the stablest possible countries. They're also very neutral (on the slight exception of Australia), so they are highly unlikely targets for terrorist attacks or wars. The USA is a very good country to live in, considering all the places you could live in, but it's in no way the best. If you're not thinking emotionally that is. USA is a prime target for terrorists and has been attacked by terrorists. It's engaged in wars and has a currency that's not exactly going up in value. It's average or sub-average in educating it's citizens.

pbjdude91
I'd LOVE to live in Germany. So far, I've only heard good things about it, except for maybe it's taxes (50% :ohnoes: , my teacher couldn't remember if it was Denmark or Germany). Third best economy in the world, very nice school system, and I think the culture is great. Essentially, you could call it the capitol of Europe, but all this I've heard from my German teacher so it could all be biased :shame: ... This is my original signature. You can't touch this.
