this weapon, i acctually think it's better than a d scim when training strenght, at least, if you train on a monster with low defence, or better defence against slash than crush...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

the weapon is fairly fast to be a 2handed weapon too ^^

 

 

 

still, whip is better than this weapon, but i can see that pking may change a little... people using dds specs, and this weapon instead of whip.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

but if you loose the anchor, you can get it back right? for the same 50k?

 

 

 

because if it it, then it's very likely to be a wildy weapon, as it's cheaper than a d scim, hits harder, and that most meleers in wildy uses plates (low crush defence). against rangers and mages, then the attack bonus won't to so much, as that defence is already quite low.

Nice fun quest with a hard boss fight and with a chance of a sequel coming up.

 

 

 

The weapon imo isn't better than d scimmy, because it is slower and 2 handed. D scimmy with a rune defender in the other hand gives you better def bonuses and nearly the same att bonuses with str lacking a bit, but the fastness covers it. The new weapon is only good if you know that your enemy has lower crush defence than slash defence (full runes :P).

 

 

 

The weapon is untradeable but I went to sell all my whips just incase.. What if it gets popular..? Whip is still superior to this, but because it is un-pkable some people might want to use it over a whip. Wonder if you can go pick it up when you die with it (like fire cape or fighter torso) or is it self-destructing like barrows gloves..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The antipotion- book might be good with poisons that don't come often, but it won't help me in my kalphite tasks, I'd need to be casting the prayer all the time! #-o Don't know if it drains your prayer points :?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And farmers may be interested in the new allotment farming spot on the new island. And remember that if you lose your charos ring after this quest, you need to get it back from this island, not the fenkerstrain's castle!

The antipoison thing will really help me for getting 99 thieving. Since after each pyramid plunder run I use 1 dose of an antipoison. This will save me tons when going to 99 :D . Can the spell be casted in combat? how long does it take to do? does it take an animation or something so you have to be out of combat? how exactly does it work...

well.. what should i say, scimmy is faster, so it's still better, as the d long isn't that much better in stats, i think anchor could still beat d scim, as it's quite much better than the scim (not in attack though)

MAJOR update! i hope you kept that pray book because if your poisoned and read the book while wearing sardy symbol your CURED of poison, it costs prayer points thou ( took 5 pray points to cure the tribesmen poison)

EDIT: For clarification purposes, the rapier is basically the same as a Rune Scimitar, but used for stabbing (instead of slashing). That's the best one he sells.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So if you can't afford dragon weapons, it's a good stabbing option for 25K.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

EDIT 2: On second thought, outside of a halberd, the 25K rapier is the best stabbing weapon I can find... better than Dragon Dagger, although no special. Not sure what it's useful for, though.
