Today...
Because Florida is such a terrible shit hole? A) Hate the sun. B) We're driving there. From New York. C) Not a moment to myself for what will end up being three weeks (None this week, won't have any time alone until May 11th). The first point makes you a vampire, just so you know. Contrary to what you may think, you won't actually burst into flames the second you go outside (and this coming from someone who risks a sun burn every time they open the front door...in the winter). But then, I actually do enjoy the sun as long as its not too warm, and Florida should still be tolerable in May. The second one is semi valid, but I've been on up to 18 hour car trips or so, and while not particularly fun, its not the end of the world. I recommend either being the person driving, or sleeping. The third is a valid problem. I do like my me time, and I guess you do too. It also helps that every time I've been in Florida, I've spent at least most of the days there in Disney World (and all the others in Universal Studios). So I might be a bit biased about the Florida fun factor :P

Low Wild Rush
Changed your title since this doesn't actually seem to be a lure at all (which is good because posting a luring video on this site, or discussing luring is against the rules).

Future Update Discussions
You stole the words right out of my mind. I saw the some of the pics and now I'm thinking of the family guy sketch where they wander into a Flintstones background (or something like that).

Hello everyone
Heh, if its the blackouts convincing people to join up here, then maybe Jagex should have them more often. Welcome to the forums

Greetings!
Welcome to the forum side of the site, always happy to see a new face here :shades: Also, it might be an auto name, but I really like it. Better than a lot of the names I see people pick for themselves

Today...
From my experience, its always nice to pick a uni that's in a city you aren't going to mind walking around in. Not that Halifax is the safest place in the world (5th highest crime rate in Canada, I think BC has dibs on 1-4), but a huge portion of the student body from various universities go downtown (most bars per student capita in North America WOOOO!) all time. Not one of those places where you go to University and never leave the campus the whole time your there for sure. I don't think that would be any fun.

The Obligatory Ice Hockey Thread
I only just got around to looking at the Stanley cup standings (I really only watch the the final games). So apparently everyone is ass backwards this year, with all the good teams sucking the big wazoo and all the terrible ones kicking everyone's ass (except Toronto [who I cheer for so don't think I'm a hater] who just suck consistently). I'm not even convinced I have heard of the 4 teams that won the western conference (I sure couldn't have named them off the top of my head). At this point, I guess I'm cheering for Philadelphia, because I've liked their symbol/jersey ever since I was a child. Go orange team :D (Also I really want to see the NJ Devils loose even if Philly can't go on to win)

The F2P General Discussion Thread
I think it was the other way. Some sets we're worth considerably less than their component pieces, presumably because Jagex's system is bad at math or something. I think they we're actually getting the average market value wrong (which is amazing because I think that's strait addition, but anyway).

Just realized I wont be one for this. Someone better video it (I'm sure it will be all over youtube). Oh well.

Reveal Confessions, Secrets & Regrets...
Not really what I mean. Would things have worked out better if I hadn't made certain decisions? Probably. But I have still found myself in the exact time and place I needed to be more than once, despite the mistakes I have made. I guess its more sometimes you don't close the doors you think you have, and somtimes you open a door you didn't know was there. Not something to count on, but life doesn't always squash you like you expect.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
I used to have the exact same problem that you did. Pretty much right until calculus my brain seemed to make these logical leaps which would either cause me to skip steps, or to solve problems in totally different ways by thinking it through rather than following a given process (which in practice is a really good way to do it because you make fewer mistakes if you understand what you are doing). Unfortunately, your going to need to accommodate the education system a bit, and how you do that is going to depend on your teacher. One thing you can do is figure out which types of problems are making you prone to skipping steps or solving them the 'wrong' way, and then spend a lunch or two with your math teacher (or maybe some time after school), and walk through those problems with them. Depending on the teacher, you will either be showing them how you solve a particular problem to help them follow your work, or your teacher can point out what it is your not doing to their satisfaction, and help show you what you need to do to get full marks. I did a bit of both with my last highschool math teacher whom I had for a couple years, and she was just fantastic for it. There was some stuff that we needed to prove we could do a certain way, but most of the time all she wanted was the right answer and a logical process that she could follow. A lot of teachers are curious people and more than willing to learn a new way of doing something, and some of them will give you latitude if you can prove that you can do it their way as well.

Reveal Confessions, Secrets & Regrets...
I too have a habit of stumbling through life into weird successes that seem to put me where I need to be. Not saying you should count on fate and drift through life all wishy washy, but sometimes shit really does work out. Soemthing I have been meaning to do for a while now is affirmation statements. The idea behind it (at least my interpretation) is that it helps you focus on where you want to be, and thus you might notice and seize opportunities that might have otherwise passed you by.

HELP!!! Stuck in elemental body room
You need to use a different image host, that one isn't working (gave me my first 403 forbidden error). That or you have those pictures set to private.

Do you have a Collection?
I don't collect so much as horde certain items. I am particularly fond of gems and gold. I think I have a little over 9k gold bars, mostly from my time in the living rock caverns killing things. I sold off maybe a third of my gems back when they we're peaking in value for like 15m, but other than that I just make jewlery from them on an as needed basis. In general I like to horde other things like that so that I don't need to go out and get a herb, or some glass, or whatever, every time I need to make something.

HELP!!! Stuck in elemental body room
As best as I can tell from the picture, your trying to send power to the top of the grid. If that's so, you might be missing the piece that is sitting there on the left half of the grid doing nothing. Can't tell without a different view to see if you have an extra or if that piece is in the wrong spot.

Squeal of Fortune + Buyable Spins
And now its time to get back to RuneScape. If you guys want to discuss Tera Online more, you can take it here. Also, the changed hours would make sense. It would also explain why all the night shift people (unless seven left, but I think she's still around too) are still there. They already have terrible hours.

See the Future...
As a rule of thumb, Jagex normally saves the awesome updates to be paired up with something they know will have people foaming at the mouth. I'm somewhat convinced that they actually hold them in reserve until something they think people will hate rolls along, so that they always have something good ready to go with it. My only issue with giving the location, rather than making it global, is that 2000 people standing in the GE is going to induce levels of server lag that might make the whole thing unobservable anyway. Also, the last time we had a location specific event is was (a) late (at least to the people who waited in the designated spot), and (b) that god forsaken scavenger hunt. And I'm more cynical than pessimistic. I might even normally consider myself an optomist, except where Jagex is concerned. I'll probably show up though, if only because I am still hoping that they will prove me wrong.

What book are you currently reading?
I don't think I have ever seen anyone refer to His Dark Materials by that name before. Everyone around here just calls them the Golden Compass series. Good books though. If you want a dystopia, I just strait up recommend Margaret Atwood, I think she's written mostly dystopia novels (or at least books that aren't happy in general). In particular I would recommend Oryx and Crake.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Re-Write: Unless the reason you and your ex broke up was because one of you got all withdrawn and needed a break, then I wouldn't get back with your ex, especially when you have a new opportunity (assuming you like her) knocking at your door.

The Style Thread
Indifference is a style in its own right as well if you ask me. I find most people try to pick something that will fit with whatever their peer group is, some people do their own thing though, and the rest become hipsters. The best example of doing your own thing I know of was a guy who always wore a top hat. He was also an incredible accordion player with enough skill that I don't think anyone ever gave him shit over it. A brilliant example of how people will let you get away with a lot of stuff if you have mind blowing talent at something (that other people enjoy seeing) to back it up.

The Style Thread
Mmm. I think everyone has their own style, whether they realize it or not. It doesn't have to be a conscious thing, but its determined by what you choose to wear, and what you choose to have available in your closet in the first place. I don't spend a lot of time worrying about sweater or shirt to throw on in the morning, but that's because I'm the one who picked them out in the first place, and they all look good. Sometimes I have something in mind and I go for that though. My closest didn't get stocked by me closing my eyes and running though a clothing store though (though I know people who seem to have done just that, but again its a conscious choice on their part to dress like that).

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
You want #1 on this list of The 9 Most Statistically Terrifying Days On the Calendar. As always with cracked articles, it contains profanity in abundance, so don't have your computer read it out loud to you in front of your parents. And yes, my brain is a rolodex of cracked articles and dilbert comics, so if you ever need either on a particular subject, I can probably hook you up. I like roses, but I want them in blue and green. They might have engineered a blue rose by now, but if I want a green one I still have to stick a white one in coloured water. I remembered I have a wireless keyboard and mouse today, but I have apparently lost the wireless connector. I also have another wireless mouse which is really nice (its also a laser mouse rather than led), but it has no batter cover. I still have the usb key for it though since it fits right inside it. Bit annoyed about that.

Always nice to a see a new name around here. Welcome aboard :)
