No-one trying to decipher Chaos Elemental message this time?
It sounds like the other gods are going to try for some sort of peace. Bandos returns, doesn't like it, and calls up as many of his old "friends" as possible to disrupt the accords. Or, all of the old references could simply mean that we're getting another History quest in which we see the start of the God Wars. I'm hoping it has something to do with the goblin quest line. It may very well! I found this in the postbag, in the letter to Duke Horacio: "That does not mean that we should put weight on the threat of goblinkind, however: relations have certainly improved. The treaties signed with the Dorgeshuun seem to have reduced the hostility of nearby goblins. I have a feeling that there will be further positive changes in the New Year." It appears that we may get the new quest in either December or January, if he's talking about New Years. If he means next year, than it could be the same event as the Elemental predicts.

26th November 2008 - Thanksgiving 2008 Event
It's Thursday of the Turkeys, the newest horror film by Alfred Hitchcock, with the same plot as The Birds. Only this time with a twist! Incapable of flight, these weighty birds crush their prey under their vast weight- what a way to go!

Quest Cape Respected Now
I know how you can get FOUR skill capes for absolutely free. Step one. Make an account. Step two. Do Tutorial Island. Step three. Cross the bridge and go to the chicken farm. Step four. Punch and kick chickens until your strength, attack, Hp, and defense are at level 99. If you bury all the bones, and cook all the carcasses, you'll also have 99 prayer and cooking! See how easy that was?!? And there's my answer to guides. Sure, it sounds easy enough, but when you're fighting the Gelattinoth Mother, wondering why all your attacks are splashing while SHE'S hitting constant thirteens and twelves, the reaction is quite different. Course, with chickens they can hit all of one, so no worries, mate!

Finders, keepers: RuneScape vs. real world ethics
The first one I'd keep. The second I'd keep as well. In both cases, as has been said multiple times, finding the PROPER owner would be nigh impossible. In scenario two, if it was a personal effect or wallet, than, yes, I'd attempt to find the owner. But a 100 bucks floating in the breeze? Hello Wrath of the Lich King.

Dragon Lump Dropping?
This. Drops are way too easy to get. No, I think that might just be the early release boosted drop rate Jagex supposedly uses to get new items into circulation in the first few weeks.

You forgot ONE thing:
-
hey just wanted to let u kno some stuff about youtube and...
Um... you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. And you catch more trolls with human corpses than with chocolate. So, to claim victims, it might be best not to insult them first, ok?

26th November 2008 - While Guthix Sleeps
It was the last part of the quest. They probably was like "Let's hurry it up a few notches!" Anyone remember when in the second Cave Goblin quest you could examine Zanik at one point and it would have a curse? You know- "She's kicking H.A.M. ***!" This one pales in comparison.
-
too many turkeys!?!
Even better! You could put several thousand on ice for next year!
-
too many turkeys!?!
Are any of them in multi combat areas? If so, you could "fix" this glitch using chinchompas. Then they'd be explosively delicious!

god pages
Agreed. But we'll never know- pinning blame on Jagex is like trying to put pants on an old man. You both know he needs them, but he'll just keep dancing around, avoiding them at all costs.

SC: Don't you just love the noobs?
I agree that the point of the game is to kill your opponent it's just that I wish they would actually let you get out of your base instead of camping outside and killing you every few seconds. Once I actually got away only to be chased down by half their team of pkers. That is what really bothers me. Why does that bother you? They kept you from getting points, endangering their teammates, or building up good enough armor\weapons to bother them. You can do the same thing back to them. It's not like they are all powerful; a ranger can take an ancient down with ease. It's like saying 'it really bothers me when people kill me in castle wars when I'm trying to score'. But all you're going to have are your fists- so only melee. No unarmed meleer with no food can even get in RANGE of a skilled ancient mage. I'm talking about before they die. If they kill the ancient the first time, then THEY have the advantage against the helpless previously-ancient. A single pickpocket can take out an ancient mage easily; but like any other combat style, they decimate the no armor\no food\no weapon players that come out of the spawn room. A single pickpocket CAN but often doesn't. Carrying food or clay in your inventory reduces the chance of runes being taken as everything has an equal chance to be grabbed.

But unlike party hats, dragon armor is intended to be used in combat. The reason why it was so expensive originally was that it WAS the best in game. But as time went on, other armor was released, better and often more easily obtained. Dragon armor is dropped from powerful monsters meant for groups. Barrows is dropped by relatively powerful monsters meant to be soloed. See where they went wrong? Dragon armor, unlike Party Hats, SHOULD be affordable to those with level 60 defense. That was what it was intended for.

So it's got the same amount of damage per spec bar as the dragon dagger? And is five times, or more, expensive than it's predessesor andi s two handed? I forget- can claws be poisoned? If not, I don't see this replacing the DDS anytime soon.

RUNE DEFENDER

I can see it now: G'day mates! We know ya brave explorers love ta explore the outback, but watch out! In the next week you'll have ta watch out for a beaut of a monster: the Drop-Bear. I'm getting the same feeling from SC. Two times today the timer and score froze. Not just for me, but for everyone else. I'm in the same boat with you- I want some testing.

As we all know, the long awaited dragon plate was released today as a reward from While Guthix Sleeps. However, to attain it, one requires level 99 smithing and the three broken pieces that make up the armor, hypothetically dropped by tormented demons. Or, alternatively, one could purchase it for 30 mil on the GE or junk trade it for vastly more. But WHY, WHY in the name of whatever chosen deity you believe in, did Jagex release a cruddy piece of level 60 armor in this manner?!? It takes FAR less cash to get any Barrows set, superior to dragon in defence stats as well as providing a set bonus. You could buy two of the four godswords for 4-12 million less. Heck, you could buy full BANDOS and still have eight million left over. This ensures that no one will EVER use this platebody for ANYTHING other than a display of wealth. Oh, sure, you might argue that given that this gives players what they've wanted for years, it is right and proper for plate to be released through such a difficult quest. But all I see is a broken balance. No game, whatever it is, should force a lower leveled armor to be completely out of reach of any who would actually use it for, you know, training. Heck, ALL dragon armor, aside from the boots, are skewed. Compared to the weapons, the most expensive of which is a paltry two hundred thousand, bar the largely useless two hander, the armor is ludicrously expensive. Heck, the only piece that's actually worth what it costs is the medium helm and that's only because of years of increased supply and the arrival of the full helm. But all I'm doing is fuming in the ear of a deaf giant. Jagex decided this long ago with the release of the first dragon piece and have simply seen it out to the end. They've made our bed and so we're forced to sleep in it. With fewer players than have 99 cooking, fletching, and firemaking COMBINED being the only one's with access to the monsters that drop this new armor, and considering the armor is split in three requiring the subtle touch of a level 99 smith to reacquaint them, prices shall not fall in a dragonkin's age. In fact, they'll probably rise for the next few months, simply given the rarity and demand. But hey, what can ya do? Edit: Added to the fact that the dragon chunks are gonna be rare drops, it appears tormented demons are going to be extremely difficult to solo.

Fountain Glitch...?
It once happened to the medium fountain in my poh  Lucky... the only glitch I get is the timer and score freezing in Stealing Creation.

SC: Don't you just love the noobs?
This is true. What we have here is a design flaw by Jagex. It is not the players responsibility to pull punches to be "fair" but Jagex's to balance the game so that this is either reduced or removed. And, truth be told, I despise them too.
