Magic Vs Melee
But, usually, they'll have some dragonhide to slap on. Cheap, effective, and does not reduce melee stats. True, they'll still be frozen, but with protect item, even if they started it, they won't lose their Godsword. If you die, you'll lose every one of your runes.

Random Events to be Changed/Removed soon?
Doesn't actually mean it'll happen this month, though I hope it will. Remember the Wise Old Man and his map for getting into Priffindas? Or the Phoenix? Though it would please the bast majority of players, Jagex appears to prefer creating new content to fixing old.

Rant on the uselessness of broom in f2p
Though I'm P2P, I too dislike the broom. Given that the event and PvP were the only two updates this month, and that I have no reason to use one and the other I found lacking, I feel like a dissatisfied customer.

a Second Tier Consumption Skill
This is a good idea. Plus, make the created items, for the most part, consumables. Another idea for a skill might be reinforcing- using bars to reinforce armor for a limited period of time. Some could be [bleep]es. Some could just be extra armor. Of course, that would probably be under Smithing's jurisdiction...

The mysterious farming poll
Farming's still a meh kinda skill for me. And old news is ancient. Like mesozoic.

Herring+tree= we all know, herring+****= a new find!

Player Moderators: Are They Really Worthy?
Read that please. You seem to have a bit of a God complex. You guys are not all that important; the game would not fall apart in any way or form. Sure, you'd get more spammers and cursers, but that would be a minor annoyance less than, say, randoms. Considering Jagex's customer support reputation, I don't see them closely monitoring players for modship. Many who say this, ironically, also say that their lousy customer support stems from the number of customers and reports they have to do. But, though there are fewer players, it's still darn hard to really monitor them. The only thing they CAN judge by is the number of pertinent abuse reports and the age/stats of the account. But the most harmful byproduct of mods are the wannabes. Often, they make reports for something that is CLEARLY within the rules. People who say Youtube are reported despite the fact they are allowed to say it and, due to the faulty customer support, incur blackmarks or punishment. Sometimes the wannabes even bait players with the intent of getting them to say something against the rules. Indeed, any benefit mods bring is, I believe, mitigated by the wannabes.

Armadyl Guardian
I've been on for about an hour and done both the new miniquests... I haven't had it yet. I just got it! Was about to say I didn't, but I did! This plus the rumble could very well be hints at the new quest to rule them all!

Randoms on PVP
You jest, surely, good sirrah! The Randoms happen at least once every hour for most!
-
udpate frequency
You know, I never thought about this. It is very true. But it would appear that Jagex really wants to become like other games- look at their recent focus on combat updates, for example.

Randoms on PVP
Or perhaps they could remove them like they promised months ago? That would be far far far more satisfactory.

STUPID PVP!
Guys, cut him some slack! He was VENTING! He did not mean to say that the world itself upset him, but the events did. He's over it now, and feels better. Mission Complete! Oh, and I think teleport areas should be safe zones just so you don't have people camping in the area.

While they mentioned two new minigames in the last Behind The Scenes they didn't say they would both be out next month, just that they are "coming soon". I predict one of the them be out next month, and the other maybe the month after. if what you say is true and oct, nov and dec give us pvp, combat minigame and combat minigame. that means for players like me who dont like combat minigames get a possible 3 useful updates in 3 months whereas before we would have got a possible 12. i havent pvped yet and it doesnt appeal, neither do combat minigames maybe i am jumping the gun, im not going to threaten to quit or attempt to start a riot, but at the moment i prefered the old system. and i do appreciate the updates i get at the moment for $5 Shock horror you don't get 12 possible updates!!!!!! New flash nor do the rest of us! Be thankfully you get even 1 update a month. When rs first began we used to wait a month or more between updates and even then they were only things like Prince Ali Rescue or mithril armour. And if you simply call them combat minigames you clearly you have no read what we have been told about them. One is a RTS where you control units and squadrons, sort of combat sure but definitely nothing like current combat in-game as this will essentially be npc vs npc but we control the npcs. One is even to bring pkers/fighters and skillers together as it required skill to harvets resources and make supplies that the fighters then use to to attack and destroy the enemy, so even if you DONT like combat this game has a role for skillers. You miss the point of his argument- those months won't offer him a thing. He may loathe RTS with an undying passion- I have a friend who feels that way. Plus, I don't think the RTS mini game is gonna have anything better than Starcraft. The second one sounds interesting, but it may fail. The concept is complex and involves a great amount of teamwork, but, as we've seen in Barbarian Assault, Runescapers are about as helpful and gregarious as an adult male grizzly with a toothache. So, if those months offer him nothing, will he really have much of an incentive to pay? Assuming, of course, that he mostly plays for the updates, like many maxed or close to maxed players.

Randoms on PVP
You have to be level 20+ to be on a pvp world. And people like me kill skillers. Randoms are annoying... A guy was at 1 hp and he got teleported away by a random -.- It was a joke. Mocking Jagex's faulty logic.

Battle begins for online role players (FT.com)
But WoW has over 9 million subscribers world wide! Here it only mentions the 3.5 millions U.S. gamers. It says Runescape has 4.5 million players, but many of them come from Britain. Some come from Germany. And of that 4.5 mil only about 1-1.5 are paying members. Remember: They are not in possession of all the facts.

Randoms on PVP
Why? Because, my friend, level 3 autoers are OBVIOUSLY going to be harvesting resources on these worlds. That and they're paranoid and sadistic.

Lasting Value of F2P PVP
 read the post for once in ur life. the main problem is that f2pers cant hit high, thus they cant ko. every battle ends in someone going to safe spot or teleport. another thing is profit. solution 1) remove teleport during combat 2) give f2p better equipment so they can hit harder. alternative 1 3) make few additions to the skills to make them equal and ko able alternative 2 4) profit with avoiding rwt could be ... (thats where the trouble is) f2p is not going so well. and jagex wont do anything about cuz we dont pay... I did read the post. You can fix the problem yourself, Jagex doesn't need to do anything. Fork out the $5 bucks, if you can pay for the internet you can pay that. Excuse me, but what happens in F2P does NOT stay in F2P. An unbalanced triangle negatively affects the mindset of new players and makes the game less attractive. Plus, those who fish for swordfish and lobsters on members will find those fish harder to sell if F2P PvP is poor. See? It DOESN'T affect just F2P. Members gets a bit of backlash too.

I prefer the old way. In the new method, everything is hit or miss. See, with only one big update, if it's not something you enjoy, there goes your whole month! Take this month's big update. PvP worlds are meant for PKers and no skillers. True, some skillers skill on PvP worlds, but for most, with no extra incentive aside from empty spawns, the risk outweighs the reward. And two more things have me worried. I'm afraid that if they keep putting up big updates they'll either a. have a creative burn out or b. will start calling medium updates "big" when they realize they can not put up big updates every month.

The common courtesy of hopping.
I always hop if others are there. It's simpler than fighting it out for each and every monster. If, however, I'm first or the number of people is reasonably low, I will not hop.

Pvp world interest already dieing out
Care to explain why fish and super potions are falling? With the exception of tuna.

Slayer Sucks
No offense if I'm wrong, but it seems a little suspicious that you started an account, today, on this site for the specific purpose of saying that your records ARE correct.

Um... maybe they attacked you over and over again just because they didn't like you?

A new slew of Jagex hatemail
Correction: If the majority of feedback, based on conjecture, rumor, and theory, and NOT on the actual first-hand experience of the player ranting is negative, then no, Jagex did nothing wrong. The update isn't going to be "understood" in a matter of an hour; you have to go out there to see what really happens with some wild stuff. Oh, and I doubt that the economy will be hurt by a little flux in supply/demand; more or less, it'd make it stronger. I mean, have you LOOKED at shark prices lately? But looking at multiple food items, lobsters, tuna, sharks, all are decreasing in price. I know that Swordfish have been doing this for several days now. Doing a quick search, super potions are plummeting. Does this look like a successful update? Sure, this could be caused by high spirits abating, but, if this turns out to be unprofitable, many players will only PK occasionally, or even just go to BH where kills assure good loot.

A new slew of Jagex hatemail
If the majority of feedback is negative, than, yes, Jagex DID do something wrong. The thing that matters about this update is not how you or skillers feel, but how those who enjoy PvP feel. Furthermore, if this continues, the supplies that bounced back up will plummet once more, hurting the economy.

Circus Performance
Aye, but the method used for getting ringmaster minimizes exp. If you do it correctly, you end up with only the exp from the 99 event. Maybe with the 90 event as well.
