  1. Well the only *major* bugs that I saw was people getting 1 hit by thieving traps, and the monster bug. Both of those bugs were only in the game roughly 30-40 minutes before they were patched. Even with every world completely full, Sigils and GWD items are all so rare drop percentages, frankly very few if any were dropped. If any were dropped they would be about the same rate as anyone normally boss hunting would get them. Good teams can camp hours at most bosses, so in all honesty 40 minutes wasn't enough to do anything major, thus no bans.
  2. I have a couple points, so I'll reply in seperate sections. Agility was never released in purpose to give members advantage in F2P PvP, it was just a side factor nonbody had a problem with because it wasnt a huge deal. 1) Yes, it wasnt a big deal because its something people accepted. It was like the pathfinder update, not something that *had* to change, but something that so SOOO much better now that it is changed. 2) Yes, bird scrolls and energy potions are more effective than resting because they are supposed to be. Jagex did a good job balancing things like potions and scrolls so they would not be overpowered by the rest option. If rest was more powerful than scrolls/potions then it would make them pretty much useless. They didnt want that, so scrolls and potions abviously stay more effective. Ya, taking it out of F2P made it fair for everyone. Something they should of done a long time ago. If you are a F2P server you should have ALL of the same limitations as F2P. And run energy drains almost exactly the same as it did before. I tested it several times, it does not drain any slower/faster than it previously did. Not enough change to notice at least. But it does restore 2x-3x+ faster than the old rate. Not runied at all, just improved and balanced. Despite what you say, Jagex did a great job with the content in this update.
  3. Beware as they can do LIVE updates without restarting the servers. So if you are in dangerous area, things can rapidly change without expecting it. Take a word of caution, I think its best just to sit back and let them fix things before you go out and do anything. It sounds like a ghost bug. A code within the new coding that basically changes the way everything in the entire games code works.
  4. By the looks of that picture above, and the rate Zil hits, the first person to solo it in a room that size PERIOD, gets a cookie. :?
  5. I am SOOO glad I talked myself into buying my SGS 2 days ago. I imagine it will be much harder to solo now. Aside from the running/eating bug, I think this update was completly awsome!!
  6. There are many solutions Jagex could do, I think they are just testing all of their solutions to see which one leaves the least impact on the majority of the community. Any way you put it, SOMEONE is going to have to make a sacrifice. Its just how it is. Some solutions are plausible though. Letting you instant buy things 10% over mid price, and letting you instant sell things 10% under mid price is certainly one solution to prevent buyouts, as items are always in stock. But then you bring in issues where the price still changes out of control. Another option is increasing the amount of time it takes G.E. to change price. Perhaps G.E. only changes price once a week. This would really cut out on merchant clans, because it turns everything into long investment merchanting. Not to mention this option leaves the smallest impact on the average Joe. The final, last resort, option is fixing prices. I dont see this happening though unless items start getting locked up and stuck in price ranges nobody buys from. In all honesty, reducing the frequency G.E. updates is really the biggest way to fix the problem with the smallest impact. But I agree Jagex needs to set a stance, post an announcement on the main page, and stick with it from there to solve the problem. If people don't realize its wrong, they wont stop anytime soon.
  7. Ty =] I started out smelting/smithing iron knives, which makes a nice profit, but got tired of that really fast. Maybe only make 150k or so of them. From there I started making Addy arrow tips which don't lose to much, and sell pretty easily. I did arrow tips until level 98 which I then decided to make Addy plates to 99 for pure speed. Ironically the plates don't lose all that much more than the arrow tips since people buy them to alch.
  8. super combat potions super range potions super mage potions and basing the magic max hit on the level not the spell. And Super+ and Super++ Potions that boost the same, but last double and tripple the time length. But yes, there are a large number of players with lots of money who have, and are willing to fork over a lot of money to get 99 skills such as Herblore. Not to mention the XP differences between the 2 skills. It takes over an hour to grow a patch which could yield 5-26 herbs. With herblore you mix those same 5-26 herbs in under a minute. Because of this, herbs are higher priced since they take longer to make than they do to be used.
  9. SK IS ALLOWED, and the mod simply has no idea what they are talking about, Just a mis-communication. Here is proof in Runescape's own rules: Support > Other > Fansites > Section 8. Therefore, If the 3rd party client does not promote INGAME user advantage, then it is not against the rules. SK has nice features such as IRC and screenshots, which are advantages, but not INGAME advantages, therefore not against the rules. Unless MMG comes out when a statement on the main page saying SK is against the rules, we can assume its perfectly legal. EDIT: Jagex will not promote SK however. If someone asks if a 3rd Party Client is against the rules, Jagex will say yes, even if its not specifically illegal. This is simply because they are against all 3rd party Clients regardless.
  10. I don't wanna go all wannabe mod on you, but if you want to try and troll a specific individual, at least do it in PM so you don't embarrass yourself. Anyways, I get the feeling like alot of merchants are heading to smaller items rather than the larger ones, since many of them are crashing.
  11. ME2  Cant wait to do the quest!
  12. It's cause of Price Manipulator Clans. Making progress.
  13. The only reason I can see for the ditch still being in use, is preventing people from following someone, and them leading you into the wilderness. Or perhaps mis-clicking on your minimap and accidentally running into the wilderness while standing outside it selling venges/items. But, this could also be achieved in other ways while removing the ditch, such as making you stop moving once you reach the "invisible wilderness barrier". All in all, it should be removed, as it really provides no use or real protection anymore. But I think the real reason they have not removed it yet is simply, they don't want to waste time removing it when it "might" provide some sort of protection for BH luring/mis-click.
  14. First of all, I am not asking specifically for 95+. Anything above Abyssal Demons would suffice. I'm not asking for much - just trying to compromise. :) So then it makes no sense to make the Summoning Skill cape until a large amount of people reach 99? What about construction? Jagex should always have something for players to look forward to. That is the most rational "business" solution. Even though there are already monsters 1-90, and nothing that is 91-99... it is more rational to distribute them evenly? Ehh, my goal was 99, but I quit RS. In the grand scheme of things, 4/13 isn't that much. Yes, they should get new meat if there is enough to go around, but the others haven't even got their first servings yet. I think your focusing to much on the levels. The only incentive a high level monster gives is the incentive to kill something exclusive. Players who really enjoy the slayer skill do not need an incentive to train slayer, as they already enjoy the skill. Because they enjoy it, they dont need anything (1-99) to keep them going. That being said, someone who trains slayer not for levels, but for enjoyment, would be happy for any level slayer creature, as it gives them some variety on their road to 99. I'm not saying there should not be a high level slayer monster. I'm saying you should be respectful for Jagex's choice in their order to bring out slayer monsters. They have said before there is alot going on behind the scenes we cant see, so their reasoning for some things is not always clear. But in the mean time, I encourage you to enjoy this slayer creature as it is something you can kill and enjoy. Its not about the level, its about finally getting something new to kill hundreds of times on your way to 99.
  15. Prices arn't all based on slayer level. Just because something requires 95 slayer to kill does not guartee its drop will stay high. If you look at Cave horrors (58 Slayer), their special drop is more than 5 times the ammout of Gargs (75 Slayer), or 10 times the ammout of Nechs (80 Slayer). Price is more on how commonly the monster drops it, and how useful the drop is. Im hopping this monster is more difficult than waterfiends and the special attack will make it uncampable. This alone would keep them from being busy all the time. The last thing we need is a Abyssal Demon type monster at 78 slayer.
  16. From my personal experiences, while the D-long and D-mace CAN hit hard, they are not very consistent. When you roll 0's with them, it can really hurt. DDS on the other hand is different because it deals twice as many attacks for your special bar. Sure they typically are not high, but from my perspective hitting 0-12 is better than taking a chance hitting 0's with the Mace or Long. As far as KO ability, the Long and Mace have more of this as they do hit harder and can catch your opponent off guard if your lucky. But because they are typically not consistent, DDS is a better option simply because with double the chances for hits. You know you are likely to hit at least something rather than nothing, which usually outweighs the chances of high hits the other two weapons have.
  17. Also some other drops. Funny because if you look at the kill count, you can see the helm drops were almost back to back. [hide=Other Drops] [/hide]
  18. The best way to explain it is; Think of mining like the exact reverse of chopping down a tree while WC'ing. Every "game tick" you swing at the rock, you have a chance to mine it. This chance is based on your current mining level and a few outside factors. This is why sometimes it only takes one "tick" to mine a rock and sometimes takes many. Sometimes a player with a lower level will win many times in a row due to their "ticks" being less than yours. This could go on for a long time, but on an overall average of thousands of swings, the player with the higher level is more likley to get more rocks. Hope that clears some things up.
  19. The point was that you are mad because its 78 and not 95? Sorry but you seam to be forgetting that 95 slayer'ers can also kill this thing too. Its not exclusive to where only 90- can kill it. That being said, 78 or 95, your getting a new slayer monster to add variety to your tasks on your way to 99. We know very little about the monster. It could turn out to be one of the best tasks you can get, similar to waterfiends, or very fast xp like bloodvelds. It could have a mage drop worth 200k+ and be awesome for overall drops. We know very little about this monster, so saying "its 78 so its going to be worthless" is not a valid argument. Sure there may be some campers when it comes out, but regardless if it was 95 or 78, people are going to camp it when it comes out anyways. Like all other monsters, as time passes people will clear out. Especially if the special attack makes it un-campable. I agree that 90+ monster will be needed in the future, but you are getting a new slayer creature to add variety to your tasks. If you have the level to kill it, why does it matter what slayer level it is?
  20. @ above I suggest you read this thread: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=770272 You might find it provides some insight on some things you said which are not exactly true.
  21. Can you kill her? With a team you certainly have a possibility to. Will you be able to kill her easily? Doubtful. KQ has a thing about it where she can spit out 20-30's quite rapidly and accurately at times, and don't forget she uses "prayer" to boost her range/mage or melee defenses depending on what stage she is on. All in all, if you are killing her just for fun, or to prove you can, I would say you could pull it off. But I would not look for easy kills or profit here, as even with maxed stats she can be quite deadly. She may only be 333 combat, but she is still one of the most deadly bosses in the game. So take caution.
  22. A "zerker pure" is someone who gets 45 defense to wear a bezerker helm, for strength bonuses. Back in the day, this type of pure was commonly called this because your choices of helm defense were either Rune Full Helm at 40 defense, or Berserker/Warrior helm at 45 Defense.
