on the rs wiki page it says that the HAM member hinted that officers will not believe low rank officers if you tried to reveal that he is HAM. Perhaps that hints that if you can get a really high rank, you can expose him? Maybe a new miniquest once you get a high rank?

Is there any point of having your entire army attack one person? from what I've seen, when you pile an enemy they only take a max of 2 hits at a time.

I'm gaining points by setting cannons on my own troops, light ones then rushing others, dieng in less than 2-3 mins getting 10k points per round :P How does that tactic work? Do you get extra points from cannoning your own troops? And wouldn't you just be better off rushing another team with a full army and doing as much damage as possible before death? I'm not entirely sure since I just started playing.

I agree, defense is rather worthless nowadays. At 112 combat and 85 defense, my defense is usually a bit higher than the diehard pkers who like to keep their attack and str up at the sacrifice of defense. When I fight in veracs in pvp against my target (usually in rune with whip and rune defender), I find that the only reason my hits are accurate is due to verac's set effect. As for them, they hit way more often on me because their attack and strength eat right through my high defense bonuses and they hit faster with whip. Defense, like attack, are almost totally centered on the BONUS of armor rather than the level itself. High defense bonus is usually better than maxed defense with mediocre armor. High attack bonus is usually better than maxed attack with a decent weapon. That's why pvp armors are so useful because of their incredibly attack and defense bonuses. You don't need insanely high levels in attack and defense to hit and tank well with them.

So, please correct me, and point me to the area of the KB that shows that snare does any damage at all? O.K., the guy keeps you from tele'ing, then what, annoys you to red bar by snaring you.....I'm not really getting it. No, it goes like... So... Teleblock - Snare - Fire wave (or whatever spell it is that does damage - Snare - Fire wave - Snare - Fire wave - Snare - Fire wave.. etc. etc.. What the hell? Where do you pk? In all the time i've spent in pvp there are incredibly few fire wave pkers. 90% of all mages on the normal spellbook will entangle you, teleblock, then switch to melee or range because it does far more damage than fire wave. You obviously have not pked enough; most mages don't even mage 100% of the time unless they're in a clan. Mage is actually UNDERPOWERED in my book. Unless you're one of those pkers who kills people who train slayer or combat skills in obscure parts of pvp where being pjed is far less common, mages are NOT overpowered in normal hotspot fights because the chance of being pjed is great when farcasting, and fighting close up is suicide against a meleer, and getting a finishing hit is rather hard considering that mage's max is a little above 30.

"Balanced attacks"? worthless. The only way to overtake the enemy in soul wars is by a tremendous show of force all at once. Having 2 or 3 people fighting and dying in a vain attempt to capture a graveyard is worthless, it will just keep the graveyard at a standstill. I can't tell you how many games I've see where the entire tide of the battle is changed because of a successful rush. Rushing the obby might not help just because 80% of both teams are usually fighting there anyways, but rushing graveyards is different because the enemies are often unprepared and disorganized. A huge surge of force suddennly dropped onto their little graveyard is a great way to conquer whatever land they own. Small individual attacks don't gain any ground. THEY are the ones that are wasting time and attack force that could be more useful on the obelisk or avatars.

I think having these "police" is a good thing. They prevent people who sit there getting ep doing absolutely nothing. Nobody said you were immune to being pked while getting ep just because you're a real pker.

I'm Catholic so if I had my way every school would be strictly abstinence only and the media would stop pressuring kids to have early love and focus on having a good life. For everyone who is saying "it will happen eventually, kids need to be prepared" the problem is that society is forcing these kids to react to sexual advances just because it is deemed ok by their friends, TV, and everything else out there. Nearly everything Catholicism preaches goes against the encouragement of indulgences in this world, and as such everyone thinks we're bat[cabbage] insane. I don't like conforming to society's ideals just because everyone is constantly moving to contradicting beliefs of age-old doctrines. That being said, our views would probably never be satisfied in this world because all of society hates Catholicism. So of course, simply switching all of sudden to "abstinance-only" wouldn't do anything in a society where it's already been well established that sex is good and will happen eventually. The only way I'd get our view to be supported by the world is if somehow all of society decided that sex should be left strictly within marriage and EVERYONE believed that abstinence was the best way of birth control. Unfortunatly few people outside of any religion believe so and thus would never move to educate their children that way. As for me, I'm going to wait till marriage if I ever get married and if I had kids, I would also make sure they were convinced that abstinence was the only way. I and whatever family I might have in the future are NOT going to conform to a constantly shifting society where the only way for a child to live a non-controversial life is to follow the mainstream. For the most part, that's how my religion has always been.

Indeed, d claws are on the rise again thanks to clever merchants taking advantage of the panic caused by either other moderately clever price manipulators or panicking doomsayers of runescape. I want to buy claws to help defend myself when I'm skilling in pvp (which is rather frequent) but now I'm never sure when the good time is to get a good deal.

How closely related are Spanish and Portuguese? I'm learning some Spanish and I can make out a few words that are the same in both languages in the text, and apparently conjucations of verbs are similar. I'm hoping that I can use my very limited 1st year knowledge of Spanish to help me get around in Brazillian servers...

Wait... are we making a big deal out of an update that Jagex said not to make a big deal about...? #-o I mean, they said it won't even be noticeable and I doubt that message can be taken in any double meanings, unless you think they will release an invisible music cape. I remember when Mod MMG mentioned something alongs the lines about an update being perhaps a "red herring" that diverts attention from bigger plans, and instantly several threads on RSOF screamed "we will be able to fish red herrings!" I think that when Jagex tells you specifically that something wiill be released almost unnoticedly, we should actually try to take it as perhaps truth. That doesn't reason out all these other predictions, but I wouldn't be surprised if the update was literally unnoticeable.

^^Then don't blame the mods for your laziness. Anyway, I've never met Mod Sophie so I really don't care that she's gone. Mods probably come and go regularly, she was one of the few to make a little public party out of it. And as has already been said, level 1 mods have been seen before.

I think Zierro really nailed it well, but my thinking to sort of add to this response is that God lives in eternity. Time is irrelevant in eternity, everything happens at once rather than having a sequence. Of course I have no proof of this, it's just my way of thinking. So while God had everything happen at once, he also needed some way to chronologize (is that a word?) the events, perhaps as Zierro said to give humans a sense of progress at how far we've come, and all the more reason for us to praise Him for creating such a beautiful and complex history of the universe. And besides, just because we don't have a 100% clear answer for God's motives, that doesn't mean intelligent design is flawed. Part of faith is attempting to believe God's motives are true rather than always trying to bring it in human terms.

I'm 15 and rather large (not all fat, I'm just big). I'm not very good with weightlifting. I can bench a pathetic 85lbs leg press a meager 200lbs. Been doing volleyball summer workouts but of course volleyball isn't nearly as intense as, say, football so our workouts are a lot less tough.

Westboro Baptist church is its own little world of insanity, I wouldn't take them as a representative of baptist religion as a whole. Those guys are freaks and I wouldn't lose sleep if they all suddenly died. I'm Catholic, one of the most controversial religions around here when it comes to homosexuality tolerance. I don't believe homosexuality is morally right. I'm not sure if they're going to burn in hell or not, but I wouldn't lose sleep if they did. I don't hate gay people; I just don't agree with them. But as a Catholics we also believe that no one should be persecuted for any reason unless they have persecuted others without remorse. Have gay people been crusading against humanity? No, so why crusade against them? I may not agree with their sexual orientation, but that doesn't mean I'm going to join one of those "god hates gays" groups that protests everywhere on every occasion, just like WBC is. I'm not going to force my beliefs on anyone either. There are gay people at my school. I don't usually talk to them simply because I don't know them well, not because I think they're the children of satan. If they asked me if I supported homosexuality, I'd say no and end the discussion. I wouldn't try to convert them like other sects would, I wouldn't try to host an intervention or exorcism for them, and I certainly wouldn't beat them up or kill them like more extreme people would do. I'd just go on living my own life. If a state legalizes gay marriage I wouldn't care unless the Church told me otherwise to protest. Gay people haven't done anything to me, so I don't need to interfere. Right now the Church isn't too concerned about ending homosexuality, the real issue is abortion and things that affect more than one person's life. Let the gays be gays and I won't get involved with them them unless they get involved in my life.

The only reason i'm unhappy that gold farming was stopped was because I used to love to pk them at green drags when all wildy was pvp. I have no sympathy for the companies although I do feel sad that the citizens are out of a job. But thay doesn't mean i was reluctant to pk them. On the contrary, I loved the thrill of the hunt on those poor people at green drags, it was even more fun when they begged me in broken english to stop. I sound kind of heartless but hey, there's nothing wrong with pking someone in any situation. I'm not a villian.

What? Why do we need a dragon crossbow? Rangers can hit pretty darn well with the rune crossbow even on fully armored warriors with hits that can go above 50. Why power up an already powerful side of the combat triangle?

Obviously the price checker in all the ghost pics. The OP in RSOF mentioned he saw one walking into the actual bank area. I'd like to see that before I conclude that there is anything. And since fog only appears in HD and to my knowledge there have been no sightings in low detail, I'm thinking it's all just a panic over the fog in the distance of the ge. I'll keep my eye out nevertheless in the GE since I always play low detail.

Could be like those sightings of monsters by farming patches before summoning was released. Did anyone ever find out if those monsters had any correllation to summoning? I'm thinking that if these sightings are real, it might have to do with the trapdoor under the GE and lead into a new huge quest (not the dwarf one).

This has already been discussed before I believe (one of the quotes in hide tags in my sig are from previous thread) but I guess there can never be too many threads that question the priorities and hypocricies of PETA. Rather than putting that money to use to help the pets in their care, they toss it to advertisements in hopes that they can get other people to do what they neglected to do.

Because when you give a moron the ability to be anonymous on the internet, they can do whatever the hell they want without being caught. I mean, places like 4chan and RSOF and other common troll/idiot locations would be totally different if whenever you posted something your full name, location, contact information, and life history would be automatically added to the post. THEN people would be reluctant to troll... maybe. And this is sort of related, yesterday I was lurking around 4chan and someone who was angry at his girlfriend for cheating put up her contact info on /b/ hoping his personal army would make her miserable. Instead they contacted her, got HIS information, and ruined his life instead. Someone even got into his facebook. So although there arent always morals on the internet, there is karma.

Glad to see that the project hasnt been cancelled, but I think this blog is more a "cover-your-[wagon]-from-criticism" page rather than an actual blog. Basically theyre saying not to expect the best and to appreciate other aspects of the new minigame other than the content itself because they are trying new techniques. Interesting tactic, I wonder if it will prevent people from criticizing the game at all.
