21st July 2009 - The Curse of Arrav (and Patch Notes)
OMG YES. Please tell me this applies to the wildy course, I can FINALLY train agility with my brawlers there without having to spam click the pipe whenever there's a large group trying to get in as well. It might also save my life if a pker comes; I don't like waiting for another player to pass through a tube when I'm at half hp getting rune arrows inserted into my [wagon] from a welfare rangers.

New GWD Boss Hint?
Doesn't the secret door have a symbol of each god involved in the war on it? Why, then, would the champion of a god who was not even in the god wars or symbolized on the door be behind it? I don't bother much with runescape lores and histories and all, but I don't think things add up. Maybe I'm just stupid, correct me if you have anything that contradicts me. I actually hope I'm wrong, I'd much enjoy fighting a desert champion in an icy arena and uniting the desert quests with the god wars. It would be quite interesting.

23 July 2009 Brazilian worlds (Runescape in Portuguese)
Well I'm learning Spanish so I'm still awaiting Spanish servers which would be the first foreign servers I could remotely understand. I'm not sure how close Spanish is related to Portuguese. I read some Portuguese posts on the Brazil page and I can understand a few odd words here and there that are the same or very similar to Spanish words. If I'm not mistaken, verbs conjugate the same in both languages which is a very useful connection for me. Maybe I'll actually know how to get around a little bit in the Brazilian servers.

Why slayer?
I have 85 slayer after 2 years of on-and-off slaying. Although it takes a long time to train, I love to train it mainly because I can't work up the motivation to train anything else. I find combat fun, and the good thing about slaying is that there's only two main ways to train it: SC/lamps (which i occasionally do to take a break from killing monsters and instead killing people while getting exp for slayer) and completing tasks. Other skills have already had their methods of 0-99 paved for them by thousands of other players. At a certain level, repeat a certain action 500 times with bought supplies and gain a level. When you reach another certain level, repeat a certain action 800 times to gain several levels, but this time you must use higher level objects (e.g. yew instead of maple). Slayer is different. You can't buy all the materials and autotrain it to 99, you have to do a bunch of different methods to kill the various monsters. It's a lot more random, and imo more fun.

"If you're ever in ___, you absolutely HAVE to ___ ___!"
If you're ever in Chicago, you absolutely HAVE to... well, is there anything to say about Chicago that's never been said? I live in a tiny suburb of Chicago and downtown never fails to amuse me. The good suburbs of Chicago like the one I live in have won high awards and renown for being in the top places to live and having high quality facilities (my local library is in the top 3 in the nation, : ). The crappy ones are full of violence and drug dealing. I suppose if you're ever in Chicago, just stay in downtown Chicago because you never know what you're gonna get from its suburbs...

[Devblog] Volunteer Moderators + Introduction
I'm not sure if this would lead to an increase in wbm'ing or a decrease. On one hand, those report-happy players might slow down since they realzie its not as worthwhile. But then again, they still have nothing to lose by reporting everything they see, and now there's more of an incentive to do so because of the huge mod recruitment drive. Well its not as if they're paying solely to moderate the community. They still get to play the gamr normally which is what they're paying for, and they've been given the priviledge of a higher status in the community.

17th July 2009 - Bounty Worlds (+1 Item)
Yeah I was in a godsword one iteming clan (for the lulz) and we discovered that in fact you can get ep and get drops with just a godsword. It's a huge oversight by Jagex and now I'm nervous to return to those worlds because for all I know another glitch could make me lose my godsword.

Brawlers ---- Now Useless.
Well I think the idea of brawlers wasn't just to reward pkers but to form a tighter connection between combat and skilling. Brawlers give pkers more players to target other than just fellow pkers and it gives regular players more incentive to join the pvp fray. The skillers risk their lives and maybe some money in order for faster skilling exp, and perhaps will decide to use their ep to get involved in pvp. It sort of forms connections between pvp and skillers that is greater than before.

DDOSING Serious Issue?
I wouldn't rule out DDoSing as a cause. Today I was in w65, one of the new 1 item saving bh worlds, and it crashed at least 4 times in an hour, starting with extreme lag and then disconneting or immovability of your character. It might not be DDOSing because as MMG said it may be caused by flaws with the 3rd party servers.

Predict new prices!
I'm laughing at the people who panicke and sold all their good pvp weaponry in fear of price drops. I was one of the few who did the bold move of keeping my sgs while it dropped 5m in 3 ge updates, and now I'll probably be rewarded for it. SGS's are on the rise again along with everything else the panicky players stuffed the ge with, w2 offers are at 60m for sgs and 95m for ags! I was so sad when the price of SGS dropped a day after I bought mine, and now I'll hopfully be rewarded for not panicking. BGS - probably rise to 23m and stabilize, maybe drop a tiny bit AGS - not including junk trades, will rise back to around 85m for a while. Whip - rise to 3m then crash to 2m Dharok's - continue to drop massively because 4 iteming is dead now Dragon Claws - go back to shooting up rapidly, maybe in the vicinity of 40m, and then dropping back a little to stabilize at 37ish. Dark Bow - I haven't kept track of this item's price so i have no idea.

17th July 2009 - Bounty Worlds (+1 Item)
It forces the ep'ers to actually be RISKING the money now so that there aren't a bunch of people who simply protect the item their risking thus giving the pker nothing and saving them money. Brianite was right imo, it hasn't stopped 26kers but it has made the process much harder/annoying. But this will not stop 26kers simply because theres still the incentive of money. And now people who get scammed by their 76k partners (the other guy logs when its the person's turn) lose more money and a few might get frustrated with it and stop. After all, now there's more incentive to logout and screw your partner over because otherwise it costs you 76k of your money.

17th July 2009 - Bounty Worlds (+1 Item)
Update didn't really solve inflation because the dropped prices are simply rising back up again. I'm happy because I bought an sgs when it was 56mil a day before the 1st pvp update. Then it dropped to 51m, but now people are desperate to buy it, w2 offers going for as much as 60m. I'm laughing at the people who panicked and sold their whips, d claws, godswords, etc right after the first update and now are lost for the sudden turn in price again. AGS's are going for 95m! Poor kids... I'm glad I kept my brawlers and sgs and whip. I even bought a bunch of sharks while they were dropping and now people are buying them for 2k ea.

Brawlers ---- Now Useless.
Right now there are very few brawlers that can be used either in low level wildy and/or close to a bank. Woodcutting, cooking, firemaking, magic, and prayer are probably still good brawlers to use because you can use them close to a safe spot, but as for the rest? Insanely risky. Agility brawlers are absolutely useless now. There were always loads of pkers in the agility course, and the fact that we can now lose agility brawlers guarenteed simply adds to pker incentive to come there. I HIGHLY doubt anyone can go more than 30 minutes training agility with those brawlers before getting pked. Mining and fishing brawlers are also quite far from safespots unless you use them in inconvenient or non-wilderness areas which drastically reduces the experience and efficiency of the brawlers. I don't think its worth using these brawlers if you can't feasibly take advantage of the full usage without having safer substitutes. I have 4 brawlers banked and now I don't think I can use any of them without either getting pked quickly or having to take a lower-experience safer method. It's a tough choice.

15th July 2009 - PvP Changes
Yeah, there are a bunch of merchants buying out black d'hide sets because they'll most likely go up from the update. Welfarers and normal rangers will use black dhide, melee hybrids will use it, and it's very cheap for its decent defense bonuses from both melee and mage. Maybe i should invest...

15th July 2009 - PvP Changes
THIS DOESN'T SOLVE ANYTHING! 26kers will now just move to 76king. A little more cost but still loads of money. In the mean time all the pkers are screwed over because they can't protect whip, godsword, or anything of remote value to them. D scims will probably shoot up now. And brawlers are absolutely worthless because you lose them guarenteed if you die! Claw rushers will still be invincible in their bandos and protect melee, they'll just be a little more nervous than before. AGS's will probably plunge and maybe claws will drop a little from those 1 iteming rushers who are new screwed over. The only good thing that came out of this is that 1 itemers no longer can 1 item, and they weren't evne that big of a problem in the first place!

your getting picked on because you got d claws!!!
I think you need to stop being so insecure about comments said to you over the internet. So what? You kill a guy and they get pissed off because they didnt get to fight back. Of course they're gonna try to say something to make you feel bad, but it never works. But you, for some reason, let it get to your head and feel angry that they say such things to you. You're a d clawer, one of the most hated pkers in runescape. There's nothing wrong with you rushing, but the pkers don't like it and they're gonna try to trash talk you since they can't get you back in a fight. If you can't handle angry pkers yelling at you for attacking them, don't be a claw rusher and instead go into the normal rushing business. But you can't expect to be treated like a friend by pkers who just lost (or nearly lost) loads of money to you.

DDS dm with target (double brawlers!)
Got this from a no food dds deathmatch with my target today. I was at 100% ep. 950k loot and DOUBLE brawlers in the same kill (plus, the two brawlers i got work well together : ). I never thought it was possible! I know some of ya'll must have gotten better loots before, but for me, with my non-pker stats, this was the most epic loot I've ever gotten. inb4 "lrn2risk". Like I said, I'm not really a pker, i just seek the brawlers for fast xp and a little monies on the way

Mining.
Mining is an insanely slow skill to train, but I vote we keep it the way it is because a LOT of items in the market revolve around these ores. Bars, armor, bolts, and weaponry all are affected by the mining skill and making such a drastic change to it all of a sudden would flip the entire market in 10 different directions.

What do you do? Borrowers who can't wield.
Well I rarely lend anything in the first place, but if I were ever to stumble upon someone who traded without checking requirements, I'd probably just leave them there to whine. My business is lending the item and earn money. Their business is to provide the money for desired item. I've already satisfied my end of the deal, why should I go an extra mile to make him happy?

13 July 2009 - Interview with Mod Zephyri (Sam Hogg)
Hmm apparently she hinted at the future release of the range-themed bar, (she named Poison Arrow) and of course didn't clearly identify if the dragon c'bow is being released.

things that didnt made sense to you when you were a kid
I was always confused by those old TV puppet show things on PBS. You know, those kid friendly shows where all the characters were puppets. I never understood how they moved their limbs since they were puppets, and it confused me more to see those rods sticking out of their arms, and what their purpose was. Took me a long time to realize the two of them complemented eachother...

Imageshack gone paranoid
I'm a little confused since my knowledge on hackers is limited. So a group of hackers hacked imageshack to protest... script kiddies stealing their programming? Kind of a weird thing to protest. But hacking a huge site like that was a good way to get the message across. Now probably every forum in existence of the internet has seen that picture over and over, most forums would probably have a discussion about it, and basically all of the internet would be watching to see what happens next. But think about it, they could have done a lit more damage if they had more evil intentions. What if they replaced everyone's image with, say, adult/gory images, or even illegal ones? Chances are thousands of people would have been banned from their respective forums and caused chaos all over the internet until people realize the images were hacked and the banned forum user was innocent. This whole thing wouldn't per chance be related to the DDoS attack on 4chan, would it?

NRFB? NRFB!
Never removed from box? Some collector's term for a perfectly condition item. I own nothing of any remote collector's value -.-

Mobilising Armies Glitch - Exiles story
Well I don't know what to say about this. Employees of any companies should never stoop to the level of calling their customers liars. But then he has the obligatory professional-style apology which I suppose helped, but didn't resolve, his post that disgraced mods as a whole. The policy wasn't his fault nor do I think it is wrong for being there. Jagex would have 10 times the normal work to do if they had to sift through each complaint to find true losses and refund money. Why shouldn't he take money to the minigame? He put his TRUST in Jagex that they were correct in saying the minigame was a safe one and therefore assumed his money was safe. But alas, a slight overlook by QA cost him his money. No Runescape player would anticipate that a SAFE minigame could rob you of all your money. He's not dumb for bringing money at all. Nobody could have anticipated losing all their money upon logging out, they put a lot more trust in Jagex than that. A lot of bugs that players fell victim to weren't their fault. Like the spontaneous death glitch where players just walked around and suddenly dropped dead losing all their items. Was it their fault that they decided to take a stroll with their armor and weapons? Could even the smartest of runescape players have predicted they were going to drop dead for no reason? The victim of this glitch has been through enough. He lost his life savings in the game, he got flamed by a mod who apologized but could do nothing to help him due to the policy, and now a random player shows up and calls HIM dumb for trusting Jagex's game quality?

Noobs say the funniest things!
A few days ago I was mining in pvp and this level 109 pker approached me. He looked at me mining mithril with my sc pickaxe and exclaimed "woah is that a dragon pick?! whered you get it??" When I told him it was actually sacred clay, he said ok and killed me for no reason -.-
