Well..It's official, North Korea has gone mad
I'd love to say we nuke the crap out of them before they can retaliate, but i don't like the idea of us doing exactly what Kim Jong Il says -- that America is the aggressor. Although if we do manage to nuke the crap out of them, it'll be a bit too late for him to tell his people "I told you so". Not to mention nukes would kill thousands of innocents. And even if their mentally insane leader is taken out of power, one of his mentally insane followers would simply assume the throne, or his son who has most likely already been brainwashed by daddy's insane teachings.

Saudis Were Funding Al Qaeda
The Royal Family realizes that America can't do crap to stop them without ending diplomatic ties. I mean, we go around spreading democracy to every country that doesn't want it, except for Saudi Arabia. Because they're our buddy and we don't wanna mess with them. Then it turns out that they are funding a group that was messing with us big time. Do we have the right to mess with them now? Of course not, because we need the oil.

I found the higher power durandel talks about in wgs!(Infer)
Basically he's saying Durandel is breaking the fourth wall. Not the first time that's happened (If you recall the "Runescape's just a COMPUTER GAME" rant from the bartender) Fourth wall..? im sorry im a complete noob, played 6 years and i still only have 130 or so quest points and 1367 total :/ Breaking the 4th wall is a term in theatre that means that the characters remind the audience (or themselves) that they are, in fact, an audience watching a play rather than a real story (breaking the wall between story and real life). In Runescape here breaking the 4th wall is basically when the NPCs remind the player that he is a character in a game and that Runescape isn't real. Like some bartender in the game whos dialogue includes saying that the world of Runescape is a computer game. Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if the higher power was simply another reference to the real world and once again breaking the 4th wall. I never heard of this whole "mage Gower" thing but it sounds like it fits into this speculation perfectly, that perhaps if the storyline of Runescape were ever to end that it would end at the peak of fiction practically breaking into the real world, which I think would be the most epic game ending in history.

Finally the dragon pick axe!
I highly doubt it will be released in the next quest, it has a hunter and FM requirement rather than mining. Maybe as everyone else said the future sequels could see the releasing of it, but I can almost guarentee it won't come up right now.

If Brawlers Were Tradable? :O
Certain brawlers that are sorta unnecessary like wc might go only for 80-90kish. But I wouldn't be surprised if agility went for over 3m just because gives insane experience. The average exp/hr for agil is around 60k max, but with brawlers its over 200k making agility nearly 4 times easier. Smithing would become way easier with its brawlers using Dareyeek furnace tele and edgy tele over and over. Combat ones would be around 1mil-ish because most players who buy them don't usually want one or two, they want several so that they can go all the way to 99 in the combat skill. Thus they need to be pretty expensive for their bonus xp but not so much that buying a few would ruin your life savings. But no, I would not like brawlers to be tradeable because it makes every skill just about 4 times easier for a little extra money. I wouldn't like watching some once prestigous skills to turn into competitions over who has the most money to reach 1-99 in a week.

Big updates to come?
It could be. GWD was released in an august where there were plenty of players to try it out. But then again, Construction/POH was released in a May where people still have jobs/school to do. I think it all depends just on when the updates are ready. Few times (to my knowledge) has Jagex purposely postponed a completed update just to put it in at key moments.

The guide to using brawling gloves (WIP)
How long are agil brawlers supposed to last? I was using my agil brawlers just now at wildy course and it got me 67-70 agil, around 150kish exp. Now at one point shortly after i got 70 agil i got pked (I was skulled with d mace and brawlers in order to get dp). I kept my mace with prot items but my brawlers were nowhere to be found. I was wondering if the mace somehow protected over the brawlers or did my brawlers just run out before i died and I didn't notice?

New BH glitch?
Maybe I misunderstood what this was about, but that win doesnt look like bug abuse. All it is is a bunch of guys take full verac (4 iteming) and protect items and never attack anyone. The other team who wants a war would obviously attack the veracs. But once you get attacked, you can fight back and not get skulled. Thus the veracers used a revolutionarily simple tactic of letting the opponents attack them first so they don't need to skull and risk anything. I don't think that's really relevant to this "skull glitch" OP was talking about. To my knowledge there isn't a glitch or else all Runescape forums would be up in arms about losing valueble gear. You may have fallen for skull trickery. Happened to me once when I was 4 iteming in verac during a clan war. Some guy came charging at me and he looked like he was going to attack. I had my clicker ready to attack him back and when he came close enough I chose the attack option assuming he would have been the first attacker (since he charged) and I wouldn't skull. Guess what? He didn't attack me first. He chose follow instead of attack and thus lured me into attacking him first and skulling. His clan promptly piled me and i died losing 3 verac pieces :wall:

Mom charged $80,000 per song for file sharing
Out of all the people to make an example of, they pick out a mother who took around 2 albums worth of songs with 4 kids whom she probably has to pay to feed and educate? I highly doubt anyone will learn a lesson from this besides the overly strung up soccer moms who believes the Internet is the spawn of the devil. And lets face it, a majority of the file-sharers of the world are not strung-up soccer moms. Why not go after the bigger law-breakers, the ones who downloaded thousands of songs illegally who thought they were invincible from justice and had their computers craploaded with songs they never listen to but just downloaded because its free?

One Small Favour as a level 3.
Oh for crying out loud... first the kid doesn't provide a pic and everyone yells at him, then he tosses in a pic that looks pretty damn legit and you start questioning the legitimacy. Nothing in the screenie seems to have any flaws that indicate an edit, and the accomplishment has been done before, so I think he's telling the truth.

High School Grad Denied Diploma After Blowing Kiss
It's a sad day in this planet when all forms of public shows of affection -- from hugging your best friend you've known for you entire life to sending a kiss to your mother and siblings -- is banned due to "foolishness".

death and beyond
I am Catholic and thus believe in eternal life after death, but at times I can find such a thing incredibly hard to perceive. The concept of eternity scares and confuses me. I mean, where was the beginning of the universe? before the big bang. Even if there was nothingness, where did that nothing come from? What does a total absense of everything look like? Just a blank white spot? Well that's something, isn't it? How could there have been something for all eternity before the big bank, and all of a sudden at the end of all life it just goes to absolutely nothing? There has to be something there. This is why I try not to kill myself with these questions. I leave my future (and past) in the hands of God so I can move on with my life and let the Atheists work out a logical explanation to the concept of nothing and eternity.

18th June 2009 - Membership cards in 7-Eleven
I live 2 houses down from a 7-11 but I really don't care about these cards lol. Meh, its an advancement of Jagex in the economic world, so why not?

MURDERER! It's obvious that the fly represented the Iranian people and his reaction shows his amount of care towards them. KONSPIRACY!

Mysterious Skeleton in Wilderness Volcano?
but greater demons turn to ash when they die, not bones. The dragonkin idea sounds reasonable considering that they are probably closely tied with the wilderness and whatnot. This makes me realize how few times Jagex has spur-of-the-moment updates. Everything is thought out so early that they have time to add storyline hints like the Dragonkin to updates as simple as releasing more monsters.

How many of you frequent some sort of *chan?
I occasionally lurk /b/ when bored, mainly in search of lols that cannot be found on FML and failblog. I personally enjoy the threads about mind[bleep]s because it's an exciting prospect to click on the image tab and not knowing what you're gonna get. Will it be a funny mind[bleep]? A scary [cabbage]-yourself-in-fear one that you would be stupid to view before bed? Or will there be nothing at all and all the poster did was waste your time? It's a great excitement. Very few of the memes are actually enjoyable and I don't usually go there for em. Courage Wolf and Depression Dog are the only ones I find humorous.

16th June 2009 Bounty Worlds and Gravestones
I was doin 26k with another tipiter. in 4 kills i got 2 sara statuettes, zammy icon, sara icon, and the 30k ancestral bridhge thing. I got sara statuette and sara icon in one kill so yes it is possible to get multiple. One problem is that word is spreading fast that you can get these statuettes at 0% ep. I doubt this was intended, but my partner made 1.75m off two statuettes at 0% ep.

16th June 2009 Bounty Worlds and Gravestones
I go to bh frequently in a team and I have mixed feelings of this update. I guess everyone could see that sooner or later Jagex would end high-value boss drops coming in pvp because it was screwing with the economy, spo that's fair. But what really annoyed me was the tele change. The best thing about bh was that if you're in combat your only savior is ring of life, which isn't always the best thing to trust millions of gp in items with. Glory/cmb brace only worked well if you weren't getting piled so they were never much of a threat to clans. But now its right back to teletubbying- a lone explorer ventures through the wild, sees clan, teles on spot, wastes clan's time. What separates bh wilderness from normal pvp wildy now? The level differences, and addition of target. That's it. The teleing update was a key feature that made bh unique and worthwhile. I wouldn't think so. The beast isn't an "instanced" event because you can come to the lair as often as you want. And Jagex doesn't want gravestones there because it would be easy to repeatedly kamikaze the beast with your team since you have nothing to lose and the lair is a short walk away from clw/bh bank.

Is RS Your 'Dirty Little Secret?'
Be careful with that. Most parents take it in an entirely different way if you switch or close out tabs right when they walk in... Baci in 5th grade where every kid played Runescape, it wasn't a shame to play but rather an honor. Then now in high school most kids are insecure about being a runescape player. Most claim that they "used to play" and don't anymore. Some are telling the truth like those people who moved to other online games. But I know just from looking at them that some are just insecure about whether or not playing runescape would ruin their social lives. As for me I'm sort of like one of those types of people, I usually just don't discuss games online at all and I only confess to runescape playing if someone admits to playing it first.

Am I a murderer?
Well I guess its haunting cries of agony will punish you enough, you don't deserve any legal punishment if that's what you were terrified over. The fact that you were so distraught by the incident that you took it to the internet and created a thread about it debating with yourself over your moral values shows how much you were affected by it. My suggestion? Just be careful when you mow the lawn next time. What's done is done.

runescape classic undeground pass vs. runescape 2
I can't imagine how much of a frustrating cliffhanger it must have been to complete Underground pass in RSC. You go through all those painful obstacles, defeat Ivan, and finally as your reward you learn of a magical land of elves beyond your wildest imagination. But guess what? You can't go there yet, it hasn't even been designed by the creators. All your efforts have been to chase a goal that isn't even tangible yet. Congratulations.

Holocaust museum shooting and hate crimes
If we would just euthanize the mentally ill like I suggest, we wouldn't have these kinds of problems. I don't mean offense towards disabled people, I really don't. I just feel that it's the right thing to do. Haven't you been told before in another thread the irony of a person like you saying that? Especially in a thread here on the Holocaust where Jews and other people who were thought of as the burden to society were mass murdered, then you turn around and say that we should do the exact same to the mentally ill? You got upset in the other thread when someone compared you to a Nazi. But then you hold a core value to the Nazis of removing those who are polluting the gene pool. And I thought we explained last time that most mental illnesses are due to mutations and are not always inherited disorders. Diseases like Down syndrome are mistakes during cell division of sex cells and an offspring can be born with down syndrome from any parent regardless of how healthy their genetic history is. I'm not calling you a Nazi, but how can you justify such a view that is as disgusting and as flawed as the views of Nazi's that we now recognize as wrong today?

11th June 2009 - Macro-detection systems update
Not exactly a huge leap foreward in the macroing war, but I'm glad to see that they're keeping it up. I've always hated macroers and gold farmers. I report auto talkers whenever I see them, I used to lure bots to their death back when they would follow yew log trails towards a nasty hobgoblin, and I LOVED pking gold farmers back in old wilderness when they killed green dragons. They're not usually autoers, but they're rule breakers and I loved the satisfaction of watching them die. It's great to see that I'm not the only one who enjoys watching cheaters suffer, and I'm happy that Jagex is not giving up on eradicating the world on macroers.

Game-engine Improvements by Andrew 11-Jun-2009
I'd love to receive the conveniences of multi-tasking on runescape in all aspects of combat. But it's not a major necesity right now and I can wait a while for it to come if it means sorting out all the kinks that could screw up all of Runescape. I'm very glad to see that Jagex is continuing to work hard 24/7 at replacing old parts of the engine to make the game running smoothly. They won't end up as update-happy kids who spout new expansions without seeing if they flow well with the old coding. Great job Jagex! =D>
