Today (or actually it was friday) I met a girl who was afraid of ice cream trucks and postal trucks. She was serious too. She apparently associates both of them with serial killers, child molesters, and rapists in disguise. Is there a phobia for that?

Personally i don't see the discussion value in all these shock threads on news events. Crap like this happens all the time. It's a miserable world we live in, and I don't think we'll see any more other responses in this thread besides "wow thats horrible" and people describing what they'd do to punish them.

I live in a rather diverse high school. The black people call eachother the n-word, and even the brown people call eachother the n-word for some reason. It's been totally adapted by the Indo-Pak club and all the Middle Eastern kids in our school. And yes, we do refer to them collectively as brown people. I'm brown, I really don't care about being called brown because it can be very annoying to say "person of Indian and/or Middle Eastern heritage" every time you want to refer to someone from those countries. I call myself and my brown friends brown in front of my friends from every race, it's just a word used collectively and not derogatorily. And if a black guy is friends with someone from any other race, they consider it fine to be called the n-word by that friend.

I'll consider trying one when I get the time. Are normal iPod headphones good enough, or do you need those big fancy ones that cover your whole ear?

I am a member of MyCokeRewards which is a site made by the CocaCola company that gives you points towards stuff when you enter codes found on coke bottles. Now point accumulation is incredibly slow unless you're an avid coke drinker. That's sort of the reason I joined the site: my dad drinks a bottle of diet coke every day on his way to work, and we host house parties for family friends frequently and bring out the coke and sprite and fanta, etc. Basically, we go across a lot of points and I might as well save some up for free rewards. Naturally the rewards are a bit on the cheap side: some of the considered "best value" rewards are $10-20 gift cards to various stores, but they go for a whopping 400ish points, which is about 134 coke bottles (each 12oz bottle is 3 points while the big refrigerator packs for 8oz cans are worth 10). So don't bother joining the site if you're doing it purely for the rewards. I think it's best for the kind of person who drinks coke regularly as a habit, because you might as well be getting something out of all those bottles you down regularly. These kinds of sites are all low value rewards (usually requiring a LOT of obligatory stuff and program requirements before you get them) but the rewards are decent if you have nothing better to do. I mean, if you are browsing the internet for hours on end, why not go to one of those survey sites and take a 20minute survey a few times for free stuff? With these kind of things, don't go out of your way for rewards, just take them as they come along.

I would think thats exactly the reason why. You need a legitimate reason nowadays to do something different in an online game? Although if you must ask, I supose the reason is to keep the combat level low for a while and when the combat spells for pking rack up hp xp, they're still relatively low level compared to other pures who trained hp with their combat skills.

You should always take these threats of random reporters seriously. Many a player have been banned or muted for doing nothing at all, but a tiny slip up of the report department caused their demise. As much as you hate to do it, the best option IS to reply to them and stop alching for a second just to shut them up. Perhaps try alching in a low-traffic area. Alch in lumby swamps, elf lands, your house, anywhere obscure that reduces the number of players who wil come by and start bombarding you with questions or accusations.

Even if you didn't get hp exp from training, you'd still get hp from combat itself, and after a few fights you'll lose the insanely rare 9hp account. I think you should just keep it for the novelty sake, just to show off to everyone.

I think you should just return the ps3 and get the money back just to show your dad you mean business. Don't give either of them a gift just yet. Your friend will understand and you can give him a gift after his birthday when your dad cools off. Maybe get your bro a card just to "show you care" or even better a really nice yet cheap birthday object like a small cake or balloon for "sentimental value" and keep daddy from going insane, and then go out and buy a decent gift from your friend a few days later. That's just what I would do, not sure if it would work with your family.

What if it turns out to be a fast, buyable skill using the resources already in the game? :P Highly doubt it, they made sure and double sure that hunter and summoning wasn't totally buyable but yet still a money drain. I'm sure that the next skill that comes out will also have precautions to keep it safe from people with a lot of gp in their pockets and buying out the whole skill in a week. And the only reason construction is buyable is because it was meant to be a money drain. Anyway, if there were players to get 200m in everything it'd have to be someone who is working on or has already completed 200m in some of the harder skills. And since slayer still has no 200m reachers and isn't very close, it will still be a VERY long time bfore we see someone closing in on the goal. And with new skills pumped out every other year, it just makes everything harder. Who knows how slow it will be to train the newest skill?

I don't see why it's a big deal. Why waste 5 minutes of the game (1/4 of it) getting crap tools to slowly work your way up when you can just ask another player and get it a lot faster? I don't bother with sc clans; imo they're for the weak and lazy. But even in normal sc games in the sc worlds, there are always beggers. Now I'm usually a 1 itemer in sc with my pro c4 dag, so when I get a clay I make a tool for the clay and then get enough clay to make a dagger and food for me and some spare tools for all the skillers. It helps benefit my team by getting more people clay-collecting faster, and it stops the frustration of players who don't cooperate. And as some others have said, only those who refuse to donate one clay to a person are the real selfish people. Although I dispise sc game fixers, I still find it obvious that the idea of the game is to collect the clay as soon as possible for the game to end fastest. So if you give clay to other players, you're naturally going to speed up the game. But by being selfish and making a huge deal out of players who just want to speed up the game, you are just slowing the game for everyone and making yourself look bad.

I consider editing an image of a celebrity for any reason is unethical. There are two obvious reasons you'd edit an image of a celebrity: to make them more beautiful, or to ruin their public image. The first one is easy to spot: magazine models that were airbrushed to perfection or had their acne, dental hygene, and other minor flaws covered up. They are the cause of huge amounts of teenage girls doing harmful things to their body to look more like their model on the magazine. The latter of the two reasons is also incredibly harmful. There have been some famous situations, more recently involving Miley Cyrus, where someone fixed her image into an adult-rated pic to cause massive controversy. Just as photoshopped pictures can make a celebrity more beautiful, they can also ruin their image, and it's very difficult to prove the picture is fake since most people believe only what they see and will not listen to anything else.

Me and bacon discovered an epic monster to kill that is very easily killed and drops all this stuff. With the p pot merch in full swing, this is an excellent time for p pot drops =). This loot is from a mere half hour of killing.

I was angry for days when they ended the tv series on such a cliffhanger. I wonder if the movie will offer answers or will show a completely different storyline.

Ramen noodles are ok for on the go meals. Sometimes when I'm at school and forget to bring enough lunch money, I buy a bowl of ramen noodles for a dollar. The bowl of ramen is salted beyond belief though, and the kids at school who eat it regularly will probably die of heart attacks when they're 60, but I suppose in moderation its a decent meal.

A question on stunning with mage brawlers, I'm a little foggy. So first of all, you can wield an sc melee helm and still get double xp with mage? And second, can you stil get double xp if you are standing in the wild and use stun on a monster outside the wild, like a guard?

Well I don't think the advantages are too big. In boss battles the player with HD might be able to see the boss easier and get a better view at his health bar, and so most people say to battle bosses in HD unless your computer can't handle it (my comp can but I choose to stay in low detail even in boss battles). In pvp the advantage isn't that great either since long distance attacks (mage and range) have the same attack range in both graphics, although the low detail player might need to step in a few steps before they can see their target while the HD players can attack from further and let their character automatically run further.

In my opinion the only reason there's going to be a summer crash is because everyone believes there is a summer crash. If no one made a big deal of it, items would drop a tiny bit from the quitters and stabilize. But no, everyone has to freak out and make a big deal out of the predicted summer crash, telling everyone who will listen and explaining the crash as though they are experts on economics. It's these people that are the cause of the "crash" and not the people who actually quit at the end of the summer, they just gave everyone a reason to freak out.

This didn't happen to me, but to my clan leader. I'm part of a 1 item pvp unit (noobish, I know, but most of us still risk necessary moeny for ep) and my clan leader got a kill in deep wildy. One of the loot items was a bandos stat. He picked it up not realizing that the statuette protects over his d claws. So when we went into battle with another 1 item clan, he was among the first to die and promptly lost his claws and kept the statuette. FHL. And something smaller that happened to me: I was 26king with a friend before the 76k rule was added (again, I know you think I'm the cancer to the pvp system and I am, but as long as there's free monies I don't care about the noobishness) and instead of withdrawing 26000 gp I accidently added an extra 0 and took out 260k, then went to die. When I was redbarred I happened to glance to my inv and saw my fail, but by then it was too late. Not that big of a loss, but still a waste of money.
