  1. I really wish jagex would at least release a list of the rare gamble loots so we stop having faking losers causing panic in the rs community.
  2. God damnit, if you're trying to start a discussion don't start it with a fake image. Makes you look like an idiot.
  3. Jesus christ people, learn to put a picture in hide tags when you quote it :wall: To unspam: a somewhat decent loot from pvp trick I forgot which weapon this is, i got it like a month ago.
  4. Someone told me you can't remove monster heads from your POH. Is this true? I really want to get my basilisk head out of the house and turn it into a pet. That would be cool. 8-)
  5. ^But the majority of emos are either doing it for the webcam, for popularity in school, or because their girlfriend left them. Those are the ones who should put the freaking razor down and get a life. I sympathize with the ones whose lives generally are horrible and self-harm is the only way they can solve it.
  6. When I was in 6th-8th grade my school had a spelling be each year with a few other Catholic schools in the area. On my very first spelling bee I skipped 2 basketball practices to study only to get the first word "undertow" wrong (I spelled it undertoe. What an idiot.). On my second spelling bee in 7th grade I got to the last few rounds before misspelling "drowsiness" (I spelled it with a Z instead of s)
  7. Why do you go skulled dharok pking at trolls? Is it really a good pk spot? And wow, vesta skirt in a non-hotspot. Makes me wonder just how big the drop differences are between hotspot and non-hotspot.
  8. Usually when I finish a task, i continue killing until my supplies are low. Like at spectres, I keep killing till my prayer is out. At other monsters i keep killing till my hp is low then i tele out. Since I'm already at those monsters and fully equipped, why stop halfway?
  9. Ugh, is this like the 4th thread of nervous players questioning d claw prices? It's starting to bug me. Might as well have some input while I'm here. I don't own d claws, but I want a pair. But I'm not going to spend over 20m on it. So my mentality, along with other frugal scapers, is to wait for it to go down to a comfortable price (5m or less is reasonable, 2m or less is excellent) and then jump in and buy it at its cheapest. So if every buyer was like this, then it could mean that d claws go down so low that every merchant in the game will dump them, and suddenly the frugal buyers jump in and the price shoots right back up. Of course, any merchant with half a brain wouldn't sell it at its cheapest, so maybe they'll just fluctuate a bit until every buyer is satisfied. For those who are comparing it to ags: while its spec is devastating, that's all its good for. At least for the ags you can continue to hit hard after the spec. But for d claws, you're screwed if you don't manage to kill your foe in those 2 specs. If they were quick clickers and turn on pro melee before your 1st or 2nd spec, they've pretty much survived unless they were really low after the 1st spec.
  10. Maybe they'll remove the whole "redbarred-but-not-dead" issue that has cost players of all types their security, their loot, and sometimes their lives. How many times have you seen in pvp: a player uses a finishing hit on another, the victim gets red-barred, the attacker says "gf" and eats up to prevent from pjers, but the victim doesnt die! Instead, he rapidly eats up to a comfortable hp level and continues the fight. Turns out he was really at 2 or 3 hp left and received basically a graceful 3 seconds to eat up and fight again. I can't tell how many times this has happened to me and how many kills that pkers from all sides of runescape have fallen victim to this unintended rip-off of a pk. And in killing monsters too, it's very frequent that you think you killed a monster and then off your prayer or eat up only for the monster to still be alive and unleah a deadly hit on you.

I think that was in a magazine once. I forgot the reasoning, but it is to your advantage to switch your choice. It was in the novel "The curious incident of the dog in the nighttime". I must reread it. And to the OP: your reasoning is flawed. You can't divide by 0 because it produces obscure, impossible results. Then there's the classic: What happens when unstoppable force hits an immovable object? My mediocre reasoning is that an unstoppable force and an immovable object cannot exist simultaneously in the same universe. Unstoppable means that absolutely nothing can stop it. Immovable means that absolutely nothing can move it. You can't have both of them at the same time, they negate eachother. Now lets say for the sake of a good argument that both do happen to somehow exist in one universe (which would defy logic and physics). In which case, my friends and I (we were discussing this riddle at lunch in school) thought of a few results for if the two were to collide: 1. If the force was continuous, like a lazer beam or another beam-type thing, then the force would break up and move around the object, or be sent in a lateral direction. Sounds imposible? We're defying all the laws of logic and physics to keep the two things in the same universe, remember? 2. If the force was a one time non-continuous thing, like say the punch of an incredibly strong giant that couldn't be stopped, then both the force and the object would be destroyed instantly. I know my reasoning sounds awkward, I haven't much experience in the theoretical thinking department,
  12. A lot of the friends my parents have were people we met in church or people who share our religion. I can't count how many times those kind religious people have stepped in in our times of need, and how we did the same with others. It's a great way to meet lifelong friends. And if you are actually thinking about practical benefits, practicing a religion helps in social studies classes when studying the history of a faith.
  13. Not sure if anyone pointed this out already, but Hazelmere basically completely gave away the ending to wgs after beating Path of Glouphrie. [hide=Hazelmere's predictions] [/hide] The 8 brothers: The men you recruit for wgs to fight Lucien The deciever: Lucien You dressed in the ochre robes of the deciever: The Dagon'Hai robes Remaining true to guthix: self-explanatory, this is a guthix quest after all Two warriors surviving (slayer and warrior): The two warriors who survived Luciens onslaught. If I'm not mistaken it was Mazchna the Slayer master and Grommel the Warrior guild guard. The only thing he predicted that hasn't come true? The thing he said at the end. That someone, perhaps the player, would become the guardian of the trees. Perhaps the next quest involves the spirit trees or trees of runescape? I'm going to train my woodcutting...
  14. Yeah, death with a team of players is not so serious anymore. But if you drop any barrows items, you still lose financially. Barrows items are instantly degraded to 0 when dropped. But if you ask me, nothing should be changed. So what, people are less distraught after dying? It simply spares people a tremendous emotional loss. When I died at bandos, I lost v helm, flail, d boots, and several other valuebles. Thankfully my team blessed my grave and i got the items back (but my veracs items were degraded to 0). If gravestones ere removed, i might never set foot in a dangerous team area again for fear of my teammates looting me. And let's face it, there is no solution here. Removing gravestones would only bring back death scammers and looters who either trick noobs into dying or camp at dangerous places like vultures ready to scoop up the loot when someone dies. And RWTing would return. So I really don't see a solution here.
  15. Yup, I too got a free 30 days of member credit for being wrongly banned. I didn't even appeal my ban because I didn't know I WAS banned. It happened while I was at school and by the time I got home I was already unbanned, so I really didn't no anything was going on until I checked my message center. Anyone who complains about Jagex's customer support needs to learn to see more than just their issues: look at how many people have benefitted from Jagex's care of customers and then stop moaning about a ban and just appeal it.
  16. thats why there is the protect item prayer  Which makes it a problem for the real pkers who have to put up with 1-iteming losers who think their d claws will destroy everything and thus irk the pkers to no end with specs. If I'm not mistaken, a lot of pk items protect over the d claws making it a risky finishing wep for real pkers. If you die its a 30m loss.
  17. I played basketball in a Catholic school league. There was no compassion or sympathy for the losing team. We played respectfully, and on the rare occasion we completely dominated another team instead of close victories, we didn't rub it in anyones face. We celebrated, talked amongst ourselves about our epic shots, etc, but didn't be jerks to the other team about it. But I admit the coach did seem to do a little unnecessary acts. Full court press 4th quarter? Even if you don't want to sympathize with the other team, switching to a normal man-to-man or even zone defence would be a good way to give your own team a little break. Or bring out the weaker players to get a chance at playing. That's what my coach did when our team was up by a lot. In 6th grade I sucked at basketball so I always hoped that we would either crush the other team or get crushed by them so that there was no hope for a comeback so that my coach would put me and the other weaker players in the 4th quarter. Why couldn't he have done that? Don't overwork your players just to crush the other guys. Be competitive, don't necessarily go easy on them, but there's no need to go extreme to prove you're the better team. But is crushing a team worth the loss of a job? No. The losing team probably was the type of team that lost 90% of their games, losing another game shouldn't be a big spirit crusher. Deal with losses. They're a part of life. If the winning coach had been a jerk about winning, I could understand him getting fired.
  18. I like doing some tasks purely solo either to save money or to prove to myself that I can do it and/or gain some exp. But I don't know where I'd be without player interactions. I have a few friends I chat with frequently but my real social life in rs comes from tipit and forsakenmage clan chat. Not only are fellow tipiters great entertainment while I'm hacking away at maple trees or bloodvelds, but they also are like a quick knowledge database of everything you need to know. I ask loads of questions on the chat and I get quick and accurate answers. I've heard of players who play rs with virtually no interaction with anyone, but you're the first one who actually was open about it. Do you plan on becoming a more interactive tipiter and rs player, or continue to complete most of your tasks by yourself?
  19. Do Jagex mods count here? I got a couple: [hide=J mods are stalking tipit!]From the early days of clan chat when tipitchat still existed, Mod Michael stopped by for a visit. The chat got really spammy after that and it filled quickly. And a more recent one, this was from the recent Bandos TET trip. Mod Jon H stopped by. He nearly died at 9hp because he wasn't praying, and hinted to us that he had a lvl 70 wc/fletch skiller. [/hide] What's with the recent j mod visits at TET events? TETAU even had a visit on one of their recent events. Be afraid, they're going to shut us down!
  20. Umm... I'm no economist but what I'm thinking is that they'll crash to a very low price: around 1-2mil. At that time, those who want the d claws badly but didn't want to pay so much for them will swoop in and suddenly the demand for claws comes back. I'm one of the people who would like a pair of claws but I'm not going to blow most of my life savings on it. Once it gets within a cheap range, then I'll consider buying it. Who knows? It might be a good investment if they start to go up again.
  21. I doubt they'll stick to private party areas in POH since their recent crackdown on RWT'ers and item transfer-ers. The item seller would have a small house with his party room and the other player would simply walk in and grab the stuff. That is, provided that the private party area is anything like Party Pete's. Maybe Jagex will work out a different system.
  22. Jagex IS doing all they can. Yesterday I logged into runescape and i saw that i had 5 messages in my message center. I was shocked. I quickly checked my message center. It turns out that first, i had a message saying I was banned. Then the next message said I was found innocent and I was unbanned. The other 3 messages were ones saying I had an offense that had given me a black mark. I checked the "appeal an offence" section and it said my account was in the green zone with no black marks. Basically I was banned, then unbanned, then got 3 offences, then lost all 3 offences, all without sending a single appeal and without me knowing my account was on the verge of serious trouble while I wasn't playing. You may ask, am I guilty of bug abuse? No I am not. On the day the bug was released, I went to w60 to see what the hubbub was about. It was all over forsakenmage chat, I was talking to a few friends and they heard it, so naturally my inane curiousity would not let me sit there watching my crops grow when one of the biggest bugs in history was occuring. I didn't plan on using the bug at all, just to come in and see what was going on so I could say I was an eyewitness when people looked back. I saw players abusing the penguins. I didn't take part. I spotted the penguins once like I was supposed to because it was easy points. But I did not abuse the bug. So for those of you who say Jagex is unworthy of your money or are being stupid in handling this: you obviously don't deserve a game like this. Appeal whatever punishment you received if you were truly innocent like I was. Don't get pissed just because of a mistake. They're handling hundreds of bug abusers while sifting through the innocent and AT THE SAME TIME trying to run the game normally and handle unrelated appeals and player reports.
  23. I can vouch that the drop is real. I saw you trying hard to sell it at ge to no avail. But you could have at least mentioned that in your original post to spare some of the harsh comments from observant fellows who caught on but got the wrong idea.
  24. I'm thinking now that there isn't anything in this world that can't kill you. It's either launched at close to light speed or having a lack/failure of it kills you (i.e. food, internal organs).
  25. Which is why they reviewed each case individually to make sure the guilty people are actually guilty... And pulli, I might have the wrong person in mind so it might not be you, but were you the one who admitted in forsakenmage cc that you got 3k penguin points from the glitch?
