I love the family reunions with my mom's side of the family. A perfect warm summer evening, sitting on the deck chatting up a storm while enjoying the weather, while my dad grills us supper. After soaking up the atmosphere and a glorious orange sunset, we'll gather in the living room and continue the joy until it gets dark. Then the younger of us might adventure outside for some exciting nightly games on the farm. Maybe we'll play kick the can, loads of places to hide, especially in the dark. Maybe we'll grab some high-power flashlights and play flashlight tag, there's scores of acres to hide, and dozens of buildings. One of us will get the idea to split into teams, and maybe we won't tell the others about it. After we tire ourselves out, we'll head inside to watch some T.V., talk about the day, then go to bed, eagerly awaiting what excitement awaits us the next day. We might head up to the water park, or something more lazy, such as taking our home-built pontoon up to the lake, taking turns fishing while the rest of us grill. That's the good stuff.
