  1. I think the fee is 999gp. And bring 75 steel arrows (or was it 75 iron arrows?) for the upgrade.
  2. I beg to differ. It took me 30 minutes to get just the medium pouch. OT: definitely use the fairy ring area. There's absolutely no danger and if you're still worried, you can stand right next to the ring. The Fairy Ring code to this particular Abyssal space is A-L-R.
  3. It's been a while since I've been to Shilo Village but I believe you can buy vials from their general store.
  4. I'd suggest runecrafing Laws and then sell them on F2P worlds for 400gp each but your runecrafting isn't high enough. :( With 400k, I am able to by 4k pure ess to runecraft into 4k Laws. Sell the 4k Laws at 400gp/Law and I'll end up with 1.6M gp. If it takes me approximately 1 hour to make 1k Laws, then I would have used 4 hours. 1.6M gp / 4 hours gives me 400k / hour. Not too shabby if you have lvl-54 runecrafting. I recommend you look at your skills and consider what you can do that will produce a large sum of money in a relatively short time period. If not, just merchant raw materials.
  5. Unfortunately you can only make and high alch yew longs from scratch is if you can make Nature runes on your own. Although I'm unable to make yew longs, I've been making plenty of Nature runes to high alch maple longs and this is a painful process if you do not use the Abyss to speed up runecrafting.
  6. Mods, this is a duplicate thread. Please lock it or something.
  7. If you're lucky enough to have accumulated a large amount of goutweed tubers, you can grow goutweed for your study.
  8. According to the Tip.it quest guide, there once was an "official" safe-spot that you can use to fight Damis but this has long since disappeared. Since Damis drains your prayer points incredibly fast, I highly advise that you do not fight Damis in his chamber. Instead, attack him and lure him into the hallway that leads into his chamber. If you're lucky, he'll follow you into the non-multi-combat area and you can Earth Blast him to your hearts content. Just remember to bring more Prayer potions than you think you'll need since you can't predict how effective your spells will be during the fight. This was the tactic that I used and it worked wonderfully. Good luck.
  9. So would farming become useful if you can grow flax? In my opinion, farming is an excellent skill that supports the needs of other skills such as cooking, crafting, herblore, fletching, woodcutting, firemaking and the three forms of combat. No skill is ever useless if you consider the synergetic relations between all the skills and how one skill can be used to further the training of another skill.
  10. Clues are still worth it to do. Yea in most cases they give you something like a magic shortbow, 50 natures, 13 sharks and a rune hatchet, but still. 3rd age are ridicilous rare, but it doesn't change the fact that other items got their values too. You may not come a billionaire from clues, but I still don't throw them away and heck, I'm richer than 99% of the other users on these boards. Although I'm not an avid Treasure Trailer, this is one way that Jagex can slowly inject a fresh crop of rare items into the game. They may one day create lvl-4 clue scrolls and make this a chance to get rare items of holidays past. :-k (But highly unlikely #-o )
  11. I keep my farming worry free by paying the nearby gardener to watch my plants and make use of My Arm's disease-free herb patch whenever I'm growning herbs. I admit, I'm not a "pro farmer" and I don't use a perfected farming route to gain a lot of farming exp in a short time but I do what I can and do what I need for farming. One improvement that I would like to see in farming is a way to get some seeds back from the plants that you harvest.
  12. The meanest thing I've ever done was just tell people my Friends List is full, which it isn't but how are they going to prove that, right? Now that I think about it, I should remove some people that rarely log on to make it shorter.
  13. Runecrafting. Even if you're a safe Runecrafter and you do not use the Abyss (like myself) you can make some decent coin if you think ahead and plan out a system. For example, runecraft Laws using the Hot Air Balloon (HAB) route to travel from Castle Wars and Entrana and then using Rings of Dueling to teleport from Entrana back to Castle Wars. A lot of people are already aware of this method and it's faster than using the Fairy Rings to make Natures. I can't really say how much faster is making Laws compared to Natures but it's less of a hassle in terms of travelling around.
  14. [/hide] I don't think those prayers would be good, first off, the Saradomin's / Zamorak's ones require much higher than the 15% ones we already have, which are better anyway, so they would be pointless after all. The Guthix prayer would be too powerful, unless it drained your prayer to 0 after the damage return. (or something similar, 50% back from damage you take is too much, 30-30 DDS K.O. anyone?) I'm not entirely sure of how the current prayers affects Strength, Attack and Defence but I believe it boosts the respective skill's effectiveness. I should clarify that my God Prayer suggestions boosts your current skill level by that percentage, much like the effects of a Super Set. For example, you have lvl-50 Strength and lvl-50 Attack and you use Saradomin's Might. You get a Strength level boost of 10% and a Attack level decrease of 5%. So, the Strength level boost of 10% for lvl-50 Strength is 5 so your max Strength level becomes lvl-55 for the duration of the Prayer. Attach level decrease of 5% for lvl-50 Attack is 2.5, rounding up to 3, so your max Attack level becomes lvl-47 for the duration of the Prayer. This can be an alternative to using potions, albeit a poor alternative. I hope that clarifies my idea. Guthix's Recoil can remain 50% of the damage received returns to the attacker in addition to each point recoiled to your attacker, you are drained 2 Prayer points. For example, your attacker deals you 20pts of damage. The recoil damage is 10pts, thus your Prayer is drained by 20pts. The recoil damage is also dependent on you current Prayer points. If you only have 16 Prayer points, you'll only recoil 8pts back to your attacker instead of the full 10pts even though you were dealt 20pts of damage.
  15. Don't worry. Use the available quest guide, get a large pile of prayer pots and you'll get through the quest.
  16. "Endure. Endure and grow stronger." - Dak'kon; Planescape: Torment Of all the RPGs that I've played over the years, this is the most quote worthy saying from a playable character. If you've played Planescape: Torment then you know who's Dak'kon. Without going into too much detail with PS:T, I quote this because it is a very strong philosophical message that applies to real-life and life on RuneScape. If you want to achieve something and feel good about it, then you must work towards it and suffer through the pain and misery, sweat and tears, and your rewards will be much sweeter once you've obtained your goal. This could be getting good grades in school, buying your own car/house/gadget, courtship/dating, or anything else under the sun.
  17. During the Digsite quest, you could pan for Gold flakes that showed up as a stackable item in your inventory. I kept it and tried to smelt it at a furnace but it didn't do anything. Maybe, just maybe, we'll see some use for these miscellanious items. Maybe we'll uncover armor and weapon pieces to smith and/or craft together into something usable. :-k
  18. I'm a saver and a spender. I save up money so that I can spend it on resources such as pure essence to make Law runes. Then I sell the Law runes and save the profit to further my skilling needs. I suppose I'd more accurately describe myself as an "investor"; investing in resources for my skilling.
  19. I'll probably never quit RS because I'm too cheap to buy a console machine for gaming nor a new computer just so I have a new graphics card to play the latest game. On occassion, I still play the old-school-styled point-and-click adventure games from Adventure Games Studio (http://www.bigbluecup.com) which are all games made by very talented people but are non-professionals in the sense that they are not creating games for a living. (that's one huge sentence!) So, since RS is one of the few games that are well developed and have very low system requirements to run decently, I don't think I'll be switching away from it any time soon. If I ever do quit, I'll donate all my member stuff to friends and move back onto the free-worlds, as frightening a thought that may be to me. (:ohnoes: free-worlds and the horde of noobs)
  20. The Marim dungeon that you had to enter to get to Zooknock to make your Greegrees.
  21. If your wrist doesn't hurt, then good for you! You can play to your heart's content. If your wrist hurts, then you should stop playing for a while. Use your common sense, please!
  22. Here's my ideas for God Prayers as alternative prayers: Saradomin's Might (Lvl-70) - Boost your strength level by 10% - Decrease your attack level by 5% Zamorak's Fury (Lvl-70) - Boost your attack level by 10% - Decrease your strength level by 5% Guthix's Recoil (Lvl-70) - 50% of the damage received returns to the attacker (similar to the Ring of Recoil effect). Returned damage is rounded up. NOTE: If the attacker happens to also have Guthix's Recoil activated, the damage returned to them will NOT be halved and fired back to their target. The boosts and decrease in skill levels could be percentages but if that's too powerful, I think boost by a fixed level should be fine. You'll also need to wear a Holy Symbol or Unholy Symbol to activate the prayers. Guthix's Recoil works with either Symbol.
  23. I look up people's stats on hiscores anyways especially when I was fishing in Catherby. Some person would claim to have some such level in a particular spell. I'd look them up. If they were telling the truth, I won't say anything. If they were lying, I'd burst their bubble. The other players would have a good laugh and the poor sod would run off or log.
  24. If we have God Spells for Magic, then we should have God Prayers as well. It could be unlocked through a quest or mini-game just like the God Spells.
  25. Hopefully they don't release a fix for that glitch too soon.
