Grand Exchange - Money-Making Items
nice guide, only problem is that there are tons of people buying, and almost no one selling, so it will nearly be impossible to ever get the 1k, but its something to have going at all times. Maybe add some other ways to make money using the exchange?

Metal Dragon Profit Calculator (V 1.1 NOW OUT!)
Changed a few of the cells that should have been locked, so now it should only allow data to be entered in the cells made for data.

OMG Jagex - i declare you stupid
Nice ideas, but most have a few flaws... +1 Jagex would never do anything so extreme, and risk harming legit players. Most of your ideas are simply thrown together which most people do when they are angry at a certain thing in a game.

Summoning - How Are You Preparing?
Well i personally am slightly conserving my cash, so i can get a quick jump on the materials before they skyrocket.

Suggestions for Shey the Slave :D
I vote Romeo and Juliet, that would be hilarious. Not to mention in Runescape, you can shave your head, and be bald for years, and then magically go to a "shop" and get a full head of hair. Or just spend 15 min bald, and grow your hair back then.

What would happend if Jagex increase combat level cap?
There are so many things that could go wrong, its just not worth changing much. I can see them changing it back when the game came out when not many people were as high lv'ed as today, but its just simply impossible to change now.

Our Worst Fear May Come True Very Soon!!
Very simple, just as with last month's updates, they are making something to over ramp the update, and this time, taking away piles could be changed with the minigames that seem wild-based, as well as the new clan wars witch could possibly make it so jagex makes it disappear somewhat. But then you have to think, Jagex has always been un-predictable, so i could be completely wrong. we will just have to see.

Fire Cape!!! AGAIN! -- I gots it back!! -- <3
MAn, im sorry to hear that. Its really unfortunate. And usually fire cape doesn't protect over a ton of stuff. Fury and barrows gloves both protect over it, and mostly every barrows item, whips, and other also, not to mention its "game" value is only like 30k+ so alot of stuff protects over it. Once again, I really hope you can get some luck in the time being, and hopefully re-claim your cape. I got it on my 3rd attempt, and hopefully do not lose it every, although, you can never say never. Best of luck

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
Super lag glitch happened awhile ago, and i had to logg out to solve it.

Bone bolts finally changed?
it may have changed, but i was down at metal drags today, and i saw quite a few people using bone bolts on the dragons. although they weren't hitting every hit, (they had ranging from 87-99 range) they were hitting still quite high. if they changed anything, it must not be as noticeable as the damage. Did you check to see if the actual xp per damage had decreased?
-
future skills menu interface?
yes, ive seen countless people say that this would really solve the space problem, and i would also agree to it being set like this. If not, Jagex could always add another column, or shrink the tabs even more.

The Keris guide ~On your way to hit 100+~
Question for ya. I saw all these crazy hits, and was wondering, could me and my friend use the keris on the KQ? Just to know if it would be more/less effective than the DDS specs.

Metal Dragon Profit Calculator (V 1.1 NOW OUT!)
Need Requests for New Calculators to Make! Feedback is appreciated- and without it, i wouldn't have made V1.1 Thank you for pointing out some big problems with the Calculator, it should be completely operational now! This Calculator uses Excel to Calculate the Monster Drops, So if you don't have Excel, seek for a possible Trial here Metal Dragon Calculator Version 1.0 Metal Dragon Calculator Version 1.1 [hide=Reademe (included in pack)] 100kill and 1000kill Metal dragon profit calculators are made by Hatebringer, and should not be distributed, unless it is in the original .rar package. Original download site: Created December 02, 2007 Files included should be as follows: 100kill Metal dragon profit calculator-MadebyHatebringer excel spreadsheet 1000kill Metal dragon profit calculator-MadebyHatebringer excel spreadsheet Readme.txt file How to use ________________________________________________________ First, you should set up, and get ready to kill some metal dragons. Remeber that this calculator only works using Magic slaying, although it can be used to simply track your kills, although it will not subtract any costs used, like prayer pots or super sets, but does track anti fires used, and runes spent added into calculation. Now, to use the calculator, locate the TYPE heading, and type in what kind of dragon you are killing, then after killing, type in the drop you recieve in the DROP catergory. After this, locate the AMOUNT catergory directly to the left of the drop, and enter how many you recieved. This is more so for the multiples (bolts, runes etc.) but for the calculations to be complete, you must enter how many for everything you get. So for example, if you get a Draconic Visage, you would put a 1 in the amount column, and for runes, like bloods, you would put exactly how many you recieved. Here is a small example # | Type | Drop | Amount | Value of Drop | __________________________________________ 12 iron coins 3000 3000 It is very important to not enter anything into the "Value of Drop" column, as this will mess up the calculations. I have locked the cells in this column for this reason. After you have killed how every many dragons you wish, head to the very bottom of the spreadsheet. There you will find a small section that is for the amount of chaos or death runes you used. enter the numbers in, and place a 0 if you used none of the shown runes. There is also a section for you to add how many Antifire doses you used. Be careful that this is made for the doses used, not actual pots, because some people may use 4 dose pots, and others may use 3 dose pots. After that, its pretty easy. Your profit will be shown on the bottom section and you can gloat how much money you made in a trip =) VERSION HISTORY ________________________________________________________ V 1.0 Original Version. Most basic of the current Versions. V 1.1 -In version 1.0, There was a major bug where the calculator in the 1000 kill log was not calculating past Row 103, and was simply due to a missing 0 in the equation. -Another change was made to the bottom of the 1000 log to make it more similar to its counterpart 100 log. -Changes were made to the Total drop sheet to make pictures blend with background. -Added (small) comments to the dragons on the Total Drop sheet. -Added a link to Tip.it/Runescape thread about the calculators. So you can easily check for newer versions if available. -Slightly widened some columns as some data was getting out of the cells, and blending with other cells which could get in the way. F.A.Q _________________________________________________________ 1. I can't type anythign in a particular cell. How come? A. Some cells are made so you cannot change the formulas. if you are experienced enough will excel to know what you are doing, go to Tools>Protection>Un-protect sheet to allow you to enter information in a cell. Use at your own risk. 2. A cell that should be open is locked! Whats going on? A. As this is my first version, there may be a few bugs, or changes that can be made To un-lock, go to Tools>Protection>Un-protect sheet, then click on the cell(s) that should not be locked, and go to Format>cells, and click on the tab "protection" Uncheck the box, and then go back to Tools>Protection>protect sheet. 3. X could be better if it was like this. A. Then Please! tell me about it! I need all the feedback i can get about my calculators to make them as great as possible. As well as this, please inform me of any glitches that you may have by Pm'ing me on Tip.it/runescape. My username, as you guessed, is Hatebringer. Credits ____________________________________________________________ I'd like to thank Tip.it for the drop list and pictures used in my calculator, and my Brother for helping me to research prices on the forums, GE, and W2. Thank you for Downloading, and post you opinions on my thread on tip.it [/hide] I've tested it already, and it seems to work just fine. It included an edit-able price list for every, and all drops, and includes pictures and an entire drop list of everything each type of metal dragon drops. [hide=Examples of calculator] here is the main page, where you enter your drops, and how many Here is a picture showing the updated "total drops" Sheet [/hide] Notice that i did not include Bronze dragons into this, as most people only kill the iron and Steel ones, but if people really feel strongly that I should add it in, then i will add in the drops from Bronze dragons as well. Another note that this calculator is made for only metal dragon slaying using death or chaos rune based killing, although i originally wanted to make a ranging part as well, but the chance of bolts/arrows being picked up, destroyed during combat etc. made a large part for error, and lots more information needed to be entered. This may be an obvious thing, but for multiples, such as runes and arrows, you must enter the singular form of the drop (i.e. Blood rune) but then enter the amount on the Amount column. It is also necessary to enter the amount of other items besides stackables. So if you received a dragon Plate legs drop, you would need to enter a 1 in the amount column for the equation to go through. In the .zip file, you will find a 100 dragon log as well as a 1000 dragon log, so if you are just doing a small trip, or going for 99 magic using steels and irons, then you can easily trace your profit/loss and your progress. A readme is also included in the file if you didn't read all this, or want a slightly more detailed instructions or a F.A.Q Also, as this is the first version of my calc, there may be bugs or glitches with some calculations, and if you find any, please inform me my Pm'ing me (Hatebringer) on the Tip.it forums. here is the link for the latest version: http://rapidshare.com/files/73910556/Me ... n_Calc.zip Hope you Enjoy :

I Have the Right to Remain Silent
Very true, i sometimes stay concentrated to the game while doing some boring things like wcing and fishing if there are many people around to keep my self "looking-human" because you never know when one of them will ask a "fishing lv?" or "what you guys doin?" or something else along those lines. really its just a nuisance. I do agree though that many players go around with the sole intent of getting some one banned due to macroing or auto-doing something.

Any items on the GE you just stop selling?
im gonna stop selling my dds soon, i have had 50 dds sitting in the GE for almost a week, and haven't sold a single one, so il probably just sell them slowly at edge or duel arena.

Interesting bug
i thought they fixed that bug? Same thing happened to me on the day that barb training came out, but i was hovering over the main room. Might want to report to Jagex

2007 - Updates have made a big money Loss.
-.- there are better ways tot stop them rather than changing in-game material. doing so just goes to show you that jagex can not detect RWT's as easily as they say they can. So they are just removing any trace of high money transfers in the game.
-
A rollback/reset? :o
It actually was 06/07/06 but i get what your saying. a rewind in-game has happened before, but doing a large scale one, especially for something not extremely huge would not be great. I say, if its necessary, then do it.

Why don't we have a sky render?
Its definitely a possibility, just as all other updates that would help to the benefit of Runescape. A sky update would be pretty nice if you think about it, since Runescape's current "sky" is pitch black, so maybe just change the color, or adding a sky render would help out the graphic improvement to the game.

Has the Grand Exchange really Killed Merchanting?
Actually, you put a very good point, which i haven't thought off before. This comes true as every day, the prices fluctuate, and cane go up or down. And you are also right on another part, the Ge will definitely bring a new form of merchanting to RS, and people will just have to adopt to it.

?ÃÆââ¬Å¡ÃâÃ¿?ÃÆââ¬Å¡ÃâÃ¿?ÃÆââ¬Å¡ÃâÃ¿ Why Jagex Killed Staking ?ÃÆââ¬Å
Well i say its well written, but it is very hard to know how many people actually took part in these "casino type RS playings" and i doubt more than 10% of all stakers (and i might be over exaggerating this) ever did anything like that.

Has the Grand Exchange really Killed Merchanting?
PLEASE KEEP BUMPED, I HAVE CLASSES IN THE EARLY MORNING, SO I MUST SLEEP NOW. #-o Well i know most of you will look at this and say YES! MERCHANTING IS DEAD!!! But think for a second. Jagex released a buying and selling mechanic into the game that allows players to sell across all servers nearly instantly, but also installed a controlling element, Price Caps. Most people will agree that they still disagree on the whole idea, as prices have been falling constantly since its release, but is it due to the price caps? One of the major opportunities that I found nearly when everyone else did was the Onyx Gem profit. Some of you may have noticed the fall of fury amulets from 3.8 to 3.4 in just a day from about Wednesday to today. Well this was not due to the caps, but to merchants taking advantage of the prices in the GE. players supplied a very key element to make furys, supplies that could be sold for tokkul. simply stated, chaos runes. The price caps limited chaos runes to 107-120g for 2 days, and merchants jumped on it. I even jumped on. Buying enough chaos for a fury at an easy 3.1-3.2M and then selling them to the shop, along with the "sell 50" added was all to easy. Onyx were being sold into the game very quickly, that the demand for this item literally disappeared. Selling for an easy 3.7m on the forums, people could make 2-3 furys in an hour, and make very easy profit. Slowly the demand faded away, and merchants began to sell on the GE, decreasing prices. Just going on the RSOF crafting section, you will undoubtedly find at least 4-5 people on the first page selling furys on onyx gems for very low amounts compared to a few days ago.. Now, this doesn't prove that merchants still exist. Its no longer as simple as standing in a crowded world, buying an object for low, and selling for high, and not saying that that method doesn't exist, because it does, but I'm only saying that the GE opens lots of doors that force many players to sell for less and less, and sometimes selling for a bit under for players to make a quick buck. As well as all this, many players dislike the GE, and stick to the "original" way to buy and sell items, going to trade worlds, such as W2, and using the forums. This made two separate, and very different trading options. One where you can forfeit low buys for simplicity, and one where you can buy for lower, but wait longer. This also made a very good choice for merchants, able to buy their supplies on the forums, and sell quickly on the GE for good Profit. This has since slowed down for now, but yousee nearly the opposite, forums being used to sell high, and the GE being a cheap, quick way to sell most items. Just looking at some of the GE prices show how much has changed in the economy. the mostly unchanged items are there due to low stock, and the players never wanting to buy for any more than the lowest value allowed, continuously dragging prices lower and lower. I know eventually they will stop, as the profit will be to low, and supply will drop, but as of now, just going into the GE, i can easily buy and sell using only the forums and the GE to merchant very quickly. and still make a decent, although slightly less-than-before-GE merchanted amount in an hour. What do you think?

first iron drag drop
very nice, im still yet to get my first drop there
