Actually, it is a very good idea, and if it could be trusted with the money, it could be a working solution, but personally, i wouldn't trust ANYONE with a 100m+ stake, which is why there would never be a true solution to the 3k cap.

No. What gave you that idea :?? Well, when you say that bots would simply pour items into to increase the player price, but if they put a cap on from keeping players from doing this, don't you think they would put a cap from keeping the price go too low as well? The price would be so clustered it wouldn't move enough to really be called inflation, it would simply slowly increase in value. You say that the prices could be manipulated very highly for items that could possibly be used for scams, and Jagex may put in a cap, or some other thing that would keep from over pricing. I can understand that, but im saying that if Jagex says what something can and cannot be in price, and using "player pricing" be a step towards controlling the influx of prices? Now i agree, that over pricing in the GE could cause scams, but there can be no clear cut solution, without the market's stability retaining its integrity. as you have seen already, the prices for rares have dropped drastically, and this is before the GE, which supposed to be the "merchant killer" but so far, rares have crashed a good 5m for lowers and 30m+ for phats and the GE isn't even out yet.

Yes, unfortunately, Achievement diaries are P2P only, and they require members skills to complete, and you must complete the entire diary to gain access to the bank in their, so im guessing no.

So basically, your saying that the inflation of rares will stop if they add this? If the player prices stay steady with the Grand Exchange, i think there will be a bigger rant than the one now and the PC riots all combined. Stakers and Pc'ers weren't a huge part of the RS population, but many high leveled players have rares, and if the price suddenly stables out, not moving, and decreasing, I wouldn't be very happy either. I hope its just post your price, and no stable price.

I personally use the ignore list to keep track of certain things, like my KQ kill count. Only used it once, and that was way in the beginning on my RS career.

its just about 8k, if not 8k already in the RSOF rants. i think plenty of people aren't very happy, but ya know what? i hope they DON'T change it back. It is helpful from keeping Gold farmers from transferring their money to buyers. It is unfortunate, but necessary.

Its Jagex's way to correct changes in the game that have bigger bad effects than good.

I used to be a big time player, spending most of my day on RS, always talking about it, not so much any more though, its kinda slowed down a bit, I don't think about playing RS so much, and focus more on school and friends.

Sorry its sorta long, but i kinda kept coming up with things as i wrote. Think about it, Staking was bringing tons of money into the hands of certain people who then were investing into phats, and other rares, and having huge net worth, and basically every single point of gold that was coming into the game is staying in the game, and only leaving through shops (hardly any), dropping money, or dieing with money, with no one around to get it, or by construction. So think about it, and easy/cheap way to get 99 construction can cost under 50m, and if you only want the 99, then thats it, so thats not even a fraction of a staker's ( good staker) wealth, and they possibly could have won that amount of money in 1-2 duels, which could have lasted less than 5 min. Thats what i think Jagex is trying to do. They are trying to have the people with all the money not be able to control the prices, and they also plan on taking out forms of money making that have developed by players. Originally, Dueling was to be a fun activity that players could prove their strength by fighting without the threat of losing their items in the wild, and maybe betting a bit on the side, but once staking took off as a money maker, staking was a way to lose more money in a single duel lose than 100 deaths in the wild. Jagex never intended it to be this way, as well as merchanting, they never intended it to be part of the game, so they are attempting to stabilize the market with the GE, and I think it may slow inflation/deflation by a TON. So Jagex, in my opinion, is simply trying to fix things that they never wanted in their game, and yes, let me repeat it.. THEIR GAME Thats what most people seem to forget. Jagex made this game, they own this game, and they can do whatever they feel to do with it. As you have seen with the PC riot, it never got changed back, and if they change this back I would certainly be surprised. I am mad at the update, and I would personally love to see the update to be changed back to limitless staking, but staking was a way to transfer stolen money without ever really trading. So, think of this more of a fight against Gold Farmers, and not an attack on the players. Jagex wants to please it's players, but they must do whats best for the game in its entirety. So yes, i am mad at a the update a bit, but I will never join in a riot over a virtual change in a game that can be changed however its creators want it to be changed.

Little off-topic? lol well anyways, back in RSC, i don't think there was any limit to the number of characters in a username, so single character names like X and D were able to be made. Now there is a limit, but if you happened to play back then, you could have made an account with a similar 1 digit name.

I personally like rounded strengths, but with strength overall being higher. Defence is so widely ridiculed by Pures that most don't understand that you get hit less, and can win sometimes. My pure, (which never really got started) was intended to have 70 def, 40 atk, and 40 str, with increasing hp and def.

i hate the tournaments, i actually thought it was gonna be fun... go in, wait for 8 minutes, get into the first round, my opponent is lv 119, im 102, i obviously get owned. I probably won't be going baCK there anytime soon. Its too unbalanced, and not to mention, the money is trash. I may go back just to get myself ranked when it dies down in a few weeks, but for now, i'd rather rc, and play CW, that is WAY better than some dumb touny thing :D Cw Po0wNaGe!

if this all stays, you wont be seeing any big stake pictures any more. and, the Grand exchange has nothing to do whatsoever with the duel arena, and it will destroy another thing.. merchanting. So, alot of people will be in the rants selection of the RSOF and don't expect it to end anytime soon.

Holy hell. Even I, not being a stacker, would ahve to say this is hoorible. I highly doubt, and hope, it will last....... :shock: you hope it will last? I actually ranted about this in the RSOF, it kinda kills many markets other than the actual staking if you think about it. I expect alot of prices to rise up, but i REALLY don't want this 3k cap per 15 min(wtf were they thinking??) to stay. I love most of the updates Jagex comes up with, and the tournaments could use a bit of work with glitches and all, but seriously, the 3k cap made me stop reading the update and post a rant.

Yeah, maybe try your hand at getting d boots for a day or two when you hit 83, but go for 85, d boots have dropped a ton, and possibly aren't worth camping there for boots anymore.

lol, but ya know, after transferring all the money, its kinda pointless really, just keep it on your main file, and use it to help that account, don't waste it on a account that most end up dropping.

To make planks, i think would be the ballons from CW to the Lumberyard. It is way faster than walking from Varrock, but you need 1 normal log per trip, and lots of Dueling rings. To make Oak larders, i think the fastest way is to have the noted planks in your invent, then use em on the butler, and once you get an invent begin getting another invent, so when you run out of planks, just talk with him once, and you already have the next invent, so you don't have to wait much. Then just ask for another invent, and start building.
