cannons are just a waste of money, and unless the cannon balls hit 30 every time, then you might aswell drop millions of coins on the ground, cuz it wastes money. You can use the cannon there to stay on topic, but the balls almost always will hit 0s.

I would totally give up weekly updates, and when that year was up, they better have made something good that makes me want to play, or else i would quit right there. BUT... if they skimped the updates every week down to once or twice a month, then came up with huge 6 month or 1 year updates, I would really enjoy that. I really only play Castlewars or level my combat/magic now anyways, never been a big fan of skills.

What is the point in debating a poorly chosen topic? even if the topic is bad, you should at least put some reasoning behind your answers, or then its not considered a debate, just a rant

those stupid macros completely ruined the rune market. it is impossible to sell any chaos for more than 120eac..... I hate them so much, and if i could, ice blitz every single one

~~Newer Bank Of Runescape~~ **Updated again 05/15/09**
hatebringer replied to Thagern's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
hmm its been quite a long time, yet this bank is not in effect..... WHATS UP JAGex?!?! I still support this fully -
I like that, and completely agree. These fourms are great, one reason i stay active in Runescape, and there is no real problem with them, except the random lag that sometimes happens, but there hasn't been much since that last big lag that had the fourms slowed for an entire day.

They will come out in +/- 148 days, and each off number represents 5 years, so i think my guess is really close  For real though, i think they will come out in the nesxt year, because if there isn't more high level updates (kudos for the mith dragons JAGex), more high levels will get bored with Runescape, and decide that they don't feel like playing. Take my word for it. In the next year or so, or never at all.... Just like the supposed summoning. Haven't seen anything about it since '04

well, technically if you meant middle as entire RS, then yes i agree, but most likely the reason is the location of the magick's origins, and since lunar is far north west, and ancients are far south east the magic spells only teleport to where they thought would be the best spots. and since normal magic has been around for much longer (not really, kind of just known to people for longer) they cover the majority of runescape, and have teleport access to every area.

I personally think that natures are used more, because most people who train magic would rather sit in one area and alch, and be able to talk to people in the process, like a bank, rather than constantly Camelot teleport, and only be able to talk when the stop teleporting. Natures by far

I listen to heavy rock for boring skills, so i don't fall asleep, like fishing and for other time consuming tasks I listen to Alternative Rock, and if I pked i would listen to heavy metal. Basically, i listen to heavy metal for everything anyways, so... yeah

Finally got my mage level!
hatebringer replied to Hitzy's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
ooo very nice, and the exact way im getting my 94 mage, except im doing it all at mta. and i agree, it is much faster than alching. GL in the future, making noobs into ice cubes :XD: -
I say NO. all those new players would have an equal chance, but the older players who have spent years of time getting the skills they have would be very upset if it all disappeared in one fell swoop. and not to name names, but what do you think the people with all 99s would have to say about this. Personally, i would quit were this to happen

hmmm, i thought this was debate club, but all i see are one sentence answers. :-s Anyways, on to the purposal at hand, slayer dart - give slayer xp or not. Well, since slayer is probably one of the most difficult skills to train, i can see where you stand. I remember when i got 55, and then i though, man, that was tough. Well, it should be. Many people use slayer dart not just for slayer, but for barrows, DK trips, metal dragon hunting, and many other various tasks. This would give them many thousands of slayer experience, and not even have to go to a slayer master at all, completely defeating the purpose of slayer. So, here is a quick example. Player A gets 55 slayer, but wants 85-90 for some obvious reasons. Player A reads that slayer dart gives slayer xp, and wants to train slayer with this. he buys up enough runes for 500 casts of slayer dart, and heads to barrows. using the chest runs, Player A is able to recycle the runes in the chest, and continue gaining slayer xp, while getting rich off barrows drops. Even at 1 xp per damage, this would be bad. it would be just like hp leveling, and people don't hit only ones with slayer dart. they hit up to 19s with it, so that is possible 19 exp per cast, which 500 casts could possibly be almost 10k slayer xp. The Main reason this can't happen is because slayer is about going to slayer masters to train it with tasks. If slayer dart gave slayer xp, it would just be another secondary skill, and would level as you are doing random things, like the things i mentioned above.

a comat lv 65 training on lv 100+ monsters... i see something wrong with that picture. If you want to level up, train on something better suited to your level. If your lv 65, or want to get to 65, train on guards or skeletons. they have good hp, and if you dont care about drops, as you say nothing about monster drops, then you could train here until 70+. And take this into consideration. Im cb lv 98, and up until cb 90, the only high lv creatures i had ever fought were the monsters i had fought were the boss monsters in Desert Treasure, and some other high level quest monsters. never once did i train on lv 100+. There are plenty of good hp monsters in f2p. Hill giants Moss giants, skeletons, guards, al kahrid warriors, scorpions. and many of those are usually empty, other than mossies and hills. Personally, i don't see any reason to add any creatures to f2p.

Double 29's
hatebringer replied to Richy2k0's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
GRATZ! double 29s are tough to hit, ive only ever hit double 28s, and that was with 15% str pray. GL on those double 30s, and obviously you will get it... eventually. Oh, and can i say 1st post ftw? lol Congrats, and keep those high numbers up. -
WOAH! wtf are you talking about?? Even if Full dragon is released with plate+kite, barrows will always be 100% effective, and will NOT defeat the purpose. Dragon could have +1000 def bonuses, but people would still have barrows, because they are better. Why? Set effects. who would wear full dragon at the fight caves? uhhh no one. they either wear guthans, so they can heal w/o loads of food, or veracs for added melee def bonuses. Barrows is not for looks, its for efficiency. But if they did release a d pl8, then what would the point of the kalphite queen be? One question i need answered.

i think the worst for me was when i lagged at jad, and i had him past half health and all healers on me. You know i wasn't very happy.

for your thieving, i suggest doing cake stalls, and silk stalls till you reach about 45-50, then switch over to guards for the remainder of the levels. This is because pyramid plunder isn't very good till 61+ theiving, as for agility, personally, the barbarian course works best until 44, simply because until then you need to take to long paths in the brimhaven course

it took me 6000 tickets to get rune from iron, so it must be random I'd say get a few thousand, than wear a wealth, and keep trying

Going f2p for a week, need merchanting help
hatebringer replied to hatebringer's topic in Help and Advice
stfu dude dont be a noob.. i know what im talking about.. your the one who knows nothing and probaly is poor. what are your ideas? another way is to collect unids and sell 1k ea or farm rannars with super compost and use magic shears umm, f2p lol, there is no herbs there, and please don't spam my thread, im trying to get help, not start a flame war... yet : jk mods but thanks for the help -
Well, my dad hasn't paid for my members yet, and he already told me he isn't planning to for a week, so im stuck as a f2p for awhile, so i decided i would try my hand at merchanting. If anyone has any good methods or certain items that are good for merchanting, that would be great. I have 8m, along with a santa, and i was hoping on having 10m+ when i get members again. if you could post the item, and the prices to buy and sell at that would be great, but just item suggestions are greatly needed. Thanks

I'm currently 90 magic, and thats where I'm getting 99 magic, but yes, it does cost a big chunk of money. almost 8m to get to 94 from 87, and i estimate another 6-7m to get to 99, but that is far off. it also suits the cost, as you get free blood and death runes, and i will probably end up with 4k+ of death and blood when i have gotten 99 magic. It is also faster than alching, but only slightly, but with less people there, you don't have many noobs asking the o too common question of "mage lv?" personally, it is my favorite way to level magic. But..., i wouldn't suggest it until you can use the lv 6 onyx enchant, because the money you will spend will be much higher than the payoff of exp that you get for the lower spells. you also get 3/4ths exp for each encahnt in the chamber, so if you do plan on using this method, make sure you have bought the correct amount. Here is a calculator, compliments of tip.it, simply use the scroll bar, and choose the Mage Training Arena from the drop down list. that gives the xp for each enchant Hope this helps :

i agree, the green dragons probably killed tons of people while i was down there, and they are useless to kill. i would rather go to the green dragon pit, and kill them there where it takes far less to kill them, and you can get those two hides 10x faster than killing a single brutal. I also would rather face pkers than those brutal dragons, since they are the real only threat to dragon slayers in the wild.. then tele to edge, and be back slaying dragons within minutes of banking

yeah, chances are that when you plant something at the minimum lv, you will have a better chance of them turning out dead than at higher levels
