Also you could try resetting the Jagex cache, go digging around on your C drive and find a folder labeled something to do with RuneScape or Jagex (might be hidden, check the root of your drive, the Windows folder, then the system32 folder) then delete all of it. DON'T DELETE ANYTHING ELSE!! But I think you already knew that. I had the same problem when I upgraded my graphics card from a Radeon X300 to the Radeon 4670, and that solved it for some reason.

Firefox would be the perfect browser, except that memory leak which has NEVER been truly fixed (over time FF's memory usage climbs to unreasonable amounts, even with only 1 tab open). They're so concentrated on Acid3 tests at the moment that getting them to fix it will take another few years... But on topic, IE8 is best for the average user. It works, and most people don't even know what memory leaks, acid tests, or web standards are anyway... If anyone is still on IE6 and has the ability to upgrade, force them to, it's got more holes than Swiss Cheese (which is actually quite delicious, but that's not the point). Personally, I'd stay completely with IE if it had a better password manager system, but it doesn't, so I'm on Firefox 3.5.3.

Also, make sure no matter what you buy doesn't have any preinstalled anti-virus, it gets so embedded into your system that if you no longer want it... good luck getting rid of it. McAfee especially, it can destroy your registry and basically drive you to reformat. Nothing against the big anti-virus companies, just when they're preloaded.

Buying a skill isn't that bad considering that at one point that money had to be earned. Whether by luck or from other skills Unless of course you won all of it at a drop party, then brag endlessly about it. Then you can just stuff it up your... nevermind.

I play with all the graphics settings on max (got a new video card, so it's all like amazingly new to me :thumbsup: ) and surprisingly I only lag in the GE or crowded minigames like Soul Wars or Pest Control. Everywhere else is pretty smooth.

I remember the day RuneCrafting came out, I was so happy. Speculation over summoning and player-owned-houses, I can't believe I'm still playing. It amazing when you realize that what used to be pure speculation and myth is now a highly integrated part of the game, where you wonder what you ever did without it. I still wish I hadn't missed the rubber chickens, or that I wouldn't have just left the p-hats laying on the ground. Stupid mistakes that can't be corrected because they're in the past. Today's holiday event items will never be as highly revered as the old ones, everyone has them, nobody cares.

Well since Ozzy endorses WoW I guess we need to get Kiss, Alice Cooper, and Ronnie James Dio to endorse RuneScape.

Technically, getting 99 in a skill is (supposed to be) for the love of the skill. Tactical advantage sure... but thats not why the majority of players do it. There's nothing tactically advancing about 99 Construction or Firemaking, but guess which 2 skills just happen to be my favourites, and will also become my first 99s? Yeah, exactly.
