To say that RuneScape items are "just pixels" is something I have to agree with, but that's only how I value mine. If I really placed much worth on my RuneScape items, I'd probably make myself quit, because I don't view that as especially healthy. :lol:

I don't understand how anyone can be upset over this Easter event's reward. How many people will actually wield this thing in two weeks? Even if they do, can you imagine someone bragging about owning one?

Wrong. I've trained quite a bit in the new system and get through a full inventory and a tortoise with time to spare.

When I wanted to get 70 Range, I camped at Hill Giants from 60-70. They're not going to do much (hopefully any) damage, they spawn quickly enough, and drop big bones for low-level Prayer training.

Disclaimer: I do not have 85 Mining, and have never attempted to mine Runite. However, I've had many friends that do, and this is how they typically go about the activity. You'll want to wear dragonhide, if you can. If not, simply aim for the highest Magic defense stats you can obtain, as the spells are typically brutal. Pray against Range while running and hiding. In my Wilderness experiences, Revs will wait for you to return to a spot, so don't try to stick around for that final ore if you've been attacked on that world. Also, most people will go to the least crowded worlds to find Runite, since it would make sense that there are fewer people on that world to mine it. That's wrong. You want worlds with a middling population, and preferably at night.

Well, the armor is re-obtained as a drop. I have to assume that, as with any other drop, if you don't pick it up you won't get the chance later. I would say 'No,' because you've tried every conversational option and it seems unlikely in the first place.

You're viewing full maturity as a set level. Obviously this level will be different on everyone, so you can not be fully mature before you have fully developed your brain's frontal lobes, since those will continue to grow your maturity.

I should have been more specific. I meant you settle each fact one at a time, rather than the groups they're in now. That way, the same quotes won't be brought up so often (hopefully!), resolution comes more quickly. If this thread keeps going the way it has, soon your line might be: "No they can't." :lol:

In all honesty, I'd prefer the long thread that's easier to keep straight, but that's not my call here. Yes, that is my line. Every time I log on here, I mentally thank Ravennaka (whose name I'm likely butchering) for the publicity. :P

Hehe, I'm still working on usually wise, give me some more time. ;) I have a suggestion though, as this topic has expanded so rapidly with so little progress. Maybe some simplification, such as arguing single facts one at a time, is in order. It may be just me, but it looks like there are too many issues being discussed at once.

I would never buy a dark bow. I consider them to be awful weapons. Plus, if you want high hits, mithril arrows are not the proper choice. Even though you payed a lot for your toy, batteries to run it still aren't cheap.

Compfreak, I haven't said much recently on this thread, but if I had been my posts would've looked a lot like Zierro's. I've never seen you post in a situation where you were incorrect before, so perhaps this is merely a miscommunication between the two sides of the debate. Could you find a way to word your point where there is no question as to what you mean?

My opinion is that randoms are bloody fantastic. Each lamp I get is a trip and a half less through the Abyss to craft deaths, or I get snapdragons. Since a random event takes on average about twenty seconds, the reward is full of win.

Was that in the second or third week of RuneScape's existence? I feel obligated to train my skills if I'm on RuneScape, so I get my level as quickly as possible and go run off to find some friends. Efficiency allows you to "play the game," perhaps even more so than when DIY-ing. I got 99 Fletching because I love standing in banks for long periods of time. You make lots of friends. There were no skillcapes to show off your levels, so people couldn't aim for those. To say that players "back in the day" didn't give money a thought is ridiculous.

RuneScape is not a competition. You should be playing for fun, not to beat out everybody else. Just play honestly, and enjoy the game.
