  1. I'd say you'll be fine if you use Protect from Magic. take a prayer pot or two, a fair amount of food, and DDS it. If you don't want to do that, range it while using Protect from Magic.
  2. IMO, it's no worse than the DDS'ers hitting double 36's, or the Dark Bower's hitting double 28's.
  3. By the end of the year I hope to have at least 85 Slayer AND an actual skillcape (Quest cape isn't technically a skillcape :x). Most likely a combat-related skill, or Hunter. Hunting's fun. Ehehehe...
  4. I killed 100 just for fun (but it wasn't fun, believe me) and got a mask drop somewhere in there, but I've heard they are quite rare, and that I just got lucky \ If you have the money to spare, just buy a black mask. If you insist on fighting them, though, then yeah, try to find a balance of mage defense and melee attack.
  5. Dunno if this counts (lol) but i was playing CoD4 with my friend over a LAN connection, him sitting on the opposite side of a desk from me. I'm walking along, and it was one of those eerie ruined-town levels with all the corners (sorry, only ever played the game twice ) and I hear him snickering, and I'm thinking "Ohmygod, what horrible death does he have planned for me!?" And I start sweating really bad, and right when I'm about to die of suspense, this grenade explodes right in front of me. So I start shooting like a maniac in random directions, and when I finally stop, he snipes me in the head, and he's sitting there laughing his head off. (I get nervous and impatient really easy ) Also, anytime I'm facing a huge boss and I forgot to save beforehand. Which happens often.
  6. S'alright. Anybody else? Judging from google searches, I'm not the only one having this problem.
  7. No, that would be if the Wii remote were out of battery. I'm talking about the wireless guitar that comes with Rockband.
  8. Hey. I just got Rockband for my Wii for Christmas, and I was really excited. So I went and hooked it up at 9 in the morning, tried out drums (which I fail at by the way), then swapped to my good ol' guitar. It worked fine. Played guitar for a few songs, maybe 3-4 (approximately half an hour), then got off at about 9:30 to let my bro play his new games. I think I left the power switch in the "on" position when I left, however I can't be sure. Later on, my cousins came over to visit for a bit and they wanted to try it out. Again, the guitar worked fine. This was at about 2:30 (again, I think I left the power switch in the "on" position.) Eventually they left, and I went to play it at about 4:00. Got to the main screen and bam. The guitar wouldn't worked. I swapped out the batteries twice, and nothing was damaged at all. My problem is this: The USB wireless bit (not sure what it's called, but it's the part with the blue light that connects to the Wii itself) flashes blue as it is supposed to (I think, or is it not supposed to?) but the guitar won't connect at all. Somebody please help! I've tried the official website they give (http://support.ea.com/rockband), but it didn't give any relevant information whatsoever.
  9. Nope. I actually tried to create one once, and it failed miserably. So far, I have never been in a clan for my entire RS life.
  10. Firstly, I would hope I DON'T get banned. If I do, however, I'd give up RS for good. It's simply too addicting, and even the frustration of starting over with a brand new, level 3 account might not be enough to keep me away. =P~
  11. I've had it in he GE, min price for two days and nobody's buying (no big surprise). Does anybody know the street price, if there is one? Or is there just zero demand for it? Seriously, I'd be willing to sell it for 2.5-3m. HELP!
  12. Keep the pixels, return the cash. Seriously, my community has about 5k people max, and they will actually be looking around and asking around for the money. In Runescape, there are millions of players that change worlds every day, and normally accept their losses (painful as it may be.) With so many players, the chances of finding the owner of the items would be pretty hard. So in RS, it really comes down to "should I let this money disappear into the ether, so that nobody will gain from it, or should I keep it so that at least ONE person will gain from it?"
  13. Firemaking and Mining. In that order. Firemaking is obvious, everybody has been complaining about that for ages. I'll admit the beacons are cool, but not very useful in terms of everyday gaming. They could have the ability to burn towns once you reach level 99 firemaking... Mining for the same reasons everyone here is saying, there haven't been any good updates in forever (besides inferno adze, and what good does that do?)
  14. Internet Explorer, simply because I'm too lazy to download Firefox. *puts up flame-proof barrier and hides*
  15. Sorry if this has already been posted. RuneScape has been named the Number 5 top search in the Yahoo! top ten searches of 2008! It is, in fact, the ONLY 'game' (MMO and otherwise) on the list. Take that, World of Warcraft! "The multi-player role-playing game's international popularity rests on its cheap access, ability to run on older computers, and compelling play. Its underground success has even lead to a real black market, trading actual cash for RuneScape gold--and controversial restrictions to stop it. A new boss, graphics, and touted player-versus-player combat release signal the company's power play to step up in the RPG battle...and take hold at No. 5." It's very interesting that they mention the 'black market' (RWT), even after it has supposedly been eliminated. Does Yahoo! know something we don't? :| Discuss.
  16. Hairstyles are hawt, I've been meaning to change mine. It's interesting to note that Jagex seems to have abandoned their "Two-large-updates-per-month" motive, at least for December.
  17. Or maybe he was trying to get one last farming level before he died . Seriously, I'm more disappointed that Duradel dies. He was epic.
  18. I highly doubt the mod was told to do this by Jagex. He/she was prolly just being a kiss-up. "Z0mgz, I might get a promotion!!1"
  19. Explorer's Ring is the only ring that actually has any use in F2P. Even though it doesn't have very high combat stats, you can use the low-alchemy on some drops, and use the cabbage teleport to leave when you're done.
  20. Then yeah, I'd go with buying some cool piece of equipment. Or, if you really want to, save it for a DFS.
  21. Toast changed his sig. I'd get a Bandos plate or tassets, or spend it on your favorite skill and see how high you can get, or hoarde it and brag to your friends
  22. I have yet to do the quest (danged 59 Herblore makes my Quest Cape unwearable ) so I can't contribute to the "those bosses were uber-easy lol" discussion. On-Topic, however, the lowest I've seen was a level 98.
  23. I got my Quest Cape (unwearable atm ) because I love doing Quests. Seriously, my friends would always call me "Mr. Quest Addict" cause that's all I did. I like the title, and I show it off with pride. I've had people call me a 'noob' for wearing it, saying "Quest Cape is such a noobish cape, I could get it in a week." And I reply with "I'd like to see you try". Even if they can, so what? I didn't get it to be unique, I got it because I wanted to. Before the Grandmaster, you saw people wearing Quest Capes left and right, one in ten people, maybe even one in five wore one. Now, it's a bit more respectable (I think), and I'm kinda hoping that the people who wear it get more respect, but even if they didn't create this mega-quest, I'd wear my cape with pride. That's who I am, and I won't let anybody else affect that.
  24. You forgot about the Grandmaster :. It doesn't really matter what order you do them in. I would get the hard ones out of the way first though, like Mourning's End I and II. After that, just do them in any order you please (I'd do Brain Robbery right before While Guthix Sleeps, to save the best for almost last ;) It was a really great quest.)
