LMFAO. That's pretty epic. Jagex needs to change the PvP rules to not allow you to bank within the 10 second vulnerability window.

"Who wants to be my GF/BF" - Any of you?
Back when my character was a girl, I'd frequently get guys "hitting on me." Sometimes when I was bored, I'd play along with them for a few minutes, and then tell the truth "btw, I'm a guy irl ;)" Their reactions afterward were priceless. However, the best thing to do now that they made it against the rules to solicit relationships is to just report them and add to ignore.

27-May-10 Castle wars improvements
For the full set you need to wear the shield too, so you will only get that bonus with 1 handed weapons. CLS still WRECKS with it though, but the castle wars armor is simply just to little defense. Its excellent for flag hunting people outside your base, as combined with the CW-brace you can almost 1 hit someone with a DDS. But you'll need to bring normal armor too if you want to survive past the perimeter of the opponents base. The armor also lacks alot of accuracy (since you need to wear a shield) so its not perfect to use the entire game. Another thing I noticed is while holding a flag your def is shot to [cabbage]. While tanking in max melee and max mage-def gear + steel titan and praying, players hardly missed on me. I got dds'd from 800+ to 0 hp in one combat round. It appears if you are holding your flag, anyone attacking you has a 200%+ accuracy bonus on you, not including the bonuses for CW braces. So holding your own flag is VERY difficult unless you are pro at kiting and have a team of mages to help you. I think the fact losing flags on rocks now puts it to the side adds an interesting twist. The really isn't a safe way to horde your own flag anymore, which they did a good job with. You still have to work to get your flag back, but its a lot easier to do so. Jagex mentioned that they made a few tweaks to make it easier to kill players who were holding their own flags. I'd imagine this "200% accuracy boost" is due to that.

Dungeoneering: Beyond the Release
This is a big thing. Each person has considerably more power than the team... You can vote to kick out someone who is [bleep]ing around, but in the end you're just hurting yourselves because 5:5 dungeons are very unforgiving if you attempt to do them with 4 people.

Dungeoneering: Beyond the Release
What do you actually do with the higher prestige when you are 120 already? The anyone with half a brain statement implies that if you are more than 71 dungeoneering now, you've wasted atleast some of your time to, as i said, get ahead. Practically what you are implying is that soloing should give more xp in a skill meant not to be soloed, but doing so would destroy the skill as it is. Do you really not think that there is a balance between the hassle with teaming and the lower xp while soloing? The differance is significant, as i've said, but for the average player, it's not dramatic. All that i've implied on this thread is that the balance jagex no doubt mastered before the release is very well thought out. I've enjoyed the skill mostly because i can interact with other, strange people in a way unlike any other skill, if you don't like that aspect of it, you have the viable option of soloing or the unfathomable option of not training the skill. Skills should not require a team in order to get decent experience. You get over 50% less experience per hour by soloing F25-35 instead of doing 5:5 larges. An exp drop-off that steep is simply bad design. And ignoring a problem doesn't make it not a problem. "Solo or gtfo if you don't like it" doesn't solve anything, and suggesting that just invalidates your own argument. The reason teams get so much more exp is a combination of things: 1) You get a substantial exp modifier for choosing a large dungeon and for doing a 5:5 dungeon. You lose both of these solo. 2) More importantly, you lose MASSIVE prestige and floor exp because solo dungeons only have around 14-16 rooms to explore. I think that adding a solo bonus of 1.5% times the current floor you're on (added to the bar at the bottom as part of your exp modifier) would help bring soloing much closer to doing large teams. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be better than teaming, but it'd actually be a viable option for those who dislike teaming or don't have the time to do large dungeons.

Dungeoneering: Beyond the Release
Solo needs an exp bonus to bring the overall exp closer to teaming. Forcing people to team to train a skill is a bad idea, since eventually less and less people will train the skill and it'll become very difficult to find a team (and therefore train the skill with any efficiency).

Almost all inventory pics were butchered with the last update.

Probably an ex-staker. Also, YDIW. The fastest way to get FoG tokens is in F2P, since the majority of the people you play can be three-hit.

The death of dungeoneering?
And thus is the crucial flaw in this "skill." Either Jagex really are daft or they don't give a crap because if they actually understood their player-base, they would've realized that Dungeoneering would eventually suffer the same fate as Barbarian Assault and Mobilizing Armies. This skill has no tangible rewards outside of what you buy with tokens, so naturally, once most people get their first chaotic item, they abandon the skill. The same thing happened with the Fighter Torso and the Imbued Rings. Once the majority of people got the items they set out for, they quit, leaving behind only chaff. <_<

So how the hell are people still smuggling items out of dungeoneering? I thought Jagex fixed that.

Wow, so the KB was wrong about the chaotic staff, huh? So ranged really did get boned with the new skill. It sucks inside the dungeon and the reward is a joke, too.

Maul, Longsword or Rapier?
Just clarifying: Rapier has superior stab bonus to Longsword. No, it doesn't. Longsword has slightly higher stab bonus, but the rapier's speed makes it better. OT: The longsword isn't the best at anything, which is why I think it's the least valuable of the three weapons. The rapier is by far the best slaying weapon and it is the best weapon for killing dragons. The rapier is also arguably the best PKing weapon, since whips are often regarded as better than godswords due to their superior DPS and the rapier is much more powerful than a whip. The maul is also extremely effective when PKing, especially if you combine it with a granite maul for special attacks. The maul also excels at waterfiends, as mentioned, and at team bosses because of its high accuracy (you usually only get one or two attacks when anti-crashing at GWD, so you want it to be as high as possible). The maul is also the best normal melee weapon for TDs (provided you do not have a steel titan or ely/divine SS) due to their 300 damage limit prior to switching prayers. The long is way above average in all categories, but it's not "the best" at anything. In short, I'd recommend the rapier first and then the maul.

Herblore
Evil Stews from Recipe for Disaster. Go to Evil Dave's house and catch rats in the basement for brown spice. Add three to a stew and eat it until you get a +4 stew, then make Overloads.

Monkey Madness musing
MM and Summer's End are the only quests I've died on. And yes, that includes Nomad's Requiem ;)

Dungeoneering
I think 2hs are better than spears. 2hs have much higher attack stats and are only one speed slower than a spear. Their attack stats make a big difference on zombies and bosses.

12-Apr-2010 - Dungeoneering Skill!
Unfortunately, the hexhunter bow is the only slayer item that may be worth binding (before level 100).

Ah, the fruits of a week's worth of labor (and 95m cash). I stewed up to make 180 extreme strength and attack potions. That'll last me quite a while.

Holiday Musings and a permanent solution to rares
Contrary to popular belief, people don't buy rares for their looks. They buy them because they have a continuous upward trend. They will only EVER go up long-term. How would removing billions of GP from the economy (which are currently wrapped up in rares) help? If they made rares untradeable, many people would lose the shirts off their backs and there would be mass rioting like nothing we've ever seen except the 12/10 updates.

C rapier vs C longsword
All three can train strength. The rapier is whip speed. The longsword is, obviously, longsword speed (one bar slower than a whip). The maul is godsword/battleaxe speed, which is two bars slower than whip. A whip attacks every 2.4 seconds. (4 game ticks). The longsword attacks every 3 seconds (5 game ticks). The maul/godsword attacks every 3.6 seconds (6 game ticks).

C rapier vs C longsword
Yeah, it's really not that great. Everytime I'm in edge I see someone with a CLS, lol. I've fought CLS, but I have yet to fight a rapier (though watching Taco Limey pk with it a little bit, it seems pretty nice). Me and my friends on TeamSpeak always laugh whenever we see someone using a CLS. Though, it can do pretty well (I've seen Paulrat3 hitting some good numbers with it). However, it's more accurate than a godsword with a defender on. You get that shield option, and you get a stab option. But it has no spec, which causes problems. It's comparable to a gs with a little less str/att, 1 game tick faster, and 1 handed... but no spec. The reason vesta long got so many KO's was because of the spec, not regular hitting. I definitely agree with Rapier > Maul > CLS though, with the first 2 being changed based on preference. I was originally gonna get them in that order but my friend convinced me to get a maul so yeah xD. I'm glad I did because I can definitely pk with this lol. I've already dropped at least 80m with the maul in a few days in PvP/BH - one guy for claws+ahrims+whip and more, another for ahrims karils whip sol (which was absolutely hilarious) Rapier is awesome for slayer and pretty good for pking too -- not sure on bosses, but I've heard its good. CLS is good for bosses... not THAT great for pking. Maul is great for bosses and pking. Speaking of the Rapier on bosses, I'll have to ask Taco Limey how it does. Preferably make a vid of a solo trip - though hes only 75 def, he has a divine lol. Maybe see how fast kills go with a defender too :P If you're planning on doing Slayer, definitely get rapier first. If you do bosses/pking mainly, maul first. CLS... meh. I don't think I'd ever get this first. Ive seen the rapier in PKing, it's very powerful, perhaps moreso than the maul. It's definitely a LOT better for PKing than the CLS.

C rapier vs C longsword
Worse. The rapier is only slightly more accurate than a whip. You'd want a LS, at least.

C rapier vs C longsword
CLS for sara and DKs, since a shield really helps there. The range def from a DFS really helps against the spinolyps at DKs and Bree at Sara. Also, I know that the CLS is better for dragons because of the stab bonus... But a godsword wrecks them fairly well, too, so I envision the maul being almost as good as a CLS for irons/steels. I will have super antis soon, so I'm probably gonna go ahead and get the maul  For drags, Rapier would beat it because they're very weak to stab, so the faster you hit the better. For DK's, rapier would be better because Supreme's range attack shoots at the same speed as a rapier, which means you can floor click and time it so you can soul split. Also, you'll probably kill supreme pretty fast. Sara. Not sure at all. I'd imagine CLS. However, I usually range sara anyways unless we got like 3 or 4 people... but I usually duo, bring a weapon just incase we get crashed though. But I'm starting to have second thoughts on this whole CLS Rapier Maul debate. I mean, I was looking for a world to duo bandos in, and as we were pottin to go in some 138 with whip dfs overloads and goes in. Note I'm on normal pots... amazingly, I crashed him without a problem. And I didn't even bring a dwarven helm - helm of neitiznot instead. +195 crush bonus ripped it to pieces. The first kill I think I hit like 612, 431, 318 or something. The dwarven helm would have helped though - with a dwarven helm and an onyx ring (i), good luck to anyone wanting to crash if you have extremes. Also, for bandos, maul is great because it attacks at the same speed that bandos does, meaning you can flick Soul Split on it the whole time. In 2 hours of duoing bandos, my maul finally degraded from 100% to 96%. But yeah, that was just pure insanity lol. Being able to flick ss on the boss is pretty nice, and all you have to do is floor click until it swings and attack it. I might actually be getting into bandos solos now... seems like I'm gonna be getting a LOT of kills per trip with a maul. After my friend left I managed to solo 3 on 3 shark and a brew with uni out... mainly because I killed it so fast and ss'ed every hit. Also healed off minions too. Perhaps I'll make a vid on it some time today. After seeing the CLS in action, I'm of the firm opinion that, for general use: Rapier > Maul > CLS. The CLS is barely faster than a godsword and is less powerful and offers no prayer bonus. In a fight against someone with a whip, a CLS will still lose about 50% of the time. It's highly overrated. Btw, I got a target last night and was just wearing my maul and nothing else, watching fights. My target came up in full rune with a whip. I nearly killed him... with no armor.

the weapons seem to degrade per use, not due to being in combat. What do you mean?

C rapier vs C longsword
2 million for pure cash, 20k tokens and 200k for the mixture. Thank you. The mixed one was what I was looking for, as I could not find it anywhere. That is actually fairly reasonable for a 10-hour recharge. I think 10 hours is wrong, I've heard of 20+ hours; supposedly the KB is wrong. Almost everyone who has used one has said that it degrades much slower than that, yes. But keep in mind it's like barrows--- time IN COMBAT is all that counts. That's why barrows armor seems to last like 40 hours before it breaks.
