Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
Maul is very accurate at bosses and is an excellent weapon in PvP, especially when paired with veng or a granite maul.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
Yes. I have a friend who is 100+ dungeoneering, who bought a CLS, chaotic kite, farseer kite, and chaotic staff.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
Chaotic Staff does in fact give +20% magic damage, though.

Dungeoneering clans
People use you dungeoneering level as a measure of generally how reliable they can expect you to be. The higher your dungeoneering level, the more time you've put into the skill and therefore the more serious you are about training it... So generally, a level 85 or 90+ dungeoneering person is less likely to "ragequit" than a level 72 dungeoneering person. To answer your question, Sqx, you right that there are rarely enough players who aren't wrapped up in teams already to start a full team with just clan members. However, there are usually at least two or three people from the clan who need the same floors as you, so we just make a team of 3 clan members and then recruit two "randomers" from W117. As long as those randomers don't leave or AFK, the 3 clan members (most of whom also happen to be maxed or near-maxed skill totals) working together can still do the rest of the dungeon with efficiency.

Dungeoneering clans
They do exist, if you look hard enough. I'm in one, actually. The reqs are 90+ dung and 130+ combat. I'm only 86 dung, but they made an exception for me because I'm friends with a few of the members and I'm training at a good pace.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
I got a maul first (for TDs and bosses) and am getting a rapier second (for slayer).

Chaotic long
With 50 dungeoneering, it's going to be difficult. Using W117 is decent exp, but only if you are level 69+. And even then, more and more of the "pro teams" are requiring people to have 80+ dungeoneering, as a measure of your understanding of the skill and trust that you won't leave during the middle of a dungeon.

Chaotic Kiteshield > Divine Spirit Shield?
Nope. Divine is still better. The CKS only negates hits over 200, while the DSS negates damage from ALL hits. Also, a +3 prayer bonus is pretty substantial. Moreover, in any boss-killing situation other than TDs with overloads, you're much better off using a Yak or a Pony.

Rapier is not only the best weapon for slayer, but it is also the best weapon for strength training.

Resolution is too bad to tell much. Also, the user is in LS getting drops, so those could all be his friends just acting like bots.

Why is that a bad thing? He's a 75 defense "DFS/summoning pure".

Double Exp Weekend(s)
If they make another weekend, it needs to only affect specific skills. Fishing, mining, woodcutting, firemaking, runecrafting, slayer, agility, combat, magic, ranged. Some small things might be bought out, but overall limiting it to these skills will leave the market relatively unaffected. Having the last one affect herblore and summoning was a terrible idea, since these are the two most expensive skills in the game. I say that summoning is more expensive than prayer because of the additional time cost involved in gathering charms. The exp weekend should be helpful but not overpowered; allowing people to use it for extremely expensive skills breaks the game for everyone who can be on during it and puts everyone who didn't participate at a significant disadvantage.

falconry botters
Quoted for the truth it holds. You may be onto something. The fact that Jagex remodeled their front page to have a disney add for a while and aren't instant perma banning bots is a bad sign. Grasping at straws. Jagex doesn't have direct control over their ads. Also, Jagex has historically been shown as money-grubbing bastards. Everything they have done in the past and everything they do in the present looks out for the bottom line (money) first, and the customers' wants and needs second, even though if you look at their fiscal reports they are making ludicrous profits. As I just said, they never gave a damn about the bots in the past (when the amount of paying members was at an all-time high) until the creditors started putting pressure on them to act against the fraud.

falconry botters
Jagex doesn't and never did care about botters. The only reason Jagex did anything was because the credit companies put pressure on them to deal with the credit fraud brought by the foreign sweatshops. Jagex's removal of free trade made it pointless for the gold farmers to bot, so we saw a drastic drop in the amount of bots in-game. Some of the bots now might still be gold farmers who are just using bots to do their power-leveling services, but I'd venture to say that many of the botters are just lazy people who would rather watch TV and come back to level 90 hunter than actually earn their levels.

Private servers
^This I feel that as long as it doesn't affect me in-game *directly*, I don't really care about it. What they want to do in their servers is none of our concern, its for Jagex to deal with. I really don't see the point in getting angry over something like this, its a waste of an emotion really. This. Private servers are always vastly inferior to the real game, so if someone wants to play a cheap knock-off of RS while risking infecting his computer, by all means go for it.

You're Fight Caves Experiences
You people must suck if Jad is killing you with one attack. It should normally take two (or if you're lucky, three) attacks for him to kill you.

This. I don't think Wivern knows what joking is. We're having fun. Crying about EVERYTHING gets you no friends. Conversely, making veiled sexual jokes about a common typo is immature and makes you look silly. Seriously, the quality of this thread has really eroded in the past month. Unspam: That was hit with a regular mage pot a couple weeks ago. I've since sold my arcane (to finance 86 herblore).

The death of dungeoneering?
Well, in a sense you probably are being coerced to train it via TOG. And unless matters have changed, you don't get tokens for that - just empty, worthless XP. If Jagex intends to keep pretending this is a skill, then they need to amend that situation and (if possible) retroactively fix past TOG/Dung rewards. The other diversions that give XP (like penguins) I don't feel so strongly about. People choose those. But with TOG, we have no choice - it's the low skill or nothing. And week after week, the imbalance between XP & tokens grows larger. Is there supposed to be a balance between tokens and xp? I mean, this skill will have(do remember, this skill is only half way released to date) rewards other than the ones sold in shops, so i don't see why every xp you get should also recieve tokens- tokens are the reward for training dungeoneeing in deamonheim. It all depends on how big the benefits they add to the "overworld" are. I am still of the belief that, unless they release some mega-monster that can only be fought in a cave that requires 105 dungeoneering to enter and drops an uber divine spirit shield, the majority of the skill's rewards will still come from the tokens after Batch 2, so getting "free exp" in this skill is worthless. The exceptions to this is the maxed players who couldn't give a [cabbage] less about the rewards of the skill and only want to get 120 dungoneering as fast as possible just to say they're maxed again.
