  1. I don't think that I need remind anyone that flaming and badgering is against Tip.it rules. Stay on topic.
  2. Doubt I will put an order in. This is the first new item to come out after the changes to the GE.
  3. Nope, sorry. A quick Google search of "Darwin mac" turned up an operating system and an emulator for Darwin and OS X. Perhaps this is what you're looking for but I am not on the frontier when it comes to this knowledge.
  4. To use Windows applications? If so (and even if you want to port Linux applications) you can use Parallels which is a costly but useful virtualization piece. You can always try it to see if you like it. Reminder that you need a legal and licensed copy of Windows (it supports multiple versions including XP, Vista, and 7) to use the virtualization software itself, even if it's already installed under BOOTCAMP on your Mac. To my knowledge, there is no way around this. I know that CNet mentioned a free virtualization download that was for use under OS X but I haven't the time to look now.
  5. It doesn't work on UNIX systems. In this case, either OS X or Linux.
  6. +1. now, stats and levels don't impress me. the only thing that'll impress me is kindness.+2 then, not to mention I also nostalgia'd hard when I saw that pic of the guy in full dragon. Especially since I took a very similar screencap back in the day too (even in the same place, what a coincidence): [hide=][/hide] I got pretty excited about that back then, but now only skillcapes or interesting accounts (slayerbelle, defil3d, etc) are impressive to me. Agreed. That was back when I thought that the arrow shop minimap icon was a plunger. Just saw a guy slaying in full 3rd age melee with a white partyhat on. It turned my head a little.
  7. Again why I wouldn't use Safari for RS. Jagex is aware of this issue and is working on it. In any case, minimize the window to the Dock. Reopen it then open up a new tab (preferably to the Top Sites) and adjust the page by hitting the green button. Switch back to Runescape and manually adjust the page to maximum length. This should cause Runescape to force a refresh. This anomally dispersed after the cache adjusted for the change (I had to delete the cache to make this work).
  8. They said it was because of a programming limitation. However, I can open up the Terminal and gain this information from any server.
  9. Apparently the ping feature doesn't work on Unix systems.
  10. Okay, to run HD in Safari open the Applications folder and rightclick Safari. Hit "Get Info" and the check the box to run it in 32-bit. Jagex is aware of this issue.
  11. All of mine still say N/A.
  12. No, just when another tab is present in the window. And I lied about Camino. It seems with a a bit of tweaking you can run Java, but the effect you note is still present with another tab open with Runescape running.
  13. Then no, I don't think there's a purpose to getting one just for general phone use. There are also better phones for texting if you're into that.
  14. It's a bug with Firefox. If you don't mind the lack of customization, you can give Camino a try. It's from Mozilla as well. Opera doesn't allow you to backspace more than one letter at a time under Java and Safari doesn't have a maximize button (without Glims). Assuming you're using 10.5, as Camino crashes under Java in 10.6.
  15. For what use?
  16. The Microhelper doesn't work with the new updates at all, I believe.
  17. No idea. It works fine when I tried it. Though, I don't use it because it doesn't have a maximize button. You didn't have to update Leopard by the way, as it wouldn't have done anything anyway. But four hours? Bizarre. I probably would have just returned it at that point. :?
  18. I'm not following at all. You have no songs on your laptop now, since you reformatted it?
  19. Good thing you kept some of your luck.
  20. Is it hard to install? Really easy with the the aluminium ones. Easier yet with the polycarbonate.
  21. It's because you're attempting to go through Windows to try and fix your router. You're going to need to access your router's configuration settings via the address provided to you by the manufacturer. In the case of a Linksys router (which may or may not work with a D-Link router) it is 192.168.1.1 (attempt to copy and paste this into the address bar should the link not work). It's not worth toggling any setting to figure out the problem, so I would restore it to the default and change any settings you desire from there (for example, adding a password, security encryption, name, etc). Note that to access this webpage, your computer must be temporarily hardwired to the router. To answer your question, no I do not know why it is doing it. What I do know is that I experienced a similar problem using a a Linksys router where it wouldn't always connect. Restoring the default setting, essentially reseting the router, worked wonders.
  22. I would go for the RAM, but I never use much HDD space. Buy your RAM from a third party, such as Crucial, Kingston, OWC, or Newegg and it will cost about $50.
  23. Baconisbacon for always being there and sharing luck. Lady Heinous for being a good neighbor.
