  1. Well with the old games necklace tele, with a soulwars bank you could return geared with about 20 seconds left on your 2 minutes. I'm not sure how much of that was time spent running once inside the cave though. If it's less than one minute, it'll be similar to before.
  2. 15 is barely enough to make it back to arma+Nex, but it *is* just enough. Not for everyone though. This also makes it MUCH easier to get back to your gravestone while soloing, especially if your internet drops for a few minutes. Any word on Corp? How long does it take to get from new tele spot to east side of lair?
  3. Not bothered. FT+Wildy + Nex is enough to last a couple of content-free months.
  4. What people in the 80s-90s consider decent teams would generally seem slow to people 105+. Don't get me wrong: there are some very good dungeoneers in the 80s and 90s. But they're in the minority compared to the masses of hopelessly incompetent players. It's very true that getting an opportunity in the low levels is hard. But mid level clans have failed for various reasons. If you think you can do better with one, go for it. The one point I will grant you is that 105 sounds like a strange number. The only truly significant levels are 50 and 100 in terms of setting requirements. Realize, though, that at level 100-104 you will not be kicked from too many 105+ teams because of level. The dung system is not entirely elitist, though you will find some people like that without a doubt. It's set up so that your exp rate can increase as you level up, and setting reasonable requirements is a part of that.
  5. Most of the price changes in a game like RS can be tracked to time of day, general highscore trends, game updates, or the price trends of items linked to the one in question (very important in terms of rares). There are factors in common - like how the particular item/stock has done historically - but RS fluctuations are based on easily tangible reasons. RS has some fundamental differences from a real life economy. Best not to make comparisons but instead to evaluate it based on the factors around you that you do know. We could discuss these but I'm pretty sure there has been a comprehensive discussion about that at some point here.
  6. 238k/h over the course of 99 is not reasonable even with unlimited cashflow. That's what you get training a mix of skills with the best methods with everything unlocked. Training a skill from 1-99 is *much* slower than training it after 99. A more reasonable estimate would be 100k for a total playtime of 136 days (assuming familiarity with the game and a friend to supply as much cash as you need). But this seems like a really bad tangent to go off on considering the thread is about 200m... To put things in perspective, getting to 99 everything is a minimum of 6.5% of the way to 200m everything, though I would boost this to 10% to account for quests/exp past 99 before maxing.
  7. PK at edge: KO potential uni for rockbrewscroll. PKing deep: who has more supplies baroo baroo PKing with group: dps steel titan
  8. Another way to heal if you're on curses is to just pray Soul Split instead of deflect melee. TDs do not change attack styles unless you deflect them, so once the TD uses melee it will stay there for the rest of the kill. Depending on your gear (or if you bring alternate gear for this), you can SS the whole kill and take minimal damage. With a unicorn I sometimes have to use Darklight twice while that never happens with Titan. However, I haven't tried void + rigour + hand cannon, so my opinion might change once I play around a bit more. DG: Generally people c1 rush floors 1-29 but if you don't have many 30+ open you should stop c1ing earlier. Do the rest of those floors on c6.
  9. Arcane and Spectrals autosell for max Spectrals being under 40m was never going to last long because they are a very good shield for Armadyl and Nex (about the same as Eagle-Eye Kiteshield which is 200k dung tokens to buy and 2m to recharge). I don't see Arcanes rising too much. Since we just had our boss monster for the next 2 years, and since mage is still useless in high level combat, the draw of the Arcane is for pvp only. That will die off in a couple weeks.
  10. Isn't he like #1 in like that Dungeon Assault game? Zezima is #1 overall on Funorb based on "Orb Points" (a measure of how many achievements you have, weighted by difficulty), though FunOrb is soon to become Jagex Games Package. Dungeon Assault itself has no clear #1 - as you reset your score every week - but by the quantifiable means the #1 DA player is Blasphemite (who happens to be almost maxed on RS as well). Dungeon Assault is nothing close to Dungeoneering in terms of gameplay. The only thing they have in common is name.
  11. Well first nothing prevents you from keying on Gatherer with a 2h, switching to Berserker if you have to help in combat. I prefer that to binding a battleaxe and using tank. I used a primal battleaxe for 10m exp and a prom 2h for the other 22m and I prefer the 2h by a wide margin. Anyone I've ever dungeoneered with who has gone on to 200m exp used the 2h, in case 32m exp didn't constitute enough experience. The spear is vastly worse than the 2h because you only need slash and crush to deal with any monster and the loss of 20% strength bonus is just too high (the spear is only better than the 2h without Berserker on a few targets anyway). The only time I would consider using it is if I had a hexhunter bow and wanted to keep a range ring on the entire dungeon, but I would still prefer to switch rings and keep my 2h.
  12. Experience using your third bind and more experience with pro teams. The crucial difference is when you levelup to 100, but I find that 105+ dungeoneers are *much* better than 100-105. I find that these 5 levels cut down on the number of people that don't know how to do specific puzzles/bosses, the number of people that don't grab runes/toolboxes at any point through the floor, and the overall time the map takes. It is a bit annoying if you are level 100-105 but this isn't very long if you consider it on the scale of 120, so just keep working through it.
  13. Lemar's CC isn't a dung clan... Main clan is 3bo, 105+ dungeoneering. When you begin to near level 105 you will understand why everyone over that level joins 3bo and prefers not to do dungeons with lower levels. Before that use w148 or go with friends.
  14. Blink - melee Warped Gulega - melee Kalger - melee+range But surgebox is helpful for the following: Dreadnaut - safespot and mage Hope devourer - safespot and mage World-gorger - you will need all 3 combat styles for the eyes
  15. Plate is probably better for the keyer, but I can't see why everyone else wouldn't like it better then plate. Necklace is better in a theoretical sense but the platebody is so practical that it's no wonder people prefer it. It's hard to visually tell the difference between hits with and without the necklace's offensive stats, while you can definitely see the difference in food saved and ease of movement with a platebody. Death has such a negative influence on our gear choices that it's hard to choose a small offensive bonus over sizeable protective measures, even if reason tells us that it's better, even if we know that we'll be getting small healing boosts from the necklace which the plate doesn't provide. Plus, if you sometimes key, don't kid yourself - you're going to want some sort of guaranteed armour.
  16. TzHaar rate is killing just north of the fairy ring There are 2 149s that spawn close together with one to the south and one to the north I always kill the two in the middle, then I kill the other 149s if they're reasonably close, otherwise I just do a 133 quickly The 270/hr figure is using overloads, steel titans + scrolls, maxed strength gear minus fire cape (SW cape instead), turmoil...and I'm sure it could be improved upon by some ultra click-efficient people, but that's as fast as I was able to comfortably go. I didn't know there was a new Kalphite spot? Is it in the boss's lair after you kill it? What monsters are there?
  17. With 2h, hood, and hex, I would probably go for platebody + necklace over anything else On the proper targets, hex is already accurate enough through a platebody (especially with necklace) if you can't take the plate off. Sag Body + Legs is overkill on defence and lowers accuracy. Sag body + necklace is a pretty good setup, but you have minimal range/melee defence (which won't matter every floor, but some you will feel it) and you don't get the necklace's full accuracy bonus. Catalytic staff would be an interesting idea. I might bind that until I find a necklace or hex because I don't really want to bind legs.
  18. Just ignore it and it has no power! To consider 4/5 binds, here would be my rough order Hood 2h Hex Platebody Blood Necklace Platelegs Of course, you have to be patient to get the hex/necklace, so I'll just be going down the list ;) Other possibilities being offensive gear above platelegs
  19. I don't necessarily disagree with you, but I just want to make a couple points. -If you are putting Gargs above Nechs in terms of convenience, then you should take that into account for Blue Dragons. If you don't want to bank at blue dragons, you need to bring quite a few summoning potions just to get all the bones (ignoring the hides). It's constant clicking for mediocre numbers basically. -Tzhaar numbers are off. From time trials I took, I killed around 90 Tzhaars every 20 minutes for an hourly killrate of 270. Also, at this rate I was killing one level 133 for every 3-4 level 149s, which is an average combat of about 145. Using your formula that comes to an effigy every 151 minutes, which is not bad at all. Yes, they don't drop charms, but whether or not this is important in the long run depends on the individual player's summoning experience and tasklist. Also, there was an entry in Tezz's adventure log for an effigy off the 149, though I don't know whether he regularly does them. Remember that if your tasks are ~100 Tzhaar it will take 7 tasks per effigy compared to 2-4 tasks for many other monsters. I just do Jad tasks for Tzhaars because I don't need charms and I value some stockpiled fire capes more than a chance at an effigy. The exp is too fast to skip under these considerations.
  20. @The Ancient: Chess can be just as stressful as a 20 minute dungeon depending on time limits :) @Branches: if the team has no food the priority is to fish first then find branches to cook it on. Also if you are on the Occult floors it is ok to chop t10 wood when jobless to prepare for a possible Necrolord (remember blood ragers are useless on it). Cant think of many other times but those are 2 where it can be done. @Logdotzip: that would be interesting, dung is completely dead atm so that might bring it back a bit. Also, to defend yourself, just say you have definitive but confidential sources rather than saying "I'm pretty sure," then you avoid flames + get the credit :D
  21. I do more or less the best task list for effigies but my rate is around 1/115k. It's not really that big of a deal, just somewhere around 100k is average. Just to give you an idea of the chance involved: -In 15 logged Ice Strykewyrm tasks I have 8 effigies -In 14 logged Dark Beast tasks I have 2 effigies One is above the average and the other is below, but together they more or less even out.
  22. breakin tha law Is it? You don't need to multilog to do it, and the two accounts really wouldn't be interacting with eachother, neither exchanging anything. If anything, i bet jagex would encourage such behavior(two p2p accounts per person means more money and less server load). I've never heard of any controversy over bless accounts. Personally, I don't see the point in one. The most likely cause of death is connection loss which would prevent any of your accounts from logging in. Plus, it takes a fair bit of capital to set one up (train an account to 70 stats, set up outside boss with the proper killcount/gear, and pay $60+/yr to keep it there...).
  23. I can confirm that you can melee the minions, in fact if you brought a chaotic weapon it is best to do so for all but the shadow phase. @KC: The fastest way to get KC is to kill blood reavers in the southern-center part of the room, killing the ancient mage when it spawns. You should replace the defender with a defensive shield such as a DFS so that everything is unaggressive even when not potted (and then you can replace verac's helm with neitiznot to make up for some of the offensive capabilities lost). This way you can just bring extreme attack and extreme strength to the KC and be safe. A good habit to get into is bringing a yak and one scroll, scrolling the frozen key once you get in, then summoning a steel titan for the rest of the KC. Gear: -You don't need that many super restores, you only need to drink if you use more than 2 brew doses, so replace some with super prayers to last longer -Divine > Elysian > Spectral > EEK > DFS -Replace d boots with Ranger Boots > Infinity Boots -More bolts -Onyx i > Rangers i > Rangers ring 1st phase: wrong on the cough, it hits the person farthest away and spreads from there. If you have one person stand south or east and run south with it, no one else will get it. Forgot to mention this is where you unload all your claw specs. Also forgot to mention to stay out of the middle starting about the 5th or 6th hit. 2nd phase: forgot to mention that range damage is decreased the farther away you are from nex and to lure away if meleed 3rd phase: you should be meleeing this phase so ignore the Blood Sacrifice attack. Everyone should keep their prayer points as low as possible without hitting 0 so that the prayer drain is minimized. The damage is negligible if any. Forgot to mention to unload a spec if it's recharged by this point. 4th phase: covered the main points adequately but not in depth 5th phase: a common tactic is to DD on top of Glacies for this phase, also needs to mention dealing with melee attack vs mage here. On top of all that, needs to mention that Nex restores 6000 LP at the beginning of this phase (doubling remaining lp) + tons of other subtleties
  24. ^ Seconded, if you are using a unicorn you should also be using hand cannon
