Top 250 F2P Skill Total List
I think you will find some skills that unfavored even by F2Pers, I know some F2Pers used to hold back something deliberately, like RC or Crafting, and suddenly trains them to shot up the ranks on the list, but other than that, they could simply hate that skill. There used to be some high total lvl f2p with very little combat stat (I think there is one with low combat, but insane firemaking xp, and of course, in the old days, rank 3rd wcer is also a f2p, but the overall total skill isn't that high), but as the list grow bigger, those combat based one could easily push off those f2p skillers too. As you look around the list mentioned in the previous post, alot of veteran f2p players have very low stat in RC or what not, but their combat xp all have 99 and exceeds 13mil (now if you convert those time training into RC or their drawback skills, they could have easily brought those to 90+) Some just want to play the way they want, and not worry about the list too much (I know a lot of people got add into the list that way without knowing they were added until a while later) So maybe their initial goal wasn't about attain all lvl 99 f2p style, they just really like particular set of skills. Of course, as we all know, even after lvl 99 all, then its pretty much the xp wars, similar to member, and its great if you keep on training purely out of interest (I think there is a mixed of both interest and stay on top, but mostly due to interest).

Top 250 F2P Skill Total List
Yeah, as soon as you stop playing for few months, or even weeks, your rank drop significantly. A lot of old names on the lists are getting bumped off as new blood enter into the list, and of course stop playing the game themselves speed up the process even more. Feeling a bit down seeing old names coming off the list like that, many of them used to be my goals and inspirations or some familiar faces I seen in the old days. At least the new f2ps seems to keep training themselves hard, that's always a plus. I stop playing meticulously like I did before, just a few there and here, and hopefully I will reach my own goals someday, lol.

3rd April 2009 - Forums for High level F2P'ers!
Well, it would be nice for F2P to get their own forum, but I am wondering if they do that for current f2p and ex p2pers as well. That could open up new window of opportunity for new ideas from greater amount of players for sure. Jagex probably have a combat or overall total levels in mind so not all the new players might spam the forum with useless request, also potential mischievous people creating accounts just to invoke havoc on the forum. Then again, even though I am pure F2P myself, I rarely use the RSOF, and I think what we have is really more than enough already in terms of F2P content. I do used to use RSOF to look for potential trades before grand exchange comes out, but I mainly use tip it forums for general discussion as well. I mean look how many high level F2Ps get by with limited resources, F2P did pretty well even few years ago. If it's possible, I would be really happy that we can STOP get this kind of update like these, so at least the paying members don't have anymore excuses to berate the F2P communities. F2P didn't ask for those kind of updates (maybe small populations do), its up to Jagex to decide whether if they want to or not, currently, there are more than enough major update to keep F2Per happy (in my opinion, not a GENERALIZATION for everyone). The only update that I could ever want to ask that Jagex do, is to have a 2 different high score, one for P2p, and one for Pure F2p, and I think that just simple tweaking the system, without spending too much effort into it (of course, if anyone want to flame this idea, then it's ok, I will just use the runehead one, lol, I am more than content enough to see my name float on 250 top f2p list)

Playing Runescape - Taboo?
Well, it would be nice if I could talked to someone about RS in real life, but for the most part, people that I know stopped playing long time ago. The one knows I am playing more or less semi joked about it once in a while, but never really go overboard with insults. I guess that type of things is more prevalent in school. Bear in mind that I am in my mid 20s now, so it's really hard to find people that's interested in RS, and even if I tell them what it is, they still not know what it is. Tbh, the definition itself is vague to put it at best. You can do other things beside RS that could consider waste of time if you play it too much. I remember that before I got into RS, I would play other games for hours on end (even if its demo copy, now that's saying something, so far I am the only one I know that play NFS 2 demo for at least 4 hours per day straight when I really have nothing else to do, and all it has is one demo track). It wouldn't be consider productive since you are not making your "materialistic" life better. Examples would be like studying, earning money with part time jobs, or volunteering for your community. Overall, as people grow older, then spend portions of their life doing different kind of things, and its all upon their own choices. I won't really bother to look another person oddly if they train their character for hours on end. Granted, they could do better things to enrich their life, but I am not in the position to tell them what to do either. In conclusion, how you want to spend your time is totally up to you, there isn't a right or wrong answer, and anything that you choose to do reflect in the consequences of your action. So final piece of advice here, time management is the key. You can bake the cake and eat it too if you know what you are doing.

Top 250 F2P Skill Total List
Ugh.......I dropped like 20 ranks due to 2 months of inactivity, better start training again. Mining is a pain, that's why I stop training all due to mining (plus I also bank my ores, which slow things down even more) At least I train my RC and mining together with the help of cabbage tele, so kind of training 2 things at once. It seems that everyone is picking up their pace nowadays, gotta speed things up for sure, lol.

Weekly Poll: What 99?
For F2P point of view probably mining, prayer, and rune crafting. Mining, well, if you bank your ores, then its slow. Prayer, if you only bury small bones, even if you do buy them, its still slow, (big bones speed things up a bit) Rune crafting, if you try to do it without assist, just keep on walking the airs yourself, it will take really long time. However, with Tiara binding, it would be a lot faster.

Do you report players?
Depend on situations, most people try to insult others, and depend on severity of it. I know the rules well, and if I spot people breaking them, like major ones, I will report them. Like the other day, some player would approach me and said, hey there high lvl, if you don't play one day, can I have your account? I just said, go read about rules 6, and hopefully, you are just joking. If they still dont get it, then I will said account sharing and trading is against the rule. If they still persist, then I report them (for the most part, they just go sorry that they didn't know and walk away)

How did you find Tipit??
Same here, searching through RS quest help on the net and found RuneHq, tip it, and Salem something something.....lol But I stick with tip it because it looks really wel organized and clean, I used to use Runehq for item search but since Tip it has that too, so only do tip it for now. (Mostly enjoy reading the tip it new articles for sure)

Do your friends know if you play Runescape?
People knows that I play RS used to play RS too. I know some Wow players and we talked about online communities alot, so they know I play RS too. I don't bring it up unless someone brought it up, but most people are ok with it. Any video game (unless educational ones) count as time waster if you play too much, RS is really no diffrent.

CASH on the rich and poor
Its hard to based on combat lvl and how rich you are, I once see few lvl 3 merchant wearing Phat tradining in Varrock in the old days. Its not that hard to save up money, just don't buy unnecesary items too much. Make 2k steel bar, cut 3k yew, fish 3k lobbies, all that equal about 1.2mil or more. I don't think there is poor people on RS, just how much you save, and how you much you know about making money. If you fished you way to lvl 99 with lobster, thats like 30mil cash right there. If you cut your way to lvl 99 with yew, you get 20mil plus right there. If you can mine runite ores, and play 8 hours a day, you can make 5.1mil in one day. (300 ores)

Where did you first hear about RuneScape?
I first see my cousin playing back in 2002 or 2003, and at that time the graphic was a bit roughed compare to now. He was in Lumby meeting his other friends to go wildy to kill some hill giants. I just take a peek and suggest my cousin to pretend to be a girl and see what happens (and without a doubt, bunch of people start making those flirtious remarks, so I was like hmm, not that interesting, another typical online game) In 2005 my cousin and his friend start playing again, and they were mentioning how hard it was to train so I was like it can't be that hard, whats the highet lvl your friends got, he said 75 (and he was a member). After, I signed up through Miniclip and start training (spend like 10 min deciding on names though, coz i dont want to regret it later), in about 2 weeks and half time, there done, combat lvl 78, my cousins and his friend were like WTF, what did you do, lol. (Speaking of which, it only took me about 2 months and half get combat lvl 100, and that was all F2P, plus I also train other skills too, but really, it isnt that hard if you dont get side tracked too much) Now, I am the only one that still plays, and my cousin and his friends no longer interest in RS anymore, but they still talked about it in their school sometimes.

Melee training in f2p.
Any drop thats stackable from monster you should keep. I collected tons of body runes from ice giants, and they still sell on ge, another nice profit. Besides Ice giants, cockroach soldiers, red spiders, and flesh crawlers, just find monster with high hp, and lower def to hit, then you are pretty much all set. Cash is abit important too because they can fund to train other skill later on. Prayer would probably cost 270mil or more if you do big bones to get lvl 99 PS. I really like ice giants because they are so easy to hit, and they give good xp and drop, the only problem is if you are lvl 115 or lower, ice wars will take you, and then there is competition from other players too.

Runescape Named One Of The Best Time Wasters
It's not time wasting if you do something while you train. I usually just read books and write my university report while training RS for some skills like combat, wc, and fishing. If you manage your time properly, and know how to multi task efficiently, training RS is just like running another application in the background (I once see my cousin playing Starcraft, playing RS, chatting on messenger, and doing facebook, and playing solitare at the same time..., talk about overloading) I am sure if people are not training in RS, they are probably playing other game consoles, or chatting on the phone or etc and etc.

Buyable skills?
Firemaking, cooking and fletching is usually good. I just burn willow and trout, and they give me good result. Being said, burn maple and cook lobbies are probably another way of making the process faster. Other than those ones, other skills tend to cost abit more cash. For the most part, even if people said those are cheap skills, it wont matter, its still xp and skillcape overall. Otherwise anyone who play after 2006 to 2007 are considered non pro since alot of update makes training alot easier, or anyone play after RSC is not good enough because it was harder back then. You can always get the materials yourself and get all the skill to lvl 99, by the, the benefit is probably you would save alot of cash enough to buy full set of phat....

Top 250 F2P Skill Total List
Too much time on their hand or pretty good time management, lol I play alot during my uni years, I just read books and train at same time. So I can do average about 5 hours a day during that time. Plus I get alot of readings done, so 2 birds with one stone. Or if you are set for life and semi retired, you could also have alot of time on your hand. As long you know what your limit is and play within your responsibility, its all good. Higher lvl just mean play longer, or play more, or know how to play efficiently, or all of the above, its all about dedication and how long you can stick to it. Same goes for P2p. As long as you have fun, its all good

98m+. how to spend (F2P)?
I think you can do a quest that give you some mining xp. Mining start with iron, get a better pickaxes as your skill lvl progresses, there is really no need for you to spend any cash on it. If you bank your ores, you gain cash, if you drop them for xp, it takes about a min to drop them. Do rune mysteries quest to increase RC lvl abit, its all about walking the airs, fire, or water. Another way to train RC fast is by binding talisman, bind airs gives good xp. As for fm, just burn willow or maple logs to get lvls. Cook: some people go for lobbies, but I think trout works fine, and cheaper. WC lvl, just cut willow and burn them, in fact, you can also train fm this way. Fishing, just fly fishing once you get the lvl. For the most part, the only one that truely use alot of cash is probably smithing, and mage, so get them to smith 50, and mage 43, then just keep make mith bars and sell back to ge. Do addy when you can. Crafting is good with cow hides, or tanned ones if you want to do it quicker, someone told me its 140k xp per hour if you do hard leather bodies.
-
98m+. how to spend (F2P)?
Forgot to mention, if you train your smithing through superheating method, you won't lose that much cash. Say you buy ores and nat for addy and it cost you like 2350 total, you can always sell 2400 for profit as bars If you want quick xp, buy coal at medium price, and addy or mith ores at slight higher price for quicker buy. Or, buy them slight cheaper and get them abit slower for profit. If you do addy bars, its 37.5k smith xp per hour, and 54 mage xp per hour, you can roughly superheat 1k bars if you set up your inventory right. PS: so say you buy ores at 2400gp each and sell it for 2350, 50gp lost, but 37.5xp and 54 xp for 50 gp is pretty good trade off. I personally being doing this for awhile and get my mage up to (from 88) 95 plus and (from 79) 92 smith plus without losing single gp, in fact, I gained about 3mil profit overall because I usually buy ores cheaper.

98m+. how to spend (F2P)?
With 98 mil gp to spend, there are alot of options. First of all, you could probably use the money to buy enough ess to get rc 99 (2.5mil ess), but that would take about 2 year if you train 4 hours each day (with total profit like 200mil +) Crafting only takes about 35mil or 50mil depend if you go for cow hides or tanned hides You can always go for easy skill first, get maple logs for firemaking and get raw trout for cook 99, both skill should only cost you total 5mil or less. I would probably go for smithing and mage method, simply buy the ores, nat and superheat them, and sell the bars if you dont care about making profit (best for addy and mith), you can actually get smith and mage 99 (with mage potentionally up to 19mil xp) this way pretty fast. I wrote a guide in the wisdom section if you want to take a look. Buy yourself alot of arrows and get your range to 99. 600k for 100k bronze arrows, or just buy 1 or 2 mil arrows and dont bother picking them up. Buy enough feathers to get your fishing 99 Prayer, not really recommended since you need like 260mil to 198mil (depend if you train with big bones or normal bones), so even with all the money spend, you are probably only half way to prayer 99. Another option you can try is merchant, buy common trade items like raw lobs, coal in bulk at cheaper price, and sell them later when price is good, make sure you do your research and check though, they go up and down like stock prices sometimes You can alway invest in rares like phat, or other holiday items, but I am more skilled biased (you can always save up enough cash for rares, but its more impressive for a lvl 99 skill esp f2p style)

good place to get firemaking up
I actually did mine in Rimmington, before the grand exchange kicks in, there were tons of willow logs for 12 gp in general store because people use to train wc there. But I guess the best place now would probably be draynor or edge, or varrock Bank, I found GE to be laggy at times

How Old Are You??
You can play this game no matter what age you are. I remember one of my RS friend is getting married in rl and he is thinking about quitting but I told him not to give up something he lifes just because he thinks he wont have time to play. It just means you need better time management, you still can enjoy what you like in moderation. Same goes for everything. I even know some grand parents playing this game

Members - What is your free play total level?
Hmm, why not do, whats your free play total level before you change to member, that way there are not member training speed mix in it. For the most part, free play skill are mostly essential ones (well, maybe not firemaking), so most people do train them (excep RC, mining I guess)

"What if there was no F2P?"
There are several topic thats very similar to this one, but I think the bottom line is that, if Jagex removed all the F2P, P2P would greatly influnece just for a while, and settles down again (much reduced). From a business point of view, its a bad sense that you get no ingame referals and people trying out and possible incentive to become P2P. No one would want to pay for a game without trying it out (I would do that for PC game, but not for a online Java based game, but those PC game usually have demos) so it would make them lose money big time. It would be interesting if Jagex would take F2P servers offline for like 2 weeks, and leave only member server on. then we will see the effect of suddenly losing one steady supplier. In fact, when RWT and autoers were removed, we already saw price gone up and all sort of items shortage simply becase Before autoer: price stable During autoer: normal player can't compete with cheap price of autoers, and they can't compete with their mass armies taking over spots During autoer phase 2: alot of people give up gathering resources since price of items become low. so autoers are pretty much controlling the stock of items, and people with more gp keep buying from autoers instead. After autoers removed: normals players werent gathering, autoers weren't gathering, so items drop down and price gone up Some example: Yew logs before: 250, now 450+ Raw lobbies: 250, now 330 Normal essence: 20 to 40, now, pure essence 150 or more, normal ess hitting 44 Yew logs is sort of ok since people cut them to get higher wc lvl, same goes for fishing. But as for rune essence, well, its has lower mining xp, and ok cash (not good for higher lvls), all prices gone up after removal of autoers (removal of the dependencies pretty much), I really doubt alot of higher lvls would want to mine ess or gather flex all day. Most that most higher lvl players would do more xp efficient style of training then gathering resource type (especially if they are not worth that much)

Top 250 F2P Skill Total List
I just usually assume it by what world they are before, but that was before the server still have the country it is in compare to just number now. Home world of some sort, then again, you have to add them as a friend to tell that for starters, lol. That was certainly an interesting list looking at different top F2P from all over the world.

do U consider being called noob offensive?
Depend on the situations, I think of it as an insult and also compliment. I know most people call me noob for the reason that I out perform in certain skills or gathering resources (ie, mining coal, or killing monster) and if they get less, or not alot, they will say noob before log off (almost 90 percent of the time now). I used to care about it, at least somewhat ponder what warrent such an insult, then after awhile, I get used to it. I think most people use it like a common slang now, like lol, or rofl at the end of the sentence. When they get slightly annoyed, they just use it.

Hmmm, bump to member when you found easier method of payment? Aww man, I will definitely not going to those isles in those stores next time, lol, jk, hope you have fun in member. Howie is kidding about getting p2p right? Hopefully not...-_-
