  1. There is a narrow hole between lumbridge kitchen and lumbridge cave (tears of guthix) It's not the one directly between the kitchen and the caves, but the one between going into the caves from the kitchen cellar directly to the lumbridge caves. It has the option "squeeze-through hole", but then you get a message "the tunnel is blocked with rocks". I tried to use a pickaxe on it, but that doesn't work. Do you need to do a quest for this shortcut? or is it something else?
  2. When I see someone at this kind of training spot I usually politely state that I will hop, and will do so. It's better to actually say this, because last time the reply was "don't bother to hop, I'm done here". There are usually free worlds for this kind of training, resource gathering, so i think it is polite to hop. But then again the other person doesn't really have to [bleep] about it when you don't. It is a free world. You can do whatever you want when it is within the rules of the game.

is this really best? I've been doing extreme pots lately, since they give more experience per pot.

Also put MTK on herbs. It gives a decent amount of ranarrs.
  5. Jagex didn't send the police to this person. Jagex reported the incident, and the police themselves decided to check it out. Jagex doesn't control law enforcement.

That used to be the case. Nowadays they all drop the same amount of crimsons.
  7. Warning: I found that irons are faster with whip and defender than z-spear. (super anti-fire needed of course).
  8. You can use Bunyip and it often goes ok, but sometimes you need a little bit of praying when you get hit a few times in a row. So you put prayer on for a while till the bunyip heals you back. But nowadays with Kurandel's dungeon I bank the bones, using extreme antifire, some food, SGS, and terror bird for extra space.
  9. It seems the prices are bouncing back again. I guess some "merchanters" made a big profit. I agree with the previous statements that people shouldn't buy stuff they "can't afford". If it makes you nervous that a BGS drops a few million, maybe you shouldn't buy one. I actually have a BGS in my bank just for lending out (I use my SGS for daily use). I'm not even lending the BGS out for profit. Sometimes I am at a bank and I see a slightly lower level player that needs a break. I just loan my BGS out to them for free or for a token for as long as they want it. Lending out expensive stuff is one of the last ways you can really help out your fellow runescaper. I just bought a BGS to tie up some cash. Who cares that it drops a million. You can make a million GP in an hour, and if you don't put any effort or risk into it, within 2 hours. Just don't freak out when a price drops. Either you have a piece of equipment because you use it, or otherwise you have it for price speculation, and then you should be aware of the risk. Or you have it just for fun. And then who cares.
  10. You don't tank them. You semi-tank them. you wear verac or bandos. You take along a bunyip and SGS. Super def, att, str. You pray when your Hp gets really low. You don't pray when you are fine. And it is then just a matter of luck. If you are lucky they hit nothing but zeros for minutes. If you are unlucky they hit 16s several times in a row. Then you just put on prayer for a while. The bunyip will heal you back. The difference with praying is that you can get away with either not using any prayer pots at all, or just one or two. It's best though to use an SGS as well. It makes a difference.
  11. Well, you can make 200k+ each day by just making a round visiting various stores. That's 1.4M+ a week. No risk involved, hardly any time. I only merchant once every 3 months when I see a sure thing. And only then a limited amount of my GP. And When I have a lot of GP lying around I just buy a piece of high end equipment. Last time I bought a BGS, although I don't really need it (had already a SGS). But mostly I am currently pumping money into herblore. Nice money sink.
  12. well, with slayer you make money on one task and you lose some on other tasks. The other option would be to range. You will make 100k+ on a task for sure. And that is when you have bad luck. Anyway, people are always moaning about being efficient. If you can cut the time you can do a black demon task in half, or even more, than technically you are making money, since by not cannoning it can take you up to 2 hours (if you range for instance). You can cannon a black demon task in less than 45 minutes. Leaves you with an hour at least to make 1M. Big profit according to the 'virtual runescaper'. I just liked to cannon them in the member's dungeon because it was more fun than meleeing them, or just ranging them. The situation is very dynamic cannoning them there. There are usually other people around who can interfere, you have to keep in mind your safespot, you can choose not to use melee prayer when you reload and such, get the timing of reloading right, etc. But I wouldn't personally cannon them any more, since I sold my cannon once I hit 99 slayer. I just remember from doing them, that they would always drop ranarr herbs. Before I cannoned them, I meleed them with prayer. And I quickly changed to semi-tanking them once I got the proper equipment and stats. Semi-tanking is really the way to go if you don't want to spend too much time and money on black demons. And I find semi-tanking more fun than praying, since you do have to pay attention and make a decision once in a while.
  13. Put your MTK on herbs. You will have a decent amount of ranarr herbs from that. And then you should be able to get enough herb drops with slayer to fulfill your needs. If not, then you are praying too much. Black demons are perfect for cannoning, or ranging. If you are unable to purchase prayer pots.

well, that would make them lousy ranarr seed droppers. Earth warriors drop them regularly like moss giants.

aberrant spectres and nechryaels I think. You can also pickpocket them once every ~30 minutes from master farmers. abby specs dont and i dont think nechs do as well moss giants and trolls drop them every once and a while http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Aberrant_spectre <= they do drop them. Also hence my 92 slayer, I used to slay before lapalok was there and abby spectre task became rarer, I slayed them a lot and I think I got over 50 ranarr seeds in my whole period slaying these ;-) (I could also redirect you to the tip it bestiary database http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2monster_id=436 but they only say they drop herb seed) For nechryael they're not in the drop list of wikia: they say 'Herb seed (most varieties)' and some other seeds like torstol and snapdragon are specified later in the list, but i'm 99% sure they also drop ranarr seeds (I'm not a member anymore so I can't just go test it) Moss giants and trolls drop them indeed but they're not worth killing imo cause their other drops suck. Aberrant specters DO NOT drop ranarr seeds. Unless it is possible to get 99 slayer without a single ranarr seed drop., They do drop ranarr grimy herbs.
  16. That's a bit of a strange statement since everybody walks around in Bandos tassets when they have the cash. Tassets = skirt. Or even worse? You gladly wear a 'corselet' but not a skirt? Armoured skirts aren't genderspecific. Well, they are I guess, they were all mostly designed for men.
  17. Cooking level 76 for bunyip scroll at waterfiends is quite useful.
  18. SS is nice for strength, but nothing beats a whip + defender. The controlled-only option is a problem of course, but only a temporary one. 99 for all melees isn't really taking that long once you start closing in on it. But the SS is a really nice weapon with a useful spec.
  19. I got a bit frustrated with herblore leveling. I got to 85, and then went nicely for 86. And for some reason i assumed the next super pot would be at 86, but it is at 88. Originally I just meant to turn all my ant-fire pots into super anti-fires and get to the next level where I could start making new super pots with the super attacks I already have. But I will not even get close to 88 with what I have. That put me off herblore leveling a bit. Maybe I will just make do with super antifires. MTK doesn't put much of a dent in herblore leveling. I need about 5000+ new pots at the moment. That will take quite some time with MTK.
  20. So I can make super antifires. What do you do then? You go to the iron dragons with a zamorakian spear on stab. To my surprise it didn't really seem to go faster than the old method of whip + DFS. So I did a small test. Super antifire + super att + super def + super strenght dose, with different weapons. Zamorakian spear on stab - couldn't finish the job of 5 iron dragos before the superantifire ran out. Whip + rune defender - finished 5 iron dragons in 5:30 SGS on crush - finished 5 iron dragons in 5:00 SGS on slash - finished 5 iron dragons in 5:00 I know it isn't really a big test, but this small test confirmed my feeling that the zammy spear on stab wasn't really a major improvement. In fact it seemed slower. And of course I actually had to eat more because I received more damage. What's really the best weapon for metal dragons? Did anyone do any massive testing? (a long time ago I did a longer test with iron dragons using leafbladed sword on stab and whip. Whip won also).
  21. And then you could add papayas to the super energies eventually to make super special pot for 200xp per pot.
  22. of course this kind of update arrives after I got 99 slayer. Seems like slayer got more interesting again. Slayer has really changed lately with smoking kills, aquanites, and now this. You can't say they haven't spend time on this skill.
  23. Dunno, I have played runescape for 4 years and still don't have access to all content. Runescape is a game that allows for growth. It takes a person with a lot of spare time to max out completely and do everything that is possible within the game. I like that.

Interestingly I did some testing not so long ago on which monster is the best herb dropper. And they all are quite similar to be honest: Chaos druid warriors: not good at all. Half the profit of the other choices. Choas druids: ok choice. There is a non-crowded option. Aberrant specters: excellent high level herb droppers. Bit slow, even for me. Cave crawlers: One of my new favourites. Very very easy access. You use the slayer ring teleport to relleka slayer cave: you enter the cave. You are there. You get a full inventory, you teleport to castlewars with dueling ring. It is as if the cave is next to the bank. Do not forget to take some super antipoison though!!!! Chaos druids, aberrant specters and cave crawlers all had similar profit per hour figures. There is a bit of luck involved which can pump the aberrant specters to the top (high level seeds, lvl3 clue scrolls, lavabattlestaffs (10k drop), and black mystic). Specters aren't crowded in Summona which is also a big plus. Easy access with slayer ring. But in all I preferred cave crawlers because they are more relaxing. Although be careful going to the toilet because their poison hits hard. And it seems the drops are better with a macaw following you around. Conveniently there is a summoning renewal point at the cave crawlers.
  25. i was testing the super antifires this week. And of course I didn't take the time. But it seemed they lasted the normal time. As in quite long.
