  1. Interesting direction that TET are now taking. I have to say I will miss the parties and fun we've had. I've been so busy with Uni that I've been unable to attend as of late, but I'm certainly going to keep an eye on how this new direction works. Good luck to everyone applying, TET can be a great way to make friends and become part of the community, both going to events and making them :)
  2. I'm so glad to see this up again! I think we should keep everywhere open and if Edge/DG/GE get too many snipes we can consider banning them. Only Edge was the out of bounds one before.
  3. If you're talking about why both articles had the same article in it, that was a hitch during the release today. I went and did a Jagex today, the release has been rather buggy :P
  4. Time for a new release of the: >>>Tip.It Times!<<< I'd like to remind people of the rules pertaining to Times threads: [hide=Read these rules before posting in this thread] [/hide] When replying please make sure to clarify the article you are replying to! Thanks! If you spot any typos or mistakes in the article then please PM them to me :) Enjoy the articles!
  5. Should one of the company's objectives be that they ought to be more vocal and open with the community, moderating and posting on boards like these would be very effective in doing so. In contrast to Q&A's/Jmod events, it would allow Jmods to actually listen to their players' opinions in a medium that isn't spammed extensively and potentially game-changing discussions could take place. The money problem could be solved by funding through advertising, although it may be insufficient thus an alternative solution would have to be made should the idea be considered. Frankly, it's an insane idea. No way could we just buy a JMod. Even if every page on the site was plastered with 5 banners and 10 popups I doubt a site could make enough to hire a person on that basis.
  6. Someone posted the list of the top murderers, by their own hands, and I was faintly amused that the UK has spots right at the top! Harold Shipman has got to be one of the worst murderers ever. I'm not doing the whole 'evil' thing because it's frankly the same list everyone else posts unless you put some unfunny public figure in.
  7. Please stop reposting your thread. Only once is necessary. ~Racheya
  8. Actuallly I didn't know that is this true? I'm not exactly sure but COPPA forms are required all over for people under 13 and like has already been mentioned, really she shouldn't be able to engage in proper communication with other players until she's 13.
  9. If she's 10 legally she shouldn't even be on a proper world where she can talk to other users, under 13's (I think) are required to stay in Quick Chat worlds unless you filled in a COPPA form. And The_Gabe is right, there's literally nothing anybody here can do to help you, you need to appeal the ban to Jagex.
  10. Actually you shouldn't move it. I want to know if other parents are seeing this or people in general. I mean it's very obvious jagex has no bot detection other then " hey you here? " ooh you must be a bot!!! Report. No I don't want my children talking to you!! I've never heard of this problem in my years of playing. Frankly, you aren't going to get much discussion out of this since there's plenty of discussion of bots going on and as for unfair bannings, on a case by case basis like this it's not really a discussion, just a rant at how it's unfair. You're angry at Jagex for 'incorrectly banning' your daughter, this seems like a rant to me. And as for Jagex's banning procedures, they can't even ban REAL bots right, who have been reported multiple times, it's unlikely they'd ban on a case of someone simply not responding.
  11. Moved your topic to the more appropriate forum of rants :) ~Racheya
  12. Since you already posted a topic here, this is essentially a double post of your topic. Since your topic covers more than just PKing it's better suited to be kept in H&A. ~Racheya
  13. I honestly don't understand why members of TEF who feel mistreated by Tip.It are still here. Don't you have your own thriving community of likeminded people on TEF now? You don't have to worry about moderation or whether or not you can post this link or what... Why waste your time with petty arguments here when you have a better place to go to?
  14. The spirit of the game means playing fair, playing honestly. It's a game, if you don't follow the rules of the game then it's hardly a proper game, it's just a bunch of people doing as they like. I just find it unfair and dishonest.
  15. Oh lord, not this again. Bots are against the rules, some people might be sympathetic, but that doesn't excuse the fact they're cheating. why does cheating in a video game matter? Unless you have a specific instance of bots ruining your fun [via hogging your training spots for example] what does it matter if a person chooses to cheat? Well aside from the tangible problems like hogging training spots, devaluing raw items and such, it's not in the spirit of the game. Why should we be expected to slog out all the grinding is so many lazy asses cheat like that?

  17. Tip.It is a large forum and our Off Topic is quite separated from our Runescape, the popularity of it is one of the things I really like most, but it does unfortunately mean that you don't really get to know everyone in the community. If you don't know a person then you're certainly going to have doubts, but from my experience staff work is more about how you can deal with the community than what you know about Runescape. Sometimes it IS important to know, but that's why we have many admins. If you really have concerns that General Discussion is lacking in administration then go ahead and PM some admins why, maybe even suggest who you think could be a good admin, but just because you think Jimmy may not be the right admin for the RS section, doesn't in any way mean that he does not deserve this :)
  18. I'll keep my eye out but someone else is more likely to see them before I do. My friend got me a 90 day card not long ago for £12.99. If the prices have gone up I'm guessing it'd be to £15
  19. Best of luck to anyone who's applied and to anyone (though the likelihood is slim) who applies in the next hour or so :D

Of course, have to shave them regularly... oh wait, men? Sorry :twss:

  22. Sure, I don't think there's any reason you can't use one :)

I often fall asleep at my boyfriend's place, or feel tired. It's not intentional but he has really comfy pillows and I'm getting him and a friend into watching House so when we put episodes on I end up falling asleep :D
  24. Please show me a quote that says he doesn't. Just because it doesn't specify that he does, doesn't mean it's not true. It's not hard to extrapolate that with 12 hours WoW per night and a minimum of 8 hours manual work in the day, there's no, or little, time to sleep. I think we could all have a bit of a chuckle if this work was instead of the manual work, and the people weren't being physically abused by the prison guards for not being efficient enough, but they are and we aren't.
  25. [hide] Are you serious? Really? Did you read what you just wrote? Do you realize how silly that sounds? If not, read it again. Do you realise how silly YOU sound? Stop trying to justify your ill informed opinion by making everyone else who believes this IS torture, a majority of people, out to be ignorant. We can't all be as gifted as you are, but please give us the decency of rendering us competent enough to read and understand an article. They aren't PLAYING these games, they're being forced to do repetitive actions on them for 12 hours in lieu of sleep. If it's not torture I'd honestly like to see you try it. Try it for one night, after a backbreaking day of hard labour, and see how it's funny then. It's psychological and slow physical torture. Prisoners would slowly be worn down by this and sleep deprivation is a [bleep]. "Ill-informed"? LOL! Read the article. They worked 12-hour shifts. They did NOT play video games "in lieu of sleep" -- you're making it up. Just like everyone else. Then, after you run wild with your "made-up facts" you call ME ill-informed. Honestly ... [/hide]"As a prisoner at the Jixi labour camp, Liu Dali would slog through tough days breaking rocks and digging trenches in the open cast coalmines of north-east China. By night, he would slay demons, battle goblins and cast spells." May I ask what time of day between 'day' and 'night' is there time to sleep?
