Vote YES to AV
I really want AV because if a Pirate Party candidate ever came to my constituency I could vote for them and not worry about 'wasting' my vote. I can still vote knowing that even if the Pirate Party don't rank anywhere, I can still have a say and not have wasted my vote. You have no idea of how many people around here only vote Labour not because of any particular support of their policies, but just because they want to keep the Tories out.

Manga/Anime Discussion
Madokaaaaaaaaaaaaa Glad to see this thread is back. Madoka ending was awesome. Now I need Soul Gems to be sold as merch so I can buy one <3 For spring I'm watching Maria Holic Alive, Steins;Gate and (sort of) Nichijou. All are pretty good, I need to catch up on Steins;Gate though since my MPC is being awkward and lagging on some 720p videos for no adequately explored reason. Also I now hate my friend, I got her to watch a few eps of Clannad and Madoka and she didn't like either <_<

Royal Wedding
Watched most of it this morning, quite a nice event. It's nice to see a bit of patriotism now and again, something we don't often get here in our country outside of the world cup. I loved her dress, it was so elegant but not too over the top, really beautiful. The whole ceremony was nice and I went 'AWWW' every time the little bridesmaids and page boys were on screen. The boys in their little outfits... *squee* ^_^ I didn't want to miss it, what would be the point? It's not often we get these sort of events and it's nice knowing in the future that you can say you were at least a small part of it.

Vote YES to AV
I'm voting yes, I just think it's a fairer system.

External HDD
Yeah, don't get one with a powerlead for a laptop. I had one and it's just a pain, I have a buffalo portable drive but I've heard the Western Digital Passport type ones are good (mine's the same design). You'll never get one for 1TB, just a few hundred GBs, if you're after a portable one.

New Forum: Metagame Discussion
Lets keep it civil <_< I hope the new forum works out :) It's an interesting idea, I think, and I really hope that it takes off. If it doesn't, then there's no harm done.

Banning the burqa
I get that it might be a risk to security, but it troubles me that the moment someone covers up their face we automatically assume they could be a terrorist or something. I worry that we sacrifice too much in the name of 'security'. Of course this doesn't apply to sensitive places like airports, where you clearly shouldn't be able to wear such apparel.

Your Unique Talents
Ooooh cross stitch! I got into it when I was young since my mum and grandma did it. I still have a crap load of thread and needles hanging around but I've never really completed anything properly. I don't have the patience for it tbh. It can be enjoyable though (when you're doing it right!)

Banning the burqa
While I find wearing of the burqa as not the best idea in the world, I disagree with the ban because of one quite compelling reason. Some Muslim women (not all, but some) are practically 'forced' to wear these clothes. I have a friend who is forced to wear the hijab and loose clothing by her dad, but when she comes to Uni she takes it all off because she doesn't want to. She wants to leave the house but can't because she doesn't want to be disowned. Therefore it's not a stretch to believe that some women HAVE to wear the burqa. So, if the burqa is banned, these women aren't going to put in a hijab as replacement. They're just not going to be able to go inside. It's oppressing them under the name of ridding their oppression.

Tip.It Times - 10th April 2011
Sorry I misspoke myself. I wanted to know "how" to get an article published. Not how to submit one. I.E. What does an article need, what are you guys looking for that kind of stuff. I submitted one years ago and don't remember getting any feedback on if it would ever get published. And yea I think my bias opinions would be more convincing than that. Heck I think i could write two articles one defending bots and one demonizing them and have both be more convincing. I just got back into RS after about 2.5 year boycott so I'm sure few will recognize me. There's nothing fancy. You PM it to me and I say 'thanks' then put it away with all our other guest articles. When we're looking for a guest article, for whatever reason, or if the article submitted is particularly good and I feel we should publish it that week, a decent looking article is picked out. It's then edited for grammar, spelling ect and published. We don't have time to inform authors beforehand if their article is going to be used. But what we're looking for is just a 'good' article. An interesting opinion, different take on a subject... something unique.

Tip.It Times - 10th April 2011
I was wary that the topic might go into flames and such but I'm glad some constructive criticism has come out from this. :) As for my article: I've both been told "You should stop saying just what everyone is posting on the forum." and now that I SHOULD be. I'm not quite sure what you want from me :P Also I resent the idea that I'm in love with MMG these days. In the past it was true but the last year hasn't been so magical and we're divorced :P I would like to direct you to these critical articles. And when I'm not taking a negative stance I try to maintain a more balanced one, looking at pros and cons. I don't pretend it to be unbiased. If you gave two people the same subject matter to write about they'll both write different articles. To anyone who really has a differing opinion on any topic and want to counter what we've wrote then please go ahead and write a guest article for us! Talk about why you think that article is wrong and put forward your own viewpoint. I'd actually like to see this happening now and again to promote more dialogue and discussion on articles and give people the chance to voice their opinion on the much more exposed platform of the Times, than the forum :)

TIF is bit over-moderated
(All mods are green :P) Also no, you're not allowed to argue and use words that we censor. I don't know exactly what incident this was but censor evasion is clearly against the rules and if a post quotes that word we're gonna have to edit it out or remove it along with the offending post, or remove posts that make no sense when the offending post is removed. It's common sense.

Today...
Y'know, I regret not having any more stages of education to go through now. I'm missing all the prospectuses and, most importantly, FREE PENS. At college we went to this University exhibition and there were just a load of University booths with prospectuses and free things. I came back with about 20 pens, 4 bags, playing cards, bouncy balls, those little fuzzy things, everything :D I miss that :( They were even giving out chocolates...

Sucker Punch
Watched it today with 5 friends. Was a fun film, bit of a twister since I was angry that the trailer had showed this whole insane asylum thing then it turns out to be fake... then I forgot about it, then it all came back :P Good stuff. Action sequences were fun and exciting. Nice to laugh at the OTTness of them but you can put aside this because it's imaginary stuff, so whatever goes. I liked it :) Awesome soundtrack, too.

Things you don't like on your opposite sex
Yeah, smoking is a huge no for me too. As for drinking I'd probably have more in common with a non-drinker like myself, but I don't really hate people who do drink.

Things you don't like on your opposite sex
I love how there's ONE post on men here and the rest on women. Not sure if I should laugh or cry. Anyway: Really strong men - I'm small, I don't want to feel like I could be snapped in half by a guy. Too tall - again, I'm a midget :P Doesn't give me space. I don't think of this sort of stuff off the top of my head but then there's stuff like accepting who I am & how I dress, not making me feel insane, which are more general traits I'd like from anyone.

04-Apr-2011- Livid Farm
I'm rather enjoying it so far but I need to stock up on way more runes. Might take a while but since when did Runescape not involve some grind?

Lolol should have stocked up on them :( Wow, I bought a mystic for 35k long time ago and still have it. I recently lost mine but earth staff & tome of frost ftw? :D
