Money Making
Torstol isn't quite that profitable outside xp weekends, though, but it's good. Also I think Litterbug meant black demons, as those are decent xp (~75k melee, ~50k ranged), charms (120 crims), effigies (under two hours per effigy on average) and break-even to profit. Those are off-task figures not including gold charms as well. I would say, either go slay, or do black demons. Your ranged and summoning levels can use a boost for tding. I would recommend tding even if you need to get those 75 quest points. While Guthix Sleeps offers a good cash reward & 400k xp.

PIetying tasks
^That setup does work well for slayer tasks but you want to borrow a BCP to tank the 90's better. [hide] The base slayer gear is as follows (alternatives in brackets): [For all slayer monsters except those mentioned under other weapons] Chaotic rapier (whip) Bandos body + legs (Verac's skirt with either fighter torso or proselyte top) [Depending on prayer/accuracy needs] Fire cape/Soul Wars cape/Ardougne cloak 3 Barrows gloves (your best rfd gloves, at least rune) Dragon boots (rune boots) Amulet of fury (glory) Dragon defender (rune defender) Berserker ring (i)/ferocious ring if slaying in Kuradal's Dungeon (berserker ring, warrior ring) [Most important] Full slayer helmet. [For magic defence on waterfiends/aquanites] Karil's top and elite void skirt (black dragonhide body and chaps) [Crush attacks to use on waterfiends] Chaotic maul (Saradomin sword, Zamorakian spear) [stab attacks for higher-levelled dragons, when not using rapier] Korasi's sword (Zamorakian spear, leaf-bladed sword) Task-specific items such as mirror shields, antifire shields/potions, elemental shields, rock hammers, crystal chimes Cannon (optional, up to personal preference) Slayer setups generally emphasise strength bonus, which increases the average damage of each succesful hit (slayer monsters usually having rather low defence, hitting is not a problem). Secondly, prayer bonus is important to keep the cost of prayer potions down (as you slay with piety on, to increase the speed of your kills. This is cost-effective and highly recommended). As a rule of thumb, +15 prayer bonus or above is good, but don't overdo it (anything above +25 is a waste). Defence and accuracy bonus are usually not fretted over (any defence bonus over 200 will do; if you get hit too often you should be using a protection prayer). Dagganoth, black demon, lesser demon, hellhound, bloodveld and spectre tasks should be cannoned, as it dramatically increases xp rates (although it costs a bit). Some notes on gear: You'll want a fury and a berserker ring before you get bandos plate, and get that before tassets. You'll want accuracy bonus on higher-levelled dragons; if using stab attacks (which you should) you can use the Ardougne cloak 3 which provides you with +6 stab and +6 prayer bonus. Torso + sw cape and fire cape + proselyte are common cheap top/cape combinations; the former is better. Some levels to get for slayer (in approximate order but I'm not sure on the summoning): 68 summoning - bunyip 81 dungeoneering (you need 2 million xp, which takes you to level 80, but allowing some tokens for the scroll of life) - rapier 89 herblore (85 with a +4 stew boost) - extreme potions, superantifires 95 prayer - turmoil and soul split 88 summoning - unicorn 96 herblore (91 with a +5 stew boost) - overload 99 summoning - steel titan I'm sure I missed something but this is most of it. [/hide] Still has 15-25 prayer bonus recommended inside but you can of course let it drop as far as you like (you won't get it below 9 in maxed gear anyway). I'd use a soul wars cape off-task camping stuff, like frost dragons, black demons etcetera. It's also usually one of two prayer boosting pieces you can use in nearly every setup (the other being a fury).

Waterfiends
Off-task that is. Weapons go maul > ss > zspear. Use a full slayer helmet on task, if you take too much damage in void first switch to Karil's top, if that isn't enough, use protect ranged.
-
Second Chaotic?
A maul will cover one task (waterfiends). Cls covers wyverns. Staff covers ice strykes. Crossbow isn't used in slayer. Boss-wise, the maul is used at tds and some Nex teams. The cls *might* be good for Nex (with divine) and it's ok (with divine) at Graardor and good for Zilyana (solo tanking, again with divine). The staff is only for Rex, the crossbow is for small-team Nex and solo Kree'arra and solo Zilyana (kiting).

DG tokens
I bought my gem bag for a random gorak task a while back and I use it quite a bit at black demons. On a good trip it gets me 5-10 gems and I just love gems <3:. Get a rapier, scroll of life, scroll of cleansing (yes, for the last 1.4m xp it'll save you 100+ torstol if you do extremes > overloads, which is around 5m). Also get the maul if you do tds or waterfiends and the crossbow if you Nex.

Help with hipness - Coming back to RS
^Scratch getting a torso. It's about 2% melee dps boost but that doesn't take into account cannonable tasks (spectres, bloodvelds, black demons, hellhounds, dagganoth are all over 50% cannon damage, sometimes much more). Overall if you want to save the 2-4 hours spent getting the torso, you need to get 200+ hours of slaying done. In that time I'd expect you to be able to obtain a Bandos chestplate, really. That's not taking into account that you can save a little prayer by using a proselyte top (it's not that much, but over 200 hours of slaying you can save 200+ prayer potions which is around 1m gp). Imbued rings: you spend 25 hours and a few million gp getting +4 strength bonus. This is equivalent to getting a torso (benefit-wise) but of course takes much more time. However the torso is virtually useless for bosshunting as you would use Karil's top (Graardor, Kril) or void (tds) for bosshunting, or you'd need bcp for the ranged defence (DKS). Imbued rings are useful until the very highest levels. The same reasoning applies to chaotics. [hide=My usual post] The base slayer gear is as follows (alternatives in brackets): [For all slayer monsters except those mentioned under other weapons] Chaotic rapier (whip) Bandos body + legs (Verac's skirt with either fighter torso or proselyte top) [Depending on prayer/accuracy needs] Fire cape/Soul Wars cape/Ardougne cloak 3 Barrows gloves (your best rfd gloves, at least rune) Dragon boots (rune boots) Amulet of fury (glory) Dragon defender (rune defender) Berserker ring (i)/ferocious ring if slaying in Kuradal's Dungeon (berserker ring, warrior ring) [Most important] Full slayer helmet. Shield of Arrav non-DIY?
It depends on your definition obviously, you could argue that getting void is not DIY as people 'give' you the benefit of their presence (ability to start a game) then again you could argue that it is DIY because there's no trading involved.

Black Demons
This. For the 209 you would need 9 urns as you say, and at a kill rate of around 300/hr max you can expect to take 40-60 minutes (depending on how maxed your gear is). Praying piety + protect melee wearing proselyte + soul wars cape + fury (+30 prayer) will cost you 1800 prayer points. At 70 prayer a single dose of prayer potion is 24 points, so you'll need 75 doses for the hour, minus the 70 prayer you already have, so I'd bring 18 or 19 prayer potions (4), 2 pure sets, 7 urns. Use a terrorbird or war tortoise to carry some of the pray pots (bring a second pouch, too) and fill it with ashes near the end to recoup some money. If you bank the 34 ashes left after 7 urns, that saves you about 170k?

Old player, frequent re-subscriber, never know what to do.
Moved to Help&Advice :). You can do scythe stakes? I'm not sure what you liked back then, maybe you could help us out here? In general I'd suggest: questing, bosshunting and pvp as the three things to try before you quit.

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
From mid January.. hoping to keep it untrimmed when i get 99 herblore in a few weeks. Slightly off-topic, but does dieing in f2p and then telegrabbing after the next 99 still work? That's epic, congratulations . Working on one of those myself :).

Tormented Demon's Setup
The chaotic crossbow is good for Nex due to the need for the shield slot (deflector, divine, elysian, spectral) but otherwise it doesn't have the dps. At tormented demons defence is not really an issue, so you go with max dps, which is handcannon.

Slaying for Charms
http://forum.tip.it/topic/280097-wip-effigyscape/ Black demons, black dragons, mutated bloodveld, dagganoth, spectres, dark beasts and iron/mithril/steel dragons have good effigy rates. Waterfiends and black demons have good charm rates. Greaters, dusties and nechs are a bit meh due to their low effigy and mediocre charm rates. Wyverns have decent/good charm rates but low kill and effigy rates. Ice strykewyrms are worth doing for the slayer xp & effigies. Basically, use Vex' task list for effigies but add waterfiends and wyverns. Remove perhaps hellhounds as they drop only golds and offer only decent effigy rates.

The "perfect" Smithing update
I'd like to see smithing/crafting/runecrafting/fletching as money savers first: runecrafting required to use and/or create rune-saving gears, smithing and crafting to (permanently) repair barrows and (permanently) increase the set usefulness. In my opinion all barrows melee sets could do with a one tick higher attack speed coupled with 80+ attack/defence/strength requirements and 90+ smithing. Ahrim's staff could be one-handed and Karil's crossbow could get +5 ranged strength or a few squares more range or so. Fletching is a bit tricky but it could lead to staves, like in dungeoneering (staff + orb is covered in crafting but staffs are still bought whole). If you could fletch battlestaves like you can smith ceremonial swords, except useful, that would be quite interesting. I'd also like the ceremonial swords to have 1.5-2 times the bonusus they currently have.

Saradomin Godwars
The reason you use a slow accurate weapon as opposed to a fast inaccurate weapon is that you are kiting Zilyana and you will miss attack turns. The rapier should have approximately the same dps as the cls if both are used with a defender, but it may not be noticable and maul is just better.
-
Good Summoning Ratio
Black demons will only profit if you bank the ashes. If you need money I would recommend farming (as you probably know :P). 5 farm runs should fund about 2 hours of demons? To be clear: I recommend not banking the ashes unless you have a yak.

Are air tablets worth it?
Tabs are not worth getting for runecrafting xp or profit, it's faster to run. The only useful tab is the astral tab to quickly switch from lunars (or to regular magic).

d claws
Stew to make extreme attack and strength, about 500 of each should do for now. Get bcp, v skirt, fsh, defender, barrows gloves, d boots, fury, berserker ring, soul wars/fire/ardougne 3 capes (all 3) and elite void (at least top, it's free after the quest). If you want to be a top of the line monster hunter, get imbued rings now. If you want to be a mediocre monster hunter (or better) get a chaotic rapier and void now. These benefit you more the earlier you get them. Your thieving, hunter and runecrafting levels are quite/very low, I'd get those up, along with others, to get all stats 60+. If you got money left for claws after this, keep them. I like them better than my tassets and I don't think the difference in dps is large enough to be worried about in general. I'd get your combats up a bit through slayer as well, 80-85 in all combats or so to start with.

96 Herblore or 95 Prayer?
On the topic of turmoil: You can get 29.9-32.9-29.9 percent boost at max melees fighting other max melees, but at lower levels you can get much higher. I used to get 32-35-32 or something and Brunokiller posted a picture of his turmoil pure getting like +60% defence. On waterfiends and aquanites (who have 1 strength and attack) you get only the plain 15% attack and 23% strength boost which is 5% less attack than piety. You do get more defence and turmoil drains only 3/4th of what piety drains (and you get soul split to heal with which is important for both). Usually you would keep turmoil on and get the full boost most of the time, but when switching over to a new monster you will see your displayed boost go down to the base 15-23-15. I do not know whether this is just a display issue or if it actually affects your hits. It should probably be tested.

Kree'arra hunting (solo or group).
Armadyl body, legs and Verac's helmet, alerter, crossbow, spectral or bss, ranger's boots/snakeskin, archer's ring, fury. You can downgrade to Karil's or even black hide but if you got that little money you are probably better off doing some skilling (for EEE) while farming. EEE is very useful at Kree because ranged spec weapons usually suck.
-
Good Summoning Ratio
Rich off pure essence - while you're spending millions on runes . With a cannon you get no constitution xp, and constitution is typically the first stat you max out if you spread your melees and range and mage on the side. For high summoning with low combats, do Bork (Varrock elite too, though it's a long way of course) and Familarization. Use familarization at black demons with a cannon for some melee and ranged xp. It's actually less melee xp than waterfiends and a little more charms, as well as better effigies (no con xp for those, but you can open them for summoning xp, so summoning:con is x:0). Keep your defence level a bit lower than the others. At 95 summoning you should move to chaos tunnel fiends with an iron titan. The titan trains defence to compensate for the previous step. At 96 summoning you can do wyverns and black demons for cash + charms. Though it is slow going it can help if you feel unmotivated to make money without getting charms. At 88 summoning you can do tds. Tds are probably the best way to make money with summoning xp on the side. Waterfiends are around 80k melee xp per hour and 130 crims (before iron titan), black demons add about 50k ranged xp (losing a few k melee xp) and 120 crims (more golds).

150!
Does that include MTK nests?

Nests . Gratz, good luck on another 50m.

Horn worth using?
It's worth investing some time to get a master horn & BA skill, once you get to decent/pro teams you will get a good xp boost from doing BA + agility as opposed to agility alone.

Slayer outfit
You use leech ranged when ranging, leech magic while maging (if your target has magic defence) but otherwise you should always use turmoil. Oh, and a full leech is used by the stunner (corping).
