  1. For Drumgun, I think that means he is making money - he doesn't gain any combat xp but it may lead to some impressive prayer gains later .
  2. On a target on which you have 50% accuracy with a max accuracy setup, you should go for the highest total atk + str (because atk = str in usefulness). So that's ardy 3, defender and berserker (i). If your accuracy is higher, str becomes better. So you trade 13 stab for 6 str, or 4 str for 5 stab. So you're correct that it'd be better to use fire cape or defender, or maybe both. Fire cape + deflector = 13 stab 16 str. Fire cape + defender = 26 stab 10 str. Ardougne cape 3 + deflector = 18 stab 12 str. Ardougne cape 3 + defender = 31 stab 6 str. I would say fire cape + deflector at 99 atk w/ ovl and turmoil. On Karil and Ahrim, this is the highest dps. But it depends on whether you spec with dds, claws or ks (I use ks or dds). But I don't have a fire cape :(. And I use the deflector for the tunnels, but it'd be better to bring a barrows plate & legs to switch to if you take much damage.
  3. I suppose you can always test whether non-combat magic works. If it does, do that, as you won't waste any xp on constitution. Superheating, cursing, plank making and amulet stringing are all decent xp methods.
  4. Yes there is, it's a little beyond the general store from the iron rocks. You need to have started Rocking Out to use it I think.
  5. Whip, d boots, berserker ring, fury, helmet of neitiznot, (defender), barrows gloves (regeneration bracelet), full slayer helmet/black mask, verac's skirt, proselyte top and barrows plate. For melee only, that is.
  6. I can make a guide too . Use this gear. Use a dose of overload right before starting the first brother. Pray turmoil and protect melee on melee brothers Torag, Guthan, Dharok and Verac. Pray protect range on Karil. Pray protect mage on Ahrim. Do Verac first. SS flash on the other brothers (but not Karil) in case Verac hits through your prayer. Use claw specials to do Karil and Ahrim fast if they are in the tunnels. Use soul split flashing to heal when doing the next run. You need about 3 ovls for 12 runs (one hour). In this time you'd use about 12-18 ppots depending on your melee stats.
  7. I removed some of the worst spam from this thread. Don't spam guys, or I'll set the dogs loose :shame:.
  8. At your fm level, kxbow > rune cbow > hc, it'll be too expensive and unreliable. If you have every barrows set, sell all but the following: Ahrim's top/skirt, Karil's top/skirt/crossbow, Guthan's platebody, Verac's plateskirt/helmet. That should give you some cash to work with. At your stats, get a chaotic. It's the biggest jump in combat power you can make right now short of dumping 200m in herblore or prayer. Oh and farm for money, it's like 4m/hr+ if you have at least level 85. With snapdragon (68) it's probably still 1m/hr. With juju, 2m/hr if not more. So work on getting juju & scroll of life.
  9. Skills at the moment make combat cheaper (smithing & firemaking for repairs & handcannon at the moment) and increase power (herblore). Runecrafting is a skill I'd like to see as a money saver (e.g. as I suggested earlier in this thread). I don't see high-level untradeable runes as a good solution. Though it could work theoretically. For fletching, the trouble is that current arrows/bolts will hit high already with the dark bow & very accurately with ccbow (dbolts, diamonds). If you make the extreme equivalent, you're going to need a larger (smithing/crafting-based) defensive boost. Meh I'm in favour.
  10. @ SirIzenhime: Jettrider said on a previous topic that 105 dg (8m xp) makes people experienced with their 3rd bind (hex/2h hybriding etcetera). @ Green: You'll just have to use 148 methinks. If you ask for 90+ 135+ teams and key yourself I imagine you should be able to do sub-40 minute floors with some practice, occasionally. But yes for the most part, it's still not the best. I know some pretty good keyers in 148 though and it's good to add them for future reference.
  11. I'd use void. You say you doubt it can push up your killrate much, but void increases ranged damage by 20%. You definitely want to use it. I have used void deflector + rapier + rcbow w/ diamond bolts, that works well. I've also tried maul + kxbow and I find the crossbow a bit inaccurate but the maul is great. Normal prayers > curses except with a steel titan. With a steel just leave turmoil on for faster melee. Once you get used to soul split flashing, you have an advantage when steel titan tding. You really can't learn to ss flash on prayers, so that might be a reason to use curses. Then again I believe Bladewing got 42 kills/hr with a unicorn, so you may want to do that (maul + hc, rigour, piety).
  12. Melee them. Wear barrows plate & legs, dfs/mind shield, use a whip. Tort to take bones, and some monkfish. Pray range if you find yourself taking much damage. Use piety.
  13. I think spirit shields are pretty much the only ones without an attack penalty, but the dragon square shield is pretty cheap and effective.
  14. Since inventory space usually isn't a terribly big deal (short banking time) you can afford to bring a spare. You can expect around 800 shots per explosion and you have to bank when they both blow. Generally, you only use a max of 1 (1200 shots per hour non-stop firing).
  15. He had a thought that KS isn't actually good for the ancient cavern cause it hits multiple fiends and draws aggro....
  16. Using only crapier & prayer would be better than Verac's, ovl and such. Well maybe not quite but you get the idea. Korasi's is better.
  17. I've went through it. Could you please interpret this? As far as I know, it top out near after F36, so that means that I maximize experience if I just rush all floors other than 36+, and just dung in larges with those? You need to enter data relevant to yourself, e.g. time it takes to do a large and time it takes to do a c1. The current setup shows the xp/hr equivalents of 60 prestige, which requires 119 dungeoneering. At that point, you'd want to do larges from floor 40 onwards. There is a critical point and that's all very nice but in general most people just do 30+ larges and screw the math :P.
  18. Yes. The maul can be used to kite which kinda negates the speed disadvantage. Secondly it hits well.
  19. In order: Get rigour (takes time but no cash) and use that w/ maul and handcannon (& uni) Get rigour and use that with other weapons (& uni). Get turmoil through farming and use steel titan (which relies less on your own ranged atks).
  20. They updated the healers so that they will heal Jad if they are close enough to do so. E.g. just hitting them once and getting them stuck behind Jad will make them attack you, but since they can't do so they heal.
  21. Piety is strong belief in a god, and servitude I suppose. All gods have that. I wasn't saying that it isn't the case that Saradomin handles prayers (of players anyway), but that it doesn't make sense. However to actually make it so that you could choose would make little difference.
  22. Shield is ok, your own damage isn't a big deal. Protect mage is better with melee gear.
  23. Grimy has a draft calculator for this, link in my sig.
  24. You can't actually cast crumble undead on non-undead afaik. But yes slayer dart ignoring attack penalty is a myth & the spell is ridiculously weak.
