  1. You are 99 magic, why not do waterfiends or some ranging method?
  2. I'd say melee them (tanking) in verac skirt/guthan plate, neit etcetera with whip + defender or chaotics, or the salamander method. However salamander damage depends on magic level iirc so you can do with some magic xp. Not that that's a reason not to barrow, your stats are good.
  3. Plenty of people say they can deal with dungeons without a plate.
  4. Your prayer goal is around (little under I think) 8m xp, so at the 18.5 gp/xp Blake mentions that's 150m or so, bit less. You can get 400k xp from WGS and 450k from Blood Runs Deep (requires level 75 to claim) and 70 zeal from Nomad's Requiem. 100 zeal gets a 10% bonus and is 270k xp at level 80. With all that you cut like 20m off the price, you have say 40m you can spend, so you're already 40% of the way done . So yeah go quest. Blake covered money. If you can stand them, dragons profit nicely, blues and greens being easy to kill.
  5. Rapier. It'll perform very well anywhere & usually (if not always) beats cls.
  6. I fully agree that superheating beats alching by the way. Smithing xp is pretty valuable in general imo. Grimy doesn't seem to have rates on superheating w/ coal bag. However if you are taking four seconds to right-click coal and select withdraw-26 (or withdraw-all) and then four seconds to right-click your coal bag and select 'fill' then I think that's the problem. Tip: have your bank full, and have the bars you are making banked (but not natures). This way you can use deposit-all. Then you want to fill your coal bag (with 26 coal) using withdraw-all. Then: Steel: 17 ores, 8 coal. Set withdraw-x to 17 and use withdraw-all for filling the coal bag and filling your inventory after withdrawing ores. Mithril: 10 ores, 14 coal. You can use withdraw-10 for ores and withdraw-all for coal. Adamant: 7 ores, 16 coal. Set withdraw-x to 7. Runite: 5 ores, 14 coal. You can use withdraw-5 for ores and withdraw-all for coal. Because of deposit-all, extra coal is all dumped back into your bank. You can cast up to 2000 superheat spells in an hour without banking.
  7. Thing is that ideal account can only dg with other ideal accounts <_<. High-levelled monsters will still one-hit that. But yeah if Pure Kq Pax had 68 magic and could use ssh, that'd make him a better dger :P.
  8. Font . I'd say, third bind wise: hex > blood neck > plate unless keying in which case hex = plate > blood neck.
  9. You wouldn't use it if you were ranging/maging unless at tds w/o deflector and using rapier/cls. You wouldn't use it if you were killing Kril/Graardor/Zilyana, unless you were crashed at either of the first two (Zilyana is done with 2h weapons anyway, or you'd be tanking her with divine which beats the defender). You wouldn't use it at dks (overlaps with point 1). Err you wouldn't use it at waterfiends, corp or other places where you have to use 2h weapons. It's the best on-task off-hand item slot except at wyverns. It's also the best off-task if you can't/don't want to use void. It is quite weak defensively especially versus ranged and magic so it's not always used in bosshunting. The deflector is better at tds (unless you use a 2h melee weapon of course). All these notes basically leave slayer :P. I don't use my defender much but it's worth getting for sure. Also I might add that not many people like to use elite void everywhere as it has such low defence. At many places you may have to use protect prayers or unicorns or soul split, so that'd give an advantage to bandos + defender.
  10. I think he means fast. If you are taking another 8 seconds fill a coal bag, I think that's it. You can fill it from your inventory I think?

Eh Zaaps, I didn't say charm-wise for nothing :P. The last sentence on my post is really garbled. I meant to say that if you were training magic anyway, bursting is good, but if you want summoning xp, don't bother with battle robes and use Ahrim's or do waterfiends. @Vex Waterfiends crimsons/hr is about 130 at my stats (90-89-88 & maxed setup but off task) so that would go higher I assume (you have them at 120, so about 8% more would be an equivalent of over 160 crims/hr. Meaning you'll be paying 250k to save you 1/16th of an hour, which is 4m/hr excluding battle robe recharge (if you make that kind of money, recharging the robes isn't worth it). Or 8m/hr in Ahrim's or so. Then again your burst rates might get higher at better setups etc. Barraging is 500k + recharge to save 35/205th of an hour which is like 10 minutes, so 3m/hr income excl. recharge, but if you make that kind of money, battle robes are again not worth it. So battle robes can be good for summoning (pure summoning) if you can barrage but not do ct fiends. You would save 90/150 or 36 minutes paying 500k + recharge. If we take crimson drop rate at 80%, you can get 160+ kills/hr @ 1260 lp @ .4 xp/lp = 80k xp/hr (and 26k hp xp). In the chaos tunnels you're getting another third more kills with an iron titan which would give you defence xp, or about 26k defence xp. Familars train con as well I think? So that's around 8k more con xp for a total melee xp of about 106k and 35k con xp, off task.
  12. Chinning is the fastest hp xp but I'm not sure whether you should chin skeletons or soul wars.
  13. Oh yes I do, yeah. Silly me. I'll correct that. Done.

Farm, dailies, frosts, tds, dks. The first two are good without turmoil, tds are good without turmoil if you have a unicorn, frosts are good without turmoil if you lack a yak, dks are good as well (eagle eye does help a bit & ss mainly works on staying power anyway).
  15. Quyneax replied to Sephy_'s topic in Help and Advice
They are not really worth it by the way. I see you have 81 dg, which I take means you have one chaotic. This means you'll likely be able to make enough money at tds that battle robes are not worth it (note: even without chaotic you should be able to). In fact, bursting with battle robes is always less efficient than waterfiends charm-wise. 8 hours of bursting with them = 10.5 hrs (maybe 11-12 since you don't have turmoil/extremes) at waterfiends, with waterfiends profiting about a million in that period, bursting taking a recharge & a few million in bursts. Of course for magic xp, summoning is nice, but if you were to hunt tds, ranged would be more beneficial to you. You could perhaps cannon black demons (which is like bursting, but ranged).
  16. It depends on your firemaking levels. At 90+ fm, I'd say use it & bring a spare. Yes it's worth it. You should be at 108/85 permanently. Kxbow > rxbow, however if you are using a rapier it may be inconvenient to use a 2h ranged weapon.
  17. Cheaper bones will get you more prayer xp in more time. Spawns: 4, 6 on an empty world. Easy to kill, quite crowded, spawn time normal. At your stats, 2m/hr or thereabouts.
  18. TDs were supposed to be 5m/hr back then, but only for the really fast people. Now it's 4m, which is still for the fast people.
  19. Rapier + rune crossbow with turmoil is what I use, works pretty well, but ss flashing really is only relevant with a steel titan. With a unicorn, you don't need healing. Maul + handcannon/kxbow switching piety and rigour takes another (prayer) switch but gets you faster kills. The rapier should come first. After that, I think rigour, then maul. Strictly looking at tds. For general use, the crossbow is pretty nice for dks, arma, nex, the maul for wfs, bandos, nex.
  20. I use the for piramid plunder... 3 doses per run with EEE. 4k to go :). I imagine they would work for LRC as well (mining, superheating, dropping; not sure how much space that leaves) if you mine on an empty world. You can also use them to speed up slayer tasks (claws + spec recovers + kuradal's, borrow them if you can get them for free ). I also bring like half an inventory to BA which allows me one or two additional dds specs per wave.
  21. Cannoning crawlers is only 60k/hr at 99 fishing, so no. However assuming you also have agility, runecrafting, woodcutting, firemaking/cooking, herblore/hunter and construction/thieving to max (and levels to open all effigy stages) then yes, crawlers are probably faster.
  22. Quyneax replied to SpikeStr1ke's topic in Help and Advice
Try some more tds. I very much doubt you have done over 100 kills (it probably takes more than that to become actually good at switching, I know it does for me <_<).
  23. Just finish reading this list :).
  24. I don't know what you do with the shields, but I'd sell both and get overloads, unicorn, chaotics and 75 construction (altars in dg), 83 fletching (mahjarrat quest) and some other random stats if you feel like it.
  25. Void range is important on tds, as it's the only source of ranged damage boost you can get there. Together with the maul, kxbow is pretty good, or handcannon if you have a good firemaking level. I personally spec with EEE, as it works nicely with overloads. If you don't have one, I'd recommend getting one. The halberd is really quite slow.
