Elite clues from Bork + Skeletal Horror
this may interest you: http://www.webcitation.org/5t5rruBYB it has many lovely quotables such as: and comments about dragon masks having a drop rate of 1/1000 to 1/9999 and third age having a drop rate between 1/100000 to 1/999999 ^granted we don't really know what that drop rate really means. It could be drop rate per scroll. or it could be drop rate per item slot per scroll.

Superheating XP rates help
dunno about coal bags, but my smithing spreadsheet has fairly accurate data that i recorded before coal bags existed. http://forum.tip.it/topic/254457-grimys-reference-spreadsheets/

dungeoneering
60k-80k xp/hour with a completely random team for your 5:5 larges 80-100k xp/hour if you can do 5:5 large floors in say 30 mins for abandonned and occults in 40 at your current prestige. i don't think you'd get much higher than that unless you found your way into a very good team, despite a lack of connections.
-
dungeoneering
you got to 85 dungeoneering and you don't know yourself? It's alot harder for us to tell you, since we don't know your habits.

How to lower your defense
zamorak brews seem like a viable option. They're already a cheap form of prayer restoration, since you're praying anyways. if implemented properly, this could increase kill rates at say, dark beasts, by up to ~3% and up to 1.5% at abyssal demons I'd wager.
-
How to lower your defense
Was curious if there was any good way of lowering your defense level (or negative equipment bonuses) Dragon battle axe spec comes into mind, but that lowers your other stats too so it's not ideal. The point of knowing this is that you can exploit deflection prayers with this. They only deal damage if your enemy would have hit you. and that only happens when your defense is low. for deflect magic this is somewhat trivial since you can just wear metal armor. But negative melee defense is a little harder to find. just curious, this would be useful in a few scenarios if it can be implemented with ease.

I have friends hoping for acolyte temple armor, since the temple knights are involved.

Occult monsters
are any of these guys extremely weak to stab by any chance? I haven't really used stab weapons since the class rings came out So I'm rather curious as some of these guys can have pretty obscene defense to slash/crush. so: Fire giants Hellhounds Lesser Demons Greater Demons Black Demons

Clicks per hour
Doesnt Qeltar have a fairly large moneymaking guide out? I think money makers over 1.5 mil gp/hour, qeltar requires membership to his site for? his lists of money makers list was always capped at just over 1 mil ish gp/hour, which is pretty low nowadays. granted i never bought membership to his site.
-
Clicks per hour
I've considered doing a list of efficient money makers, but I've never gotten around due to subjectivity. It'd be a lot of work getting kill rates and drop rates. For example: we'd need to know the draconic visage drop rate rather accurately to estimate the expected income of iron/steel dragons. I'm a little picky about what I spend my time working on these days, since I'm pretty busy irl. I wouldn't have any more idea where to find such a program than you would :P But sure, we could something like that eventually. But don't quote me on when =\
-
Clicks per hour
oof, I can't really write my own programs :P I'm thinking of doing it for training methods as opposed to money makers. My spreadsheets don't really cover money makers. =( i don't wanna write a spreadsheet reading guide. I think I had instructions in my guide at some point, people just don't read them. Maybe they'll read it if I put an image icon that says "How To Read" on it :P. I'll think about it. I'll probably make it an option in the income spreadsheet, to count the value of clicks linearly or not.
-
Clicks per hour
so obviously it's more efficient to train without having to click as much if possible. I figured, once jagex implements the make-all update in october, it'll be as good a time as any to add clicks per hour to my spreadsheets But it's a lot of work that I won't want to do if it doesn't actually make a difference. I could even add a gp value per click, (granted value of effort probably isn't linear) That way people can estimate if the extra effort is worth the xp or not. example: barbarian drop fishing might be faster xp. but it's more clicks per hour. I could factor that into the efficiency ratio at the end.

Hunter Advice Efficiency Matters!
ruby harvests, definitely aren't 100k hunter xp/hour at lvl 80 maybe 80k? it's hard for me to say, I was already much higher than 80 hunter when i stared barehanded butterflying. but 80k hunter xp/hour is a reasonable estimate. you can calculate the agility xp/hour from there.

What other fansites do you commonly use? And how can tip.it expand itself to compete?
Zybez has a nice penguin location checklist. Zybez also has a "last GE time" thing, granted it's extremely inaccurate. Zybez also does not have any remote shortage of graphics artists working on the front page. TBH I only come to TIF for the forums, we definitely have the most talkative forum community. Don't really use guides anymore. RS wiki is the ONLY fansite that has data on game ticks that i know of. And since rs wiki's game tick data is updated rarely (some data points have been incorrect for years) this leaves much to be desired.

Void quest: Just got enough PC points for my void set >_< hope the reward is something other than more pc points lol charm sprite: 99 summoning and 92 hunter already =\ Unless the new minigame earns over 150k hunter xp/hour, I probably won't play it since barehand butterflies are already such beastly hunter xp make all: just got 99 fletching/cooking/crafting/prayer in the last 2 weeks lol darn my timing >_< ugh I'm not gonna benefit at all from the updates this month. Doesn't make all mean you can't make-x (99) bones @ altar and just endlessly withdraw from familiar?

Efficiency
wait, bladewing elaborated on his. you just refused to believe that speed = enjoyment. We've given plenty of arguments. You've done nothing but kept on asking for more more more. There's a limit to how willing people are to explain their beliefs. We believe that fun is a part of efficiency. I'm sorry you can't just take our word for it, or even our explanations. and when did I say that i calculate every last drop of xp to the hour. I never said that, you're still reading our explanations with too many assumptions in your head.
-
Efficiency
dude it's been answered about two dozen times in this thread. I'm starting to believe that you just refuse to believe our explanations
-
Should i get a chaotic?
So you're saying, do f1-10 as a large? What do you mean by the lowest floors. The deepest floors, I assume. As the floor number increases, your actual location descends deeper into the ground. The lowest floors would be highest number floors. just FYI, that spreadsheet requires you input your own values. If you're just reading the spreadsheet, and for all you know, someone else input completely BS values. the result you just read could be complete BS <3

Efficiency
I stated this before. I *choose* not to consider fun in my efficiency calculations. That doesn't mean I think fun is not a factor in efficiency. I do my calculations, purely in terms of gp/xp/time because measuring fun is ultimately impossible. That does not mean I discount it. efficiency calculations are a tool. I don't expect a monkey wrench to give me the answers to life the universe and everything. but I use the calculations anyways because they're useful for their purpose, even if they are not perfect. I do computer modeling for research in real life. For example, lets say I want to model the in flow and out flow of people in a room (This is useful for say, building construction companies, to ensure there are enough exits from a building such that people can exit in a reasonable amount of time). I mean sure, I could factor in that there is a starbucks 1 block down, and people are hyped up on caffeine at certain hours, and thus exit the building more quickly around those hours. but honestly, I'm not going to. Because factoring in everything just takes too much effort, and isn't reasonable. The same logic applies to fun + efficiency calculations. We acknowledge fun is an existing factor. We just don't calculate it in our math, because it is practically impossible.

Because they made an impromptu promise at runefest. They're just keeping their word.

29-Sep-2010 - Guaranteed Content Poll: Dragon Scimitar Redesign
I don't see a point. They asked the gamers at runefest if they disliked the current design, and the vote was unanimous. There's no way that the original sword would win. Far too many players would vote against it. Think of it this way. If players voted for the original instead of their second favorite design, their vote is wasted. Their second favorite design would not be expressed in the poll, and may result in a different outcome in the poll. this is efficient if you are correct in assuming that a certain option in the poll has no chance of winning at all. nevermind kim, there is actually a "keep the original design" choice.
