  1. perhaps there exist spells that do not interrupt cooking? superheat seems like a possible candidate. I'd say string amulet + bake pie, but the simultaneous training ability of those were nerfed several months ago But it may still be possible
  2. and i am turmoiling forgotten warriors/monster examining them on my own <_< but it never hurts to have a larger sample size.
  3. yeap, but not all forgotten warriors are 99+ stats
  4. Could someone turmoil a few tier 7-11 forgotten warriors and tell me what turmoil bonuses you get from them? :) monster scan would be cool too but im not going to be that picky :P
  5. Jagex should take the opportunity to ban a few while they're all trapped in the same place :P
  6. i have a sample spreadsheet, where you can access and edit. Just copy and paste my code from there. http://forum.tip.it/topic/254457-grimys-reference-spreadsheets/
  7. why would you think that it stops the snapping in and out of objects. But alot of RS was already graphically designed to compensate for that in some areas. But now that RS is in Z-buffering mode, naturally, older pieces of content will not work well graphically. It was only logical that alot of older content would look weird when we moved over. Jagex will fix it eventually, and meanwhile Z-buffering means we'll be able to get wider combat stances, and bigger animations.
  8. perhaps i did not communicate it effectively, but it's useful to define "good" as overall efficient for the economy as a whole when it comes to merchanting. in which case, "good" can become objective. just like how you can determine if a training method is efficient for an individual (individual efficiency) there exists such a thing as efficiency of a group of beings To me: I look at 2 qualities when I want to weigh whether something is good for the economy or bad for the economy. Entropy and Efficiency. Communism, in theory, could be incredibly efficient. But entropy would dictate that, it's not a stable system, and even if it is efficient at some point, such a system would not last due to the pressures of corruption. capitalism, is pretty efficient, and very entropic. Because greed helps maintain the state of capitalism. I think something good for the economy, should be have some healthy balance of efficiency and entropy (as entropy always comes at the cost of efficiency) A manipulation pyramid however, is neither entropic nor efficient. Therefore, regardless of what I consider this "healthy balance" to be. Manipulation pyramids, are always, objectively, bad.
  9. I for one am tired typing up all the advice all the time. call me lazy, but here take this instead. http://forum.tip.it/topic/254457-grimys-reference-spreadsheets/
  10. fairness isn't a very good measure of what forms of merchanting are "good" or "bad" flipping can tends to be efficient, pyramid schemes tend to be inefficient I think that's a better measure.
  11. you spend a lot more time clearing mobs than killing the boss though.
  12. why would the dragon crossbow be better? it the pattern keeps up it'll have +102 range accuracy, and a special attack to the chaotic crossbows +120
  13. what would the point of the headband be? to boost your gem bolts?
  14. almost all high level dungeoneers who have owned blood necklaces in the past that I know of, have all destroyed their necklaces in favor for promethium platebodies. i've also heard it's a pain having to equip and unequip the blood necklace because it doesn't work well with the shadow hood. the damage to adjacent enemies can draw monsters when you'd otherwise want to be under concealment. just food for thought.
  15. Living rocks have like, no defense. Go for the best DPS and prayer bonus you can.
  16. making your own resources is almost never cost efficient. i would definitely recommend just buying your air orbs off ge.
  17. his named was pharnox or something like that his name started with phar :P he hate either a primal baxe or a 2h, along with the bow + shadow silk Too hard to say how it did on the bosses, I'm guessing it missed alot, and there weren't such massive hits that I could clearly tell which of the hits came from the hexhunter, and not the rest of us. sorry, that's all I remember
  18. I still do floors 30-47, because abandons tend to take less time than occults, and my spreadsheets don't account for that. (I'm actually thinking of adjusting the spreadsheet but haven't had the time), but i want ALOT more data before I start doing anything like that. On another note, I had the pleasure of seeing a hexhunter in action the other day. It definitely did not hit any 400+'s against t11 mages as according to rswiki, but I guess the ranger wasn't using strong ranging potions and rigour. I wasn't able to tell if it really was that much better than Pro2h's based on a few floors. From what I could tell, the accuracy of the bow was a huge problem. I think it missed on the order of 50% of the time against a t11 mage. might be better with proper ranged armor though, the wielder only had the bow + a shadow silk equipped when he ranged.
  19. u'd think elite diaries are an impressive enough achievement to justify adventure log entry, but no :P full elite done though =D
  20. does double damage on brimhaven dogs translate to beastly xp/hour for camping dogs?
  21. if you're missing over 50% of the time, yes. the +5 prayer is also nice at frost dragons, since I burn through prayer potions really quickly when using eagle eye + protection prayer I think of it this way, i can make about 460 super antifires per hour. Thats 40 hours of antifires per hour I spend I mean sure, purely in terms of efficiency, that might not be worth it. But it's nice to have a massive stockpile of super antifires, so I never have to worry about the shield Check out my DPS calculators. you know where to find my spreadsheets :P
  22. I think you're making defense sound far more important than it actually is. Alot of pro teams simply suggest fishing or planting of edicaps in Occult floors due to the brutal mob composition. And without armor at all, we manage fine, doing ~40 minute occult floors, usually without deaths. Eventually you just get used to clearing GD's without any armor at all. By then, armor becomes just a luxury. Why sacrifice killing speed for a little extra? Remember that not all monsters have an truly exploitable weakness. Fire giants may me weakest to crush, but their defense is still obscene. Brutes may be obscenely weak to stab, but you can't stab if you're using a 2h. Bats, being flying creatures, are resistant to all melee forms.
  23. Your house had to reload? And teak wardrobes are almost definitely worse than oak doors if you use planks, but if youre servant-cutting them oak is a little bit better like you said. yeap, found that unpleasant surprise last bonus week lol. PS don't forget zombie impling jars -> long bones bladewing calculated xp rate for cashing in + opening of jar time to be about 700k xp/hour at about 106 xp per jar (damn bladewing opens jars fast now that I think about it) bladewing's deleted his post about it, but that's what his data said.
  24. but having a single player with a hexhunter helps a team greatly. And I've gone through enough dungeons with just a 2h and shadow hood, that I really know how to deal with the lack of a plate. I mean as long as the hexhunter is your third bind, I don't see it causing too many problems. Think of it as taking one for the team. it's also -10 melee attack bonus which happens to be roughly equal in importance to strength equipment bonus on targets you miss more than 50% of the time on, which is a
