  1. willing to place a bet on that? :) I'm more inclined to believe that Jagex took the lazy way out and went back on their word Most definitely, as Maz had a Q&A session on the diaries 3 days ago and that was the answer, since it's already been coded and QAed there's no way they could have gone back the week of release to change that ;) 60k then? or would you have something else in mind :P
  2. sapphire glacialis/snowy knights are 100k hunter xp/hour for me and black warlocks are 140k xp/hour from the reports ive heard My gut tells me ruby harvests would be 80k-100k hunter xp/hour edit: RS wiki says ruby knights are 72-105k xp/hour

  4. Basically items to chance are not included meaning 100% mangled drop rate included (angry barbarian) How not sure I trust Mod Maz How is 93 slayer being implemented as a requirement if not with an ice wyrm task, somehow?
  5. that can be done with mangled bones though perhaps the elite one will stipulate chewed bones.
  6. please dont tell me chewed bones specifically are needed >_<
  7. note that was for essentially maxed out ranging gear. The numbers could be skewed otherwise for lower ranged bonuses. Just keep that in mind. Void range is VERY good however.
  8. I'll definitely stick with a 2H and shadow silk hood. the SS hood is just too useful, and you don't spend enough time fighting low defense monsters to see the difference and based on my DPS calculations, i'll stick with the 2H. You spend alot more time fighting higher defense monsters than lower ones. and by the time the primal 2h comes out, the primal baxe won't be that much better. I don't really key THAT often anyways. as for a third bind, it'll probably a platebody, but a blood necklace would make me think twice. I'd definitely bind a hexhunter over a platebody though.
  9. just do slayer, you're less likely to regret slayering than you are to regret power training.
  10. you still have to click the fishing spot again don't you? just curious, it'd be awesome if u didnt but last i tested, you still did. oh btw, fish flingers gives faster xp at lower levels up to 20k xp per round but the xp per round drops to about 16k at lvl 99 a round lasts 15 minutes most people come 2-5 minutes early though so the xp rate is 56k-80k xp/hour depending on how early you come, and your fishing level. It's definitely the best fishing xp in the game if you're, say, under lvl 70-80 fishing.
  11. I'd like to make icons for each of my spreadsheets, to make the front page a little more aesthetically pleasing. Looking for something clean, clear cut. Would anybody be interested?
  12. that's just his background :P *points to icons on left side*
  13. it's just jagex's new art style. You could say the same about the new cwars decorative armors.
  14. neither kharidian desert nor morytania were on the list when jagex made a poll of "what should the next diary be" the only two that were on that list, and havent been released, are Burthorpe and gnome stronghold. Seeing as you get agility legs from the gnome stronghold agility course, i'd say gnome stronghold is most likely the leg diary.
  15. buy 128 bstaffs per day anyone? :P
  16. 93 slayer? i hope this doesn't mean i need to get an ice wyrm task for the diary <_<
  17. Do you understand what the concept of a roll back is? Do you understand what he wants to say? The roll back only happened to one world, so what happens to the other guy who sold the mask? What happens if he already spent his money? So many questions open. I know that in other MMOs, some gamers try to time their trades with certain isolated rollbacks with the hopes of duplicating an item. The same logic can be applied to destroying items. are you sure they applied the rollback to a single world?
  18. it means if ur 99 strength, 99 attack and your attack bonus and strength bonus are about equal and if you're hitting less than 50% of the time on your target. THEN a +1 attack equipment bonus increase will help you equally as much as a +1 strength equipment bonus as opposed to usually, when a +1 attack bonus < +1 strength bonus
  19. I made the following post earlier today. Too lazy to reword it so here you go :P at 1000 def rating on the graph, full armadyl will be hitting ~ 25% of the time.
  20. i saw a nightspider on an ice solo once.
  21. Here's a rule of thumb I use: If you're hitting 50% of the time, or less, then a +1% increase to your accuracy roll is as important as +1% increase to your damage. so if your attack bonus, strength bonus, attack level, and strength level are about equal to one another. Then +1 accuracy bonus is equally useful to +1 strength bonus. This comes from the fact that in a dice roll style accuracy system, situations where your accuracy is 50% or less, the equation for accuracy simplifies to (Attack-Resolution)/2 * Defense. Resolution is defined to be the smallest possible number you can roll, so if you have high stats, you can assume resolution is approximately equal to 0. Further simplifying the accuracy equation to Attack/(2*Defense) fire cape: +1 attack, +4 strength. Ardougne cape: +6 attack, with a higher prayer bonus So if you're using a zamorakian spear, where your stab attack bonus is higher than your strength bonus, you MIGHT be better off with a firecape assuming your accuracy is sub 50%. If you're using a chaotic rapier, where your stab attack bonus is about equal to you strength bonus, you MIGHT be better off with a firecape, assuming your accuracy is sub 50%. ultimately it's too hard to say without actually knowing the target's defense, and then performing a calculation from there. but that's a rule of thumb I like to use, since the accuracy equation assuming dice rolls simplifies nicely, when you assume accuracy of under 50%.
  22. Lots of data here. Very good job :D I'm not sure if I'm actually going make a spreadsheet calculator on shade burning. But if I did, some time, eventually, would you mind if I used your data?
  23. by that you mean stuff like: idling time? overkill loss? Instances were monsters are killed in a single hit? DPS thread. I calculate DPS based around some of the theories developed in this thread. Although my calculator is ultimately not 100% the same as what is proposed in here. http://forum.tip.it/topic/270004-dps-calculator-project/page__pid__4360286#entry4360286 I'm more than happy to give out the DPS equation that I personally use if you want.
  24. assuming maxed stats, and based on my DPS calculator: On a target of 0 defense, rapier is 1.14x better DPS On a target of equal stab and slash defense, rapier is 1.14x to 1.0017x better DPS (never inferior DPS to the CLS) On a target of high slash defense, and stab defense that is so much higher than the slash defense that the rapier is better off slashing than stabbing, then the CLS is up to 1.09x better DPS And of course, if the stab defense is higher than the slash defense, but not higher enough, the rapier is still better. once again the only two monsters with high overall defense, and higher stab defense than slash that i know of, are skeletal wyverns and MAYBE graardor (graardor is just based on speculation) People have already started developing theories on how to calculate DPS. You really should start looking into these theories, instead of just relying on intuition.
  25. You've said this how many times now? The point is that once your maxed stats, rapier > CLS in all situations except for MAYBE graardor and skeletal wyverns. and even so, the CLS is only marginally better at graardor and skeletal wyverns. I assert: (assuming maxed stats) If the target's stab defense is less than or equal to its slash defense, the rapier is ALWAYS better than the CLS. By "ALWAYS", i mean it becomes a mathematical impossibility for the longsword to have better DPS than the rapier. and of course if the target's defense is low, the rapier dominates. This is the case for all dragons, tormented demons, and commander zilyanna. there are very few monsters with higher stab defense than slash defense. And even fewer with low enough defense levels for it to even matter skeletal wyverns definitely are weaker to slash than stab, and have high defense so the CLS might be good there, but it's uncertain. Some people claim graardor has lower slash defense than stab, based on the stats of bandos armor. But once again, it's uncertain.
