The return of staking??
people rarely allowed staffs on for mage staking... it was usually no equipment, or only boots or gloves on. I'm sure there'll be a "no dungeoneering rewards" checkbox for duels eventually Huh, I remembered doing 1 handed weapons only mage staking a while ago, but it was on a pure and for 1M or less increments, so that's probably why. ya pures would want wands enabled a lot cuz they didn't have the def lvl for infinity boots or barrows gloves

Skilling in Pro DG
Well as someone who doesn't take efficiency too seriously in dungeons but still goes decently fast, I usually stop to mine any katagon+ ores along the way and store them in the BoB, as well as any blue crabs. Whenever I stop by base I drop it all off or make katagon+ armor for the whole team... it's amazing how little food you need for bosses like the nightgazer if you're wearing a full set of armor.

The return of staking??
No professional staker will allow summoning... Summoning would only be used for the low lvl noob staker accounts, which never made big stakes unless they could get high lvls to multiply their bets

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
The fact that at the top it says "up to recent updates" and at the bottom is says "up to contact us" And the fact that he says "Jagex will exercise the right to keep Runescape the way it is, which implies that they already made up their mind no matter what and therefore the vote is just PR. Calling fake on this. Or the fact that the QFC is invalid :P

Staking stats?
In a nutshell, staking really wasn't about stats or skill. It was about knowing how much to stake and when-- the person with the bigger wallet always had the advantage. People who could trick you into "doubling" (or more) their stakes always made quick money off impatient people who gave in to their demands. The only skill-based staking style was probably mage boxing with obstacles on. It actually required skill to trap your opponent onto specific squares and then freeze them and attack them safely w/o being attacked by them Mage boxing w/o obstacles required some skill too-- knowing which pieces of equipment to allow depending on your opponent, and knowing which spells to use at which time. Keep in mind that your opponents aren't stupid. If they see that you have 80 attack and dungeoneering, they won't stake you unless they have the same stats/equipment (and a bigger wallet). The people who staked to get rich quick and made accounts purely for staking were ironically the easiest wins for me lol

The return of staking??
Did nobody on this thread actually stake? Staking was always under the strictest rules possible... often 1-items only, or mage boxing without any equipment. You never saw people staking with full sets of armor or all types of combat styles allowed

I did read thoroughly, however there is no form of account validation. You literally cannot abstain, because most likely your name was already snatched by a program and submitted already. The poll is just a hype-builder. So what are you saying, what are they building hype for? You do realize that many people will most likely quit if in fact this doesn't happen? Why would they quit?

Honestly, it's just a game, and no one really gets "hurt" if they die in the wild and lose their items. You're accountable for your own actions/possessions when you step into the wild. When it comes to choosing whether or not to attack people who mean you no harm, it's basically a choice of morality. But like I've said, it's just a game, and it shouldn't be that big of a deal if you attack an "innocent" player. That player, after all, is well-aware of the dangers he/she's up against. It's not like there's a strong correlation between RS-morality and RL-morality.

So, the old wild was just like /b/? The problem is that it would be increasing the risk of preexisting content (such as the Chaos Tunnels) while keeping the reward the same. I imagine that most players wouldn't bother using the tunnels when they'd have to dodge pkers every time they wanted to kill some demons/dust devils/bork/etc. Anyways, I agree with NukeMarine. In terms of combating RWT, reintroducing the old wilderness is just taking a step backwards. Jagex would need to relocate and rework numerous features added to the wilderness after open pking was removed in order to make the appealing to the players. I'm not sure that its worth going to that much trouble simply because they want to shoehorn pking back into the wilderness. Whatever happened to the whole "if it ain't broke, don't fix it?" mentality that Tipit users have had for so long? The current system is not broken, and the old system was not perfect. There's no need to make things the way they were. It seems to me that most players have simply been blinded by the rosy tint of nostalgia. I'm just saying that using places like that would be a lot more fun and exciting now if there was added risk, considering there's practically zero risk in the game nowadays. I hated RC until I tried using the abyss for the first time. I always enjoyed running to the Zammy mage every trip because of the thrill that RC PKers brought

Yeah, now I think you're just living up to your avatar. And the only argument for is people whining about how they want to try to destroy anyone who sets foot north of Edgeville. See, I can make generic negative-connotation statements too! Nice too see you guys have given up arguing your unwinnable point. More like I've realized that no matter how much I argue with people that derive joy from causing others harm, it's not going to stop them from getting what they want because of a flawed "voting" system. And no, Naraku, I'm not a PKer. Maybe because I have the decency to earn my GP in ways that DON'T hurt other people. Do you feel sorry for people who died after they entered the wilderness and read (or ignored...) the message that said "Warning! This place is DANGEROUS! If you die, you'll lose your [cabbage]!"

That would make the wilderness an exciting/nerve-wracking place to be (like it's supposed to be), rather than just some boring, barren wasteland without any real threats. Whatever happened to the concept of Risk vs. Reward? Muggi I thought you would realize by now that the new runescape philosophy is that long safe grind->reward Ah, thanks for the reminder-- I forgot about that #-o

Nuke, old wild was definitely not flawless. However, I think it's definitely the lesser of two evils, compared to the new dangerous PvP. One of my favorite hobbies was to go PK in Edgeville while disguised as a RC'er, and teleblock and kill all the RC-PKers :) It'd be fun to be able to hunt down cowards again

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
If it isn't biology then what is it? Love is emotions, feelings (biological and otherwise), and conscious decisions. Those are all biological components >_>

They love each other, but they are no longer "in love" with each other. There is a big difference. I'm glad you think you have the authority to decide when people are and aren't in love. Are you implying that love cannot be reduced to a mere biological mechanism?
