If you're training on thugs - I assume your combat is pretty low. Why not train at the monastery? It's the one near the dwarven mines/where you get the multicannon replaced. You can always ask them to heal you if you're low on health - although you should be level-ing at a decent speed and you probably wouldn't even need this function in an hour or two. I don't want to be insulting or anything, but you do understand 1 def pures yes? :s ? What does you being a 1 def pure have to do with training at monks? You can't train there if you have 1 def? I don't mean to be insulting but your comment made no sense at all.

whats that? You really don't want to start GWD at your level. I feel like you would get crashed a lot. Anyway, for a good money maker - start farming. It's annoying getting those first few levels - but once you can start farming ranarrs - the money will be pretty decent. IIRC, ranaars + supercompost average about ~100k a run? It's been a long time since I farmed ranaars so I'm not 100% sure but either way it's good money.

Is it just food that you can use on a fire/range?

Could be true, I didn't check prices in the past day or so. I assume you mean per patch though? That's not a concern of the OP, as he posted :). I did mean per patch, sorry lol. I checked the prices today of the most profitable seed, and it turned out that Snaps are 4k more profit per run than Torstol. How did you calculate this? I imagine if you're considering the scroll of life working every 10% and factor in death (take the trollheim patch out of this one) Compound this with juju's and over the long run - your torstols runs would be MUCH more profitable. Of course, in the beginning it may not be optimal but over the course of a week with like 3-4 herb runs a day - I think you'll see that torstols are better.

Are Torstols the most profitable herbs to grow?
LitterBug replied to Leoo's topic in Help and Advice
That's been true for along time. However, the scroll of cleansing offsets this price by giving you another snapdragon every 10 or so. (It feels like it's probably closer to 15% then 10%) -
I was fooling around earlier and I sort of noticed this too. When I was flashing quick pray with piety, I was hitting in the high 30's/low 40's with that yellow/red splat However, when I turned on protect from melee and had to switch it through the prayer interface - I noticed that there was a slight maybe 1-2 game tick lag.

That is what I am worried about those stupid kids who think pking is cool and I dont want to deal with those kind of people. I dont want my gameplay interrupted but stupid kids who have these stupid pure accounts and think pking is cool or fun, when it is just [developmentally delayed]ed. You have maxed melee - you can just go in cheap armor like black dhide and just bring a whip or a two handed item (ss sword maybe?). If you die, who cares if you just lose some cheap bdhide?
-
I find it funny how if one person says something - like 10 other people in the same thread will say the exact same thing... The OP never said that he was getting PK'ed on his way to CT. All he mentioned was that it is now currently unsafe and you can potentially be pk'ed on your way there. Not that it's probable or even has happened to anybody.

This, if you work on your construction/hunting after your scroll of life - go play herblore habitat for juju farming potions. Go do torstol in trollheim and snap everywhere else once you get this + that scroll of life. Shouldn't take too long

wait it's calculated before animation? So I should do it one game tick before the animation? Or a few game ticks before the animation?
-
Hey, I wanted to learn how to prayer flash but I'm not 100% sure I'm doing it correctly. So if i wanted to prayer flash - I click the icon right before I do the attacking animation right? Not before the splash?

That wouldn't be fair. You don't 100% hit somebody with range if their range armor is lower then your range attack bonus Likewise, you don't hit somebody 100% with melee if their melee armor is lower then your melee attack bonus 100% accuracy hits = way too OP. That would make multi-fight wildy very stupid. -
If that's the case - you have to account for the difference in your armor/other levels. Why not take it and go kill one monster and then check the difference? Maybe if you both slayer and just record the hits on monsters over the course of a few days/weeks. Then you compare the slayer monsters that you both had in common and compare those records. Keep in mind you have to keep conditions as similar as possible so you can actually determine if it's stats. You wouldn't want it to be due to item bonuses/etc.

Is anyone else just completely disappointed with everyone?

 Agreed. There is a lot of argument going on and in part - I believe, that some of this is caused by people who don't know the whole story. However, nobody is allowed to discuss the story - so, some people are arguing based on the whole story, and others are arguing based on snippets of the story they had to gather by themselves. Either way, this is (well, has rather) become a very circular argument and nobody making any progress. For the mods/staff that have been apologizing (even though they may have had nothing to do with this business), why not give us the full story? -
How is training range at the range guild? There used to be hundreds of bots there - so I assumed that it was a half decent place to train?

Sorry to hijack on this thread, but I always had a question about some of these achievement diary rewards. Specifically, for the Fally Shield - it claims you get a 10% exp boost to farming patches north of Port Sarim. Now is this any patch north of Port Sarim or just that one patch (right above the Explorer Ring teleport)? http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Tasks#Falador_shield_4

This tool is the god of summoning imo. Using tip.it ones you can roughly guesstimate how many charms you need to gather; then when you get close/get them you can use this to tell you exactly what to make it what order to maximise efficiency in terms of trade-in etc. I think OP is just trying to figure out how long he should camp for to get the charms needed. Unfortunately - there is no easy way to figure this out, seeing as the RS wiki "charm drop rates" are not entirely optimal (at least in my experience) Best thing to do is record like 4-5 hours of whatever you're hunting. Extrapolate that data, and see when you can hit your goal. It's just a lot of busy work :(

I think the thing was the punishment was not in accordance with their crime. If somebody trolls all day and just flames other users and is not banned, why would somebody who is blunt and makes sarcastic comments while providing useful information get banned? That just seems to point to favoritism and I think that's why everybody is so angry. -
Dungeonsweepers (DGS) - Huge changes; read first post.
LitterBug replied to Obtaurian's topic in Help and Advice
Good idea and grats to Jmmy! That's a good idea (to stop getting people who only pretend they read the terms) but what if it turns off potential players who are willing to learn? I'm sure if they DG'ed at all - they would be confused, or they would just think DGS is just some troll clan. Why not make it something weird and memorable but doesn't actually pertain to DGS? -
Theres not much profit in flipping with 11m best he makes up his bank theeen trys flipping 11 M is definately enough to start flipping with. Obviously you're not going to make 2-3 M per flip - but with 11 M, there are things I've used (and still use) that flip quite easily and have a return of about 8% ish. Log in once every one-two hours (even if you're going to do a herb run) and you'll find that most of your buy/sells would have already been done. It's not so much about the amount of money (of course it helps you have access to more expensive goods) but if you can find something that flips fast. That should be your goal when flipping.

lol..... Agile pures.... Don't hate :( You should've gone the Curses route. Accounts with 30ish Defence that don't have Turmoil aren't very good once they're maxed from what I've heard. I assume you used Chokex's guide? 40def+turmoil>agile pures L AND they can haz agile armor if they want why would you need to have 40 def? -
Hey, does anybody have link/jpeg that Quyneax posts up when people ask for construction help? I was thinking about some ways to rearrange my house and I couldn't seem to find that link/jpeg. I searched the forums for a few key words but they keep giving me random returns - so does anybody have it? Sorry to bother you!

Do you have any idea what the rate is at apes?
-
Hey, I was thinking about getting my thieving up a little bit more. My ideas are to either train via a.) pyramid plunder b.) thieving the monkeys on ape atoll Anybody want to give me any advice on Pyramid Plunder? Are the exp rates that different? If they are - I might as well go Do No Evil. However, if the exp rate is negligible - I might stay with Pyramid Plunder. I have a whole ton of quests to finish at the moment - and right now Do No Evil is not at the top.
