  1. Thanks for that. I will not use it yet. But some other time. I actually hate making of it most. Takes such time. +-500 hp stinks. Even if you get it back, when your at a boss waiting at 50 hp so that you get regen ain't a good idea. Use the Overload - log out trick. Saves 400-500 LP. And you shouldn't be safing against a boss anyways. Most of the time, it's safe hanging around 400-500 LP under max. Do you use it and log out right away? When you come back - are you stats being restored every 15 seconds? Or is it juts a normal stat boost (like from extremes)
  2. The reason summoning pures are so good is partially because they take so long to make. I think it's fair - getting 99 summoning is not easy at all, much less if you're not leveling combat
  3. Reporting the same person, no matter how far apart (within reason, not like 5 years or anything) reduces the priority for someone to look at the report. Or at least that's what I heard from a couple of player mods. Is that only for one person reporting a player or multiple people reporting one player.
  4. I think Jagex should work on banning bots that do things that have high leveled requirements. Ban the blue dragon resource dungeon bots, the frost dragon bots - and people won't be so likely to bot if they have to bot for a few weeks before they can even start botting there. Then they get banned for botting - would make people stop wanting to bot.
  5. It's definitely not the result of Livid Farm. If that were true - the price of runes would be shooting straight but nothing has been increasing nearly as much as pure essences. My belief is that: -in some part, its the breaking of the bots -in other part, i believe some people (it's not a bad idea) to go hoard some rune essences while the price is going up. The trick is just to sell before they start crashing. ^For those of you who are always looking for things to merch - stock up as much as possible before the botters get back on track and start sending 100's of miners there.
  6. Zspear is also useful as a crush weapon if you ever need that. So yes, zspear is > korasi + ddef for stabbing but it has no crush option. And for magic - pretty much anywhere (other then iceworms - you'll see a decrease in dps) You could however, do the ice strykeworms and lower leveled tasks since they're pretty fast regardless of what you do them off. Don't do metal dragons with magic, much too slow and it's annoying as hell too.
  7. Let's be sarcastic then ask questions! OP is clearly looking for profit when alching - i.e free magic exp. It'll be hard getting items which provide a profit but if given enough time, it'll add up.
  8. It wouldn't matter if someone had previously worked it out; as prices change. And for your information; grimy's spreadsheets have been down for several weeks and had been moved to a totally different forum. So good luck to you if you used them while they were not up/posted anywhere/had any data input. The links we posted were to the new forum. I've been browsing Grimy's forums for several days now, stop making assumptions  (If you look carefully you will notice the amount of untradables I am making is the same as the list God posted on The Efficienado's Forums) There are also spreadsheets created by Thunder from Zybez forums which I used when Grimys were unavailable. Something useful came out of zybez...this can't be true. On Topic if its cheaper to make the potions yourself (which is not the case...) then make them yourself. Otherwise you should buy them to make your extremes. Lol, what great advice. I'm pretty sure the OP knows that if he's saving money making it - he should make it... It was rather a question of - is it cheaper to make the super then extremes gp wise, or buy super make extreme but buy ingredients to other pots to cover the exp needed.
  9. Somebody is bound to calculate it - may as well be you https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AldEhLOK6ejJdEJqYmtJeFJGX1hPVm9kLWV0Rk84Z0E&hl=en#gid=0 I mean calculate in the loosest way possible - Grimy did most of the work already
  10. An hour isn't a long time to wait, especially because there are so many different floors going on at once. As a general rule, if you barely meet the requirements - don't expect it to come fast. This is true of DGS (don't think people just do F30's all day) or anything else in RS. You don't go catch red chins the very moment you can because it won't be effective (just as an example) You can always keep soloing from 1-31/32 C6 while waiting for a floor. Just start on the lower floors, and try to minimize your time - and keep working on getting faster at puzzles/bosses.
  11. Lol, if they did - people would train there more. The above statement is competely false (unless you train there with a bonecrusher)
  12. What exactly is that method? I believe you have to die in f2p with the cape on you. Level up in members - get the trimmed cape, and go back to get the untrimmed cape? That's what I seem to remember hearing anyways.
  13. beserkers are good for killing faster - definately better then a ROW. there aren't any ROW specific drops. Most people just see an increase in coins/gems when they use it.
  14. you might as well try to do quests they're great ways to level up and unlock some of the nicer things in the game
  15. I'm not sure what your def is, but you can easily switch out your torso for a pros body and if you have the money, switch out the glory for a fury Even if that's not much - you'll be saving a good amount of prayer points over a long period of time. You can also look into bringing a wrench/flashing piety. It's not too hard with a whip and you'll notice a pretty large occurrence of the orange damage splats. (to see if you're doing it right)
  16. That was a nice touch - doing all the math to prove it is actually indeed better Additionally, the calculations were done with 40k/hr from level 40-75 DG - which is conservative at the least.
  17. Since extremes provide a hefty bonus (+5 then + an additional 22% of your total level iirc), then you may want to boost every 10-15 minutes (when your stats are 10-15 above what they normally are) If you take 1 atk/1 str - you should be able to finish your slayer task - so if you consistently end up with one or two doses at the end of a task, then you might want to either change this number or tweak it for specific tasks
  18. Doesnt FSH have a higher mage defence than the Nezzy? I know the nezzy has other bonuses that outweigh thought of the FSH but wouldnt the extra mage defence of FSH be more important to keep the reavers off you? This. For some additional magic defense bonus you could check out - 1.) Mage Book 2.) Void Knight deflector (has a pretty balanced def stat bonus) 3.) One of those cheap elemental workshop shields 4.) Those broodoo shields from that stupid minigame
  19. It takes a while to charge up no? If you have no intentions of playing B.A for a long time/for other skills - you can always try ape atoll Bring some summer pies - and you'll be fine. I think you can do about 50~ish k exp/hour? This is without paying 100% attention.
  20. Look for a pair of regen bracelets. Awesome for many things (especially for afk-ing) Fire giants (may be a little hard to afk for you at the moment) However, I would advise - questing a bit (the simple ones - like the ones that unlock summoning) and do some slayer. Go get some charms and throw all your lamps/penguin points/what not into summoning. Getting 68 unlocks bunyips which = pretty nice healing With this, you can afk a LOT more and feel a little safer when doing so. I find that even when fighting monsters level ~100 or so, a bunyip + my regen bracelet is enough for the most part. Sometimes, it requres you to pray melee or something but it really only takes a few minutes to get your hp back up before you can turn them off
  21. Yes. I'm assuming you waste no time in between kills? If you did, that would not be very efficient... Yes, because you can teleport magically from one person to the next? When you're fighting - your player is staying still but other wise you're moving. Even if you assumed that there was no time loss between kills - that if magically you can automatically target the next monster, a player who kills them faster would still be hit less.
  22. I found that - there are a LOT more bots then usual. Dunno if that's true or not anymore. I stopped slayer a while ago to train on some of my other stats but I remember like 5-6 weeks ago when it was totally empty. Then all of a sudden - maybe ~2-3 ish weeks ago, there would be a few players in there. If you're paying attention - it's easy to snipe their dragons. There seems to be some inconsistency between their kill + picking up drops. They would target a new blue dragon, then after a while run back to where the old one died. Also, sometimes they would just randomly run around and try to switch to a new target while one was still attacking them. If you're just here for bones/hides - it might make more sense to just steal these partially killed dragons if you can grab them. (Don't know if there are still these botters)
  23. Faster kills doesn't mean less attacks on you. No, thats exactly what it means. Big difference: Hit 4-4-4 on a 12 hp mob (Get hit 2-3 times) Hit 6-6 Get hit 1-2 times Hit 12 Dont get hit, unless monster is aggressive Throw 0's in there and they have more attempts at causing you damage. And what happens after hitting 6-6 and being hit 1-2 times? You move on to the next monster and keep getting hit 1-2 times. The damage you give is as constant as the damage you receive, unless you're 1-hitting every monster-- in which case you're not receiving any damage however you should find a better training spot. The faster you can kill a monster just means the faster you can move on to the next monster... and continue getting hit. ...No? Let's assume for simplicity's sake that you and your enemy both have attacks on the same tick (I.e you both attack at the same speed) If you attack X times, your enemy will attack x-1 times. If you level up and x goes down - that means that you're being attacked less. In addition, the faster you kill them - the longer your "wait" time inbetween hits will be. Honestly, just use a little bit of that brain. Will a player with 99 atk/str and 1 def get hit the same as a 1 atk/st/def player? ...
  24. If you're training on thugs - I assume your combat is pretty low. Why not train at the monastery? It's the one near the dwarven mines/where you get the multicannon replaced. You can always ask them to heal you if you're low on health - although you should be level-ing at a decent speed and you probably wouldn't even need this function in an hour or two. I don't want to be insulting or anything, but you do understand 1 def pures yes? :s ? What does you being a 1 def pure have to do with training at monks? You can't train there if you have 1 def? I don't mean to be insulting but your comment made no sense at all. If he won't be leveling defense he'll still be taking damage at the same rate so he'll still probably need the heal function a lot, though since you'll be killing them faster they'll have less chances to damage you so your statement is still half-true. No, not at all. Faster kills = they have less attacks on you. Less attacks on you = less damage. That compounded with your healing more then makes up for it. Just try it out, in the beginning you'll get hit - but in a few levels, even if you're getting hit at the same rate - your need for healing drastically increases. There's no point in trying to arguing with it unless you test it yourself - it's actually a noticeable change.
  25. How in the world? Where are you getting these ideas from? It's definitely not an exponential increase but a linear one. There is a random chance of crafting multiple runes per essence so it's not guaranteed that your rune essense:rune crafted is any specific ratio. However, leveling to required multiple runes guarantees you that. -i.e 91 guarantees that for every one essence - you will get two out of it And to the statement that the probability of getting an extra rune is 60% at one level below is probably true as well. While, I haven't actually recorded the actual data for multiple levels - I do remember looking at it when crafting earth/fire runes (way back in f2p) and remember a rune/rune essense ratio of about that near the level before you get the guaranteed multiple rune.
