Earth really is pathetically small...
Yup, looking at the scales of the universe is just mind boggling.

Sharks! Watch Out!
A 99 is a 99. Not everyone achieved their cooking level of 99 in a week straight of no life cooking with cook-x, and not everyone with 99 fletching did so on rs2. I really don't think theres a single 99 that is "less worthy" as any other. So you're telling me that no lifing to 99 cooking with sharks and cook-x is the same as months of slayer tasks? I find that hard to believe.

Sharks! Watch Out!
I think it'll depend on how each cape looks. I imagine capes for stuff like 99 fletching or cooking won't look quite as good as ones for 99 slayer or herby, because they're more of an achievement. I'm sure they all might look good though.

What do you do in your free time?
Read, watch films (at night), go out with friends or stay in with friends. Listen to music on the pc, browse forums or the internet and play a bit of rs. I play my guitar a fair bit as well.

Stranded
That sounds pretty hairy, just shows you should never be afraid to turn back on a lonely road.

Today is My Last Day Of Runescape.
Mate, it's been a blast with you. First off, thank you again for the green mask and guthans (which i'm never ever selling by the way :XD: ). I probably haven't thanked you enough for that and I really am appreciative, but it's material. What I want to thank you more for are all the good times i've had playing this game with you, because those I can never repay you for, and are something that can't be bought. I've often found it hard making friends on a game like this, but you've been the best friend I could have asked for, so cheers for all the good times, they've been the best i've had on this game. :3> I'll miss ya, I really will, won't be the same without you, but i know you'll have a great life. Keep in touch, and let me know when you become a famous game developer. It's been one helluva ride, but i'm sure you'll be back to get 99 wc one day, and i'll hold onto that mask until you do. :P Good luck, see ya, and take care in the big land of IRL :)

US legalizes some torture, overturns hab.corp.?
I dont consider 9/11 to be terrorism. Its just war America killed civillians in the middle east for years and invaded countrys with no good cause killing thousands of civilians. Whats the diffence how can you accuse one of being a terrorist and not the other. I dont support tourture theres no excuse or reason for it this isnt the darkages altho the U.S seems to be a very backwards country. If the US had been going around killing innocent civilians in the middle east with no real justifcication then I wouldn't back down from the death penalty for those soldiers. A legitamate war shouldn't involve the deaths of citizens, and if the US really did do that then I wouldn't defend their human rights either. I'm not biased in my concept of justice. But there is no possible denying that 9/11 was an act of terrorism, deliberately targeting innocent non-combatants and symbols at the heart of the western culture. Even if the US had been doing bad things in the middle east, death shouldn't be brought to those who played no direct part.

Your opinion on the UN?
The idea: brilliant, should be revered and celebrated as a triump of man's willingness to try and cooperate for peace. In practice: it isn't working effectively enough. It's doing a lot of good things, but it's also doing a lot of nothing about some very serious things that should be dealt with. With all the things going on in the world it would be very hard for it to do a perfect job, but to me it could be doing better. Easy to say, I know, but I see the UN as the future for the earth.

"Duradel now sets harder tasks" ...O Rly?
They can't make all of duradel's tasks uber tough, just kill the pyrefiends and hope for a better one next time. Would a 199 steel dragon task make you happy?

Jagex shying away from community involvement?
It's much easier and safer for them to remain detatched, the community is too large for that kind of thing anymore.

Greatest Driving songs of all time...
I often imagine driving along a long lonely road with the top down listening to The Boys Of Summer by Don Henley, or even Road Trippin by the Chili Peppers. Not really "foot down and go" songs but pretty cool to drive to.

what books are you reading(or has read)
Good lord. I tried that book and it nearly killed me. Are you enjoying it? The small bit of it I read was very interesting but way too difficult for me. Does it get any better or should I just forget about it? Oh good lord, i remember having to translate that back when I did ancient greek (don't ask). I found it sleep inducingly dull.

US legalizes some torture, overturns hab.corp.?
No I disagree. Everyone should have the right not to be tortured. It's one of those things that I really really hate. The worst thing you should ever, ever have to do to another person is kill them. Torturing them, then killing them is barbaric, sick and cruel that even in the most extreme cases it shouldn't be done. I agree that your average citizen, and even most hardened criminals should never be tortured, but here we're talking about a terrorist who showed no compassion whatsoever for human life. Why should we defend his human rights? When someone is responsible for the deaths and suffering of so many people, is even death really justice?

what books are you reading(or has read)
Right now: Executive Orders by Tom Clancy and Miss Leavitt's Stars, a biography of Henrietta Leavitt.

US legalizes some torture, overturns hab.corp.?
I'm slightly undecided over this one. In principle, i'm not entirely against torture. However I don't think it's as effective as it should be for the pain that it creates. But I also believe in tough justice. My stance on human rights is also fairly confused. If someone is innocent, I believe that their human rights should be defended without question. However, I personally believe that when someone deliberately violates a persons most basic human right, the right to life, then the killer violates all their human rights. Of course this is based on circumstance and evidence, and in practice is hard to implicate. No system of judgement can ever really be 100% perfect, and so that's why I don't really believe in the death penalty in suspicious cases. Judgement should be circumstancial. So to relate this to the topic, if someone like Osama Bin Laden was caught, for all I care torture him as much as you want, (and here's where I might get controversial) even if it's only for the sole purpose of a punishment for what he has done, and not for the extraction of information to save future lives. To me, he has foregone all his human rights, and so why should we defend his? Of course this is a dangerous principle to appy to all suspected terrorists, because we can't be certain with all of them, and the idea of innocents being tortured really sickens me. So in the real world, I don't agree with torture, it's a dangerous power to give to a government like America's, because it could so easily make mistakes. But in principle, I don't disagree with the idea of torture.

Have Fun Dying are pretty good. The Letterpress aren't bad either.

The Killers - Sam's Town
I loved the Hot Fuss album, and I did like that one track i've heard off this current album. I'll be getting it, but i'm worried that it will be a product of mass manufactured light rock.

Che Guevara
Definitely an interesting cult figure, but I think that in reality he was a terrorist, or "freedom fighter". I don't know much about him, but he did do some pretty bad things in his time.

Best Book I've Ever Read
At the moment I love reading Tom Clancy books, and autobiographies. One of the best i've read was John Peel's. When I was young I really loved reading. I read a lot of Christopher Pike scifi, and there was one book with a silver colour that was incredibly profound and moving, but I haven't been able to find it since. EDIT: Just found the name of the book, The Tachyon Web

The only way to stop racism is to forget race
Couldn't agree more with what's been said so far. Having a society in which we are actively aware of race and deliberately attempt to even whatever imbalance might be based purely on skin colour, does no one any good. Political correctness in terms of race should be forgotten, it's not the "people of African ethnicity" who are offended by half of the things that you can't say, it's paranoid politics, and it needs to stop. As Adam has already said, disregarding race altogether would be the best way to forget this, but on the small level, it'll never work. At my school alone we get black guys who are acutely aware of the system and will use every opportunity to say something along the lines of "is it because i'm black?" with tongue and cheeck humour for a few laughs. It's harmless, yeah, but it's still encouraging people to recognise it, even if it's only the subconcious level.

New Update Survey
Area Sounds: 8 Nice addition, but slightly bizarre at times. Emote Screen:8 It's better. Orange Text on stats page: 3 Not terrible, but the yellow was better. New Equipment Page: 10 Love that new character close up. Run Button: 5 I don't care what the mods say, it is smaller. Lumbridge Bank: 8 With RFD done this doesn't affect me. Compass 9 Just as easy to use, but looks better. Rune Boots: 10 Can't fault this. Free Lumbridge teleport: 10 Great idea.

Songs That...
There are a few classical pieces that really do it for me as well. Now We Are Free (from Gladiator) by Hans Zimmer, Libera Me by Leon is very powerful when the cello and full orchestra comes in. The Heart Asks Pleasure First by Michael Nyman is pretty moving as well. The Theme from the Mission is good as well, but some arrangements are better than others.
