  1. For Darkness of Hallowvale http://tip.it/runescape/?rs2quest_id=145 please add tome of experience 3x2000 to any skill? (not sure how that works, exactly, cos I still haven't used mine, lol)
  2. sometimes you get unlucky on the "clock tick" and the effect disappears right away - it's happened to me often enough :(. I usually carry two or more for that reason. If you are p2p, look into the Trouble Brewing minigame (there's a tip.it guide), where you can earn money to buy "the stuff". Adding the "stuff" while brewing Hammerstone Hops has a 50% chance of making "mature" stout, which raises your mining by 2 temporarily instead of 1. See our cooking guide for info on brewing, etc.
  3. If anyone figures out how this is being done, please tell me because I could really use this ability, lol! (I'm not being sarcastic. I'm serious.)
  4. What we are trying to do is distinguish the good guides that Leesters has identified as being of excellent quality and really useful content. The other guides that users write will still be available, but the best guides will be marked. Some more restructuring will be done this weekend, and very soon afterwards a new set of rules will be posted explaining how to use the board for best results. Hope this helps explain a little.
  5. As you probably know, trimmed (t) and gold-trimmed (g) armour have the same stats as their base metal armour. God armour (Guthix, Saradomin and Zamorak) and Gilded armour is rune based, and so has the same stat bonuses as rune. If you mean Barrows brothers armour (Karil, Guthan, Verac, etc) and the bonus that you get from having a complete and matching set, that is a whole different ball game. If that's the case, change your topic title and I'm sure someone will help you (I know nothing about it lol).
  6. In my opinion Herblore was very hard to level before Farming came along. I used to kill Chaos Druids in the tower northwest of Ardougne (some Thieving is required to pick the lock to enter), but I've heard the herb drops there have been nerfed slightly (no more drops of two herbs). Obviously you know about Farming. Since Tarromin seeds are fairly common and easy to get from pickpocketing Master Farmers, I end up with a lot of them. The great thing is that I don't care if they die because they aren't rare seeds. Once they grow, mix them with Ashes (assuming you have done the Shades of Mort'ton quest http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=78 where you learn how) to make Serum 207. Ashes are much easier to get than other ingredients, and the xp is the same as any other Tarromin potion. :D After making the serum, you can either empty the vials to reuse them, or wander over to Mort'ton and treat the local villagers. They reward you with small amounts of gp, vials, and ... MORE HERBS, lol! I always end up leaving there with more potions than I started with, ha ha. And the bank in Burgh de Rott (from In Aid of Myreque quest) is handy. I also use every genie etc that I get on Herblore. Good luck.

  11. As far as the major fansites know, there is no way to reobtain the Wrought Iron Key which is the reward from this quest. Sorry. :(
  12. This is the archived guide - replies and discussion should be made in the original P2P thread http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?p=2759832

  14. lordfan21 is correct about reduced xp in abyss - I observed this in the fairy rings abyss, anyways. Fletching is the only really low xp that I know of - I think that chiseling opal gems into tips used to give *very* low xp ... dunno if that changed with the bolt update, of course.

  16. Um, pouches do store normal rune essence for members. I just checked in on my own character to make sure. Perhaps your pouches had deteriorated when you tried it ... I dunno.

[DISCLAIMER] What the hell are you talking about? Please tell me, do you know absolutely anything about the Christian religion? I'd really be surprised if you were able to back up what you just said with a biblical quote. I didn't go to any of the links at the beginning, but unless there's something really ridiculous in it then there was absolutely no reason for you to say that, as it's ridiculous itself. Think before you post next time. I realize LP's post was removed (probably for being inflammatory), but part of it was relevant. We *have* had people professing to be Christians shooting clinic doctors, bombing black churches, and other kinds of acts that are totally against Christian teachings. The Irish have been terrorizing each other (and England) for years over their respective Christian religions. Let's face it: history documents mass genocides performed in the name of the Prince of Peace . These evils don't represent Christianity! What this proves is only that there are people who can and will take any decent religion and twist it into something hateful, believing themselves to be pious and correct. On a lower level, there are always people who are smug about their belief (or nonbelief!), broadcasting to all and sundry their conviction that they are somehow superior to those who believe otherwise. (Tell the truth, non-believers - don't you also think you are superior, and that believers are sad and misguided? The "imaginary friend" phrase comes to mind. EDIT: And I wrote this before someone posted that!) That doesn't mean that belief is wrong or twisted - it's a shame that our current society thinks it's "cool" not to have personal beliefs. I lay this wide-spreading attitude at the door of Hollywood, where many troubled people who don't believe in *anything* try to find purpose in their lives by becoming famous. But people without beliefs may end up living shallow, empty lives, constantly searching for something they can't find. Regarding intelligence, however, I have news for ya. Studies show that 95% of SCIENTISTS (some of the smartest, most educated and most knowledgeable people in our government-sanctioned worship of the Scientific Method) believe in a Higher Power. People who study the world, life and it's origins come to believe that life and the Universe is *so* darn complex that it just couldn't be an accident. This isn't out of laziness - many are shocked when they get to that point, realizing there are questions that science simply can't answer. Rotten things can happen to kids that make it extremely difficult to believe in a Higher Power - I don't mean things that get put in the newspaper - I mean things that keep a child from feeling secure. I personally didn't believe for most of my life; went through all the church ceremonies but stopped attending when I got too big for my parents to make me. I didn't go back for 13 years, then went one day (basically on a dare). I was stunned to find that I could feel comfortable in a church: a different one which reflected my beliefs much better than the religion in which I was raised. I can't claim that belief will come to any of you. Nobody can show you "the facts" - that's the whole leap of religious belief. Accepting something that is fundamentally "unknowable" is a basic part of it - a duality that the Scientific Method just can't bend its' mind around, lol. Rather than being more rigid (as believers are typically portrayed), I think a mind has to be a lot more flexible to gain faith. But hopefully you are being raised in a society that tolerates and tries to understand each others' beliefs (including believers learning to understand unbelievers, and vice versa!), and realizes that extremists don't represent the majority of believers. 18. In the quest, there was a special series of coordinates that had to be dialed to get to the Queen's hiding place. It's been speculated that such a series may be needed to get to this one, as well. If you check the Jagex knowledge base article, they tried to imply that either (a) more locations would be added later, or (B) there were non-obvious locations. It's kinda hard to add this one as we don't know how to tell people to get there. We can look at adding it as a "departure only" spot in the text of the Getting Around Guide, and possibly the map page text, I guess.
  19. DISCLAIMER: the opinions expressed here are my own and do not represent Tip.It staff or management Very nice article! I'm getting used to the run button (I actually find it without clicking the emotes guy 2 out of 4 times now), but there's one beef that they didn't correct: The WEIGHT info. You still have to go through the equipment list to find it, and guess what? You stop walking or running when you click that button! So I'm still peeved about that, heh heh. As for speculation on RS3, I tend to disagree. I believe that the whole reason for the serious upgrades that they've made to the game engine and coding language in the last six months is to allow RS3 to happen all around us every week, lol - meaning no need for the upheaval of transferring to a new game, just a constant flow of new features and good stuff added to RS2. I enjoy reading the Times each week, and look forward to the next one! DISCLAIMER: the opinions expressed here are my own and do not represent Tip.It staff or management
